Sometimes, you just need to take a shotgun approach. Today I stopped in TJMax after running an errand at the same plaza, and spotted some potential wedding earrings. Then, I went to the mall to return something and discovered that JCPenney has all their costume jewelry on sale. The result? I came home at the end of the night with 6 new pairs of earrings, all of them under 30 dollars, to try with my dress. If they don''t work, so be it - TJMax and JCP both have great return policies.

So, your opinions, please!

Drumroll.....

Option 1

Option 2

Option 3

Option 4

Option 5

My favorites are 2 and 4. 2 is more elegant, but 4 is more extravagant.

ETA: Oops I interrupted, sorry! I still like 2 and 4 the most.

And, finally, Option 6

Okay. SO I've been meaning to TALK TO YOU about THIS.

How darlin' are you wearing your hair? Cause I've seen pics of you with it down in that gown and let me tell you... you are a KNOCK out. But you keep wearing your hair up in all the jewelry threads, so you may be going with an updo... SO... while I love many of those. For me it depends on the hairstyle.

Then I'll vote for either 2, 3 or 4. Great choices.

By the way is this a hint that I don't need to spend 200 bucks to get a nice pair of earrings. LOL?

Me likey 1 and 5. They are all, frankly, gorgeous. Really do not think you cannot go wrong.

LOL. I pick 2,3,4 DF picks 1 and 5!!!

They are ALL great. And I do like 1 and 5 too.

Gypsy, my hair plan is to wear it up, BECAUSE....

a) mid-afternoon outdoor wedding in potentially hot humid weather, and I HATE sweaty hair back, particularly full of hairspray
b) my hair refuses to hold any kind of down style for more than an hour. After that, it''s anybody''s guess what it will look like. This includes professional attempts - curl just falls out of it and it gets all separated/weird.

I''m thinking french twist or similar, which is why I''ve been wearing it up for pics.

Gypsy, I thought one and five had a nice simplicity, and I liked the length with Lady''s facial structure...but I think they are just all great.

oooooooooo great finds! I like 1, 4 and 5.

LOOOOVE #1!!!!!!!!

ETA - OK I've looked about 8 times now. #1 and #2 are my favs. #2 might be my first pick now actually, but can't explain why. I love the dangling crystal on #1 but they might be a little TOO big? #2 looks so nice on your face and they don't distract me. Looking at #1 I find myself staring at the earrings, but looking at #2 I'm just looking at you with some great earrings in!!

You have flawless taste in jewelry so I'm going to defer to you. Also I got 5 and 6 confused. SO I definitely add 5 to my list. The reason I didn't pick 1 is that it seemed the most casual to me. I'd wear those just out to dinner. But well, I'm an admitted earring freak. I didn't pick six cause they were too small, and too vintage in feel.

As for hair up. I hear ya Lady C... but I REALLY want you to know that I LOVE your hair down too.

For reference... and because I''m a PITA. Here is LadyC with her hair down ya''ll.

(Don''t ask about the southern thing I was watching TV).

G, I liked 1 because they looked simple and elegant, a bit vintage, and the drop looked like a briolette to me, and I love them.

I think the line of the dress will look nice with her hair up to show her dress and shoulders, but I NEVER do updos so it is hard for me. I do half up and half down, with some height, but cannot do all up, I am too self conscious for that.

#5 with hair down. If you wear it up, still #5 (but your hair looks so pretty and shiny down... not that it wouldn''t look pretty in the french twist or whatever... but I''m just sayin''

See, flawless taste.

I never do all up either. My face is too fat for it I''ve got these CHEEKS. And these CHINS (plural, unfortunately. And ACCURATE, more unfortunately). Lady C''s got great shoulders and neck... but I love the softer look of her hair down. It could just be that she looks so genuinesly HAPPY in that hair down pic.

Okay so I talking about the Lady in third person. PLEASE forgive me Lady C.

Haha, you guys are too funny. Ganging up on my updo...

I was flipping channels the other night and American Wedding (from the American Pie series) was on. I have no reason to think any of you have seen the movie, but it was the wedding scene and I LOVE LOVE LOVED her hair. It was the most perfect french twist like updo I''ve seen. So, I''m renting it from the library with plans to get some good still shots of it. Can''t find any online. Argh. However, there''s a video on youtube if you''re willing to squint and use your imagination. http://youtube.com/watch?v=dnykJpelde4&feature=related Go to the 2min mark and watch from there.

Haha, Gypsy, you're right on with the happy thing. In the hair down pic, it was the first time my MOH came over to see my actual dress just days after it was delivered, so I was in the midst of a super girly I'm a bride moment. In all the jewelry pics, I'm kind of just trying to smile pretty for the camera. Never works the same....

ETA: And god do I look like my mother in these pics....

They are all gorgeous (as are you AND your gown!) My personal favorites are #6 because they are just darling and somewhat more petite than the others, thus they don''t compete with the gown at all. Not that the others compete in a bad way - I just always tend to prefer more petite earrings!

Either way, gorgeous!

Ok, so, I was going to hold my thoughts, but since everybody has different opinions anyway, I might as well share, right? I don''t think I''ve picked a favorite yet, but I do think 3 are out. I just don''t like them much. I like the shape and attitude of 1, but they seem to think they''re mini, surprisingly loud, wind chimes. The little briolette in the middle dances against the outer loop. However, I DO really like how they look and I''m sure I could live with the sound. I think I like the shapes of 1 and 2 about equally, but in person 2 are so bright that I find them distracting when I look in the mirror. It''s like they''re a solid pane of shine. I guess that''s the opposite of what karasue said. Of the chandeliers, I like 4 better than 5, but I''m greatly swayed by weight. 5 are HEAVY and I''m not sure I could wear them all day/night. Six look nice in the photos, but I like them less in person - maybe it''s the square stones around the bottom drop? I think I could probably find something of the same size/sparkle factor that I like better.

So, all in all, no astounding conclusions, but lots to think about.

I like 1 and 6 the best!

I like 1 the best. I really think that the longer earrings that get wider at the bottom look better with your face shape and what I can see of your dress. But all are good choices, really.

OK, if #5 is too heavy, then my vote goes to #4. (I do like #1 also, but not if the jingling would bug you).

i like number 4!! it seems to match your dress the best. =)

I vote for #2! I don''t know if anyone else really cares about this, but I prefer a "covered post" (not really sure how to describe) rather than the naked french wire so you can see your piercing hole. Just a personal opinion, but I think the dangly earrings with a post look a little bit more finished/elegant.
