ladies, does your husband know your weigh?

He does because he made me get on the scale this past July when we both got serious about losing some weight. I hadn't been on one in three years or so. The number was painfully shocking and I've lost 12 lbs since then. Everytime the number changes, I tell him!

I think so. We talk about our weights a lot because both of us weigh ourselves at the gym at least once a week. When I hit a certain high that I set for myself, I announce to him that it's time to cut back on snacking, and increase the workouts. We pride ourselves at maintaining (withing a 5 lb range) the weight we were at when we first met 12 years ago, and 2 kids ago.

Nope, definitely not. I don't know how much I weigh either though. I've recovered from an eating disorder and find that weighing myself triggers bad feelings. I like to just pay attention to how my clothes fit.

No, on the basis that I don't think I could pay him to care. He doesn't know his own weight either. Just not a topic on his agenda.
Anyway, didn't you ask this already?

Oh yes. We did weight watchers together and weighed in together each week so we know our exact weights.

I am being a little more coy about it now that I am pregnant 8)

Dreamer you're pregnant? :appl: Congrats! So... i'm pregnant too and my husband always knew my weight...Before i got pregnant he knew it because i was so proud of the fact that i could weigh 160 pounds with the height that i've got and i kept telling him :halo: Now he knows because i'm on the fourth month of my pregnancy and i've already gained 8 pounds, so my doctor is extremely upset at me and i'm talking about the issue all the time to DH in the hopes of getting some moral support, lol  (by the way,it doesn't work... he says that the doctor is right and i should stop eating as much as i do :blackeye: sniff...).

Come join us in the pregnant PSers thread naty! https://www.pricescope.com/forum/fa...ing-all-the-pregnant-ps-ers-t47081-31770.html It is an aside but tell your doctor and hubby to stuff it about the weight gain ;)) . 8lbs at 16 weeks is really good. There is no benefit to them nagging you, it only adds to stress

Yep, I weigh in daily (so does he). Its much easier to loose 5 lbs than 15!

Yes. He knows what I weigh and I know what he weighs because we weigh our animals together about once a month. We have three cats and two dogs and we have to make sure they're maintaining a healthy weight so we can monitor their diets. We bring the scale out to the living room and take turns weighing the furbabies.

DH is 5'8" and I'm 5'10", and we typically weigh in very close to each other. I like weighing myself every so often to keep an eye on things. I haven't been doing any lifting lately so I've lost some muscle weight, which is a bad thing. :knockout:

We also weigh ourselves together before we go on vacation to see how much we gain eating all those delicious foreign meals. :cheeky:

I wouldn't mind telling my hubs what I weigh, but he couldn't possibly care less. Honestly.

Mine does too - like Haven, we take turns weighing our cats. There's only a small space in the apt where the floor is perfectly level and it's in the middle of the kitchen, so no hiding the screen even if we wanted to :cheeky:

I doubt he remembers what he saw five minutes later, though! I don't remember his weight either...

I think he knows just based on how I look but it's a touchy subject for me and I refuse to tell anyone. I've gained alot of weight and just hearing or seeing the number makes me feel yucky. I'm losing and at some point I'll be able to say this is what I weighed and this is what I weigh now but it makes me feel bad to say it to another person. I know FI wouldn't care but it makes me feel ugly so I'd rather not have him know. ;(

Yup, down to the ounce. He even knows how much I fluctuate between morning and night.

HEY!

I kind of resent this thread! :o

Hey, DF, does your wife know how much YOU weigh? 8)

Mine does, because he asks every now and then. And I know his.

probably less than her...she eats like a PIG... :!:

Ha. Apart from being very discourteous and ill-mannered, you're probably also wrong. I married someone who eats all the time, every day. If I was asked to describe his face, I would struggle to picture it without his hand in front of it, holding a snack...

I don't know or care what he weighs, but it isn't much. He has to run around to get wet in the shower.

Tell your husband that pregnancy weight doesn't mean anything! I gained about 60lbs each pregnancy. Over 10lbs gained in the first trimester, but lost all the weight both times. Nursing, lack of sleep and chasing after active littles ones will literally melt the weight away.

Yep. We do WW together and lean on each other to keep us on track. In the very beginning I felt awkward and bad about it. Now it's just normal and fine, I can't imagine hiding it from him now.

Yep. Especially since I am pregnant and am monitoring my weight (and complaining about it) regularly! :cheeky:

Please. 8 lbs at 4 months?? That's not bad at all, especially since many women don't gain too much in the third tri because you're so big that there's no room for food anywhere. I gained 40 lbs. with my daughter and lost it within 2 months (nursing and chasing after a 19 month old and caring for a newborn DO melt the weight off as jaysonsmom pointed out). As long as you weren't obese to start with, don't give 8 lbs. a second thought.

Guys thank you so much for the support...My doctor has really freaked me out. I was there last Friday and he said that i shouldn't gain a single gram during the next month, in order to make up for the weight that i've gained already :blackeye: The comments at the office aren't helping either. Everybody's used to my tall and very slim figure and now that i'm pregnant they just can't get over the fact that i've got a bigger tummy and a chubbier body. What, are they nuts? Am i supposed to look like a Victoria's Secret model during my pregnancy? And all the comments come from ladies who have been through more than one pregnancies...What kind of terrorism is that? Today i made it very clear that my weight and figure are not to be discussed any further at the office, period.
It's such a relief to read your posts ladies.I feel as if the entire universe has conspired against me in order to drive me crazy and i really felt better now that i realized that i'm not alone...
DF i'm so sorry for the threadjack...

TIME TO GET A NEW DOCTOR! This one is a quack, seriously. I had both my children with certified nurse midwives (in the hospital), and they are SO much better than patronizing, jerky doctors. Google the certified nurse midwives, it is a professional medical designation and they work under MD's in case of any issues. They go to school for a jillion years. Find one you are comfortable with, it is a much better birth experience all the way through.

And good for you, putting your foot down at work! What ever happened to "None of Your Business"?

Gosh and golly, NO! I mean, he'd hardly consider me a lady, then, would he? It's best he just guess based on what he sees (all crammed into my corset and extra-control tops) All I know is as long as he can lift me in his big man arms with his big man muscles, I'm safe and know I will always be the right weight for him.

I'm a-gonna zip my lip and go bat my eyelashes for awhile.

Also, on a more serious note, 8 lbs/4 months -- ROCK ON!
And Dreamer -- I missed this. Congrats, hon!

HI:

Weight is a non issue in our household--don't own a scale, never have. The only reason my DH knows my weight is b/c I recently shared my Doc wouldn't mind if I gained a bit of weight (109 lbs, 5'6"). But my DH and I are both always around the same size--so there is nothing to discuss!

cheers--Sharon

Not trying to be rude or anything but what your doctor is asking you to do makes sense. 5'6, 109 is considered underweight.

I'm not really concerned, I'm just stating facts. You chose to display your height and weight. That is that.

NO!

I'm to embarrassed to even say it out loud to myself, let alone to my husband!
