Sometimes my thoughts drift back to ECs....
Ahh I love this setting!!
DELSTER....this is what my grandmother''s looks like! The only difference (besides the round center) is the middle baguette is the same length as the others, so there is a small space between it and the center. Glad Ninama posted this, as I am sure my description was lacking!

Dream ring? Please refer to my Avatar. I''d have it custom made in platinum with the stones upgraded all around as high as I can go. Or...this at 4 cts.:

Oooh Miscka that is very pretty! And Ninama it's gorgeous with the EC too! I hadn't looked at this thread in a while, there's been some beautiful rings posted in here

Ninama you must tell us where that ring is from so Miscka can go play with it!!

So, since I went trying ON rings I've been thinking some. It turned out I didn't like the head on the Tiffany ring with the square cut channel-set band. And I actually preferred the style of the Cartier 1895 solitaire better (it's a gentle cathedral setting, similar to the WF sleek lines range). Sooooo, I was looking at Leon Mege's website and how about this? Imagine the ring on the left but with the band from the ring on the right... likey? I likey!

(I hope this doesn't come out HUUUGE!)

ETA: Despite all this talk I suspect I'll end up with a plain and classic solitaire! I flirt with all these fancy schmancy diamond settings but the plain solitaire with an eternity band just speaks to me the most...

Ahh I love it Delster! Loooooooove that band. Really, really love it. If you find anything else similar, let me know! I may end up with a solitaire as well, with either the Facets-style square emerald eternity, or that Kate Pearce posted in SMTR. Sigh.

I wouldn''t turn down the EC Hudson posted either!!!!

.... and as long as I''m dreaming...

I''ve posted this ring before - an exception to my aversion to marquise cuts (this one is fat and rounded), I''d truly enjoy seeing this on my finger:

Incredibly Rare Golconda Diamond

Known as the “Ultimate Diamond,” this ring boasts an extremely rare and highly important Internally Flawless Golconda diamond weighing an amazing 9.83 carats. This glorious marquise-cut diamond is certified by the Gemological Institute of America and the Gubelin Gem Lab. It is, by all standards, one of the very finest diamonds in the world. This diamond is splendidly cut in an antique modified oval marquise and, because it is Internally Flawless, it literally glows. While all Golconda diamonds are quite rare, a large example such as this, weighing almost 10.00 full carats, is truly extraordinary. Set in platinum.

Thanks Ninama!!!

This is the one I want...18K white gold bridal set with starburst design. Engagement mounting with millgrain edge and 0.17-CT of pave-set diamonds. Matching eternity band with 0.48-CT of diamonds.

hahaha in my dreams...op but i guess that''s why it''s called a dream ring

personally i''d be happy with with a cracker jack ring...especially if it whistled

Smurfysmiles, That is a beatiful set. Do you know who makes it? I would love to research that one

i found it on theknot.com

i think it is called OGI or something like that

Thank you.

This is my dream ring! ( hope I attached this correctly). I love anything in a princess cut, especially with the small stones in the band. Not sure how it would look with a w-ring, but the e-ring is great by itself. I also like a lot of the channel settings on rings by Precision Set. As far as the other details, I''d like a 2 carat... my fingers are really small, so anything bigger might be too much. My friend who''s been married several years has a 5 carat oval. It''s enormous!

lxb87, I adore princess cuts also. Well, most squarish cuts, not just the princess. I really like that setting!
