Let's play a game... rainbow gems.

@Mjay I'm so glad you included your new garnet! It's so yummy!!

@Shiny Black Cat I never tire of seeing amber... each piece is so different. Beautiful cab!!

@Daisys and Diamonds You were holding out on us, my friend! That ring is lovely!!

@CHRISTY-DANIELLE These true purple garnets (I think they're called "royal purple" in the trade... a variation of rhodolite) are really a sight to behold. I didn't even know they existed a few years back. Now they're my very favorite purple gem!

@LemonMoonLex That pink sapphire looks good enough to eat!! :P2

@elle_71125 That "yellow" photo is everything... the beautiful sapphire/ring, your nails, the sunflower. You really do have an artist's eye!!

BLUE is up next!!

Yes Mozambique material and so stunning in person. It's my first truly purple garnet and I love it!

Sh*t!, I just found these so back to green with you all! :praise:
Some of my mom's green tourmalines. Pendant and pinky ring, very 80's

That moonstone is perfection, @lilmosun! A fine CRD creation for sure. :cool2:

@ItsMainelyYou Green tourm is so underrated, my friend!! I love how a few of your stones are set east-west. I never have quite the right cut for that orientation.

PURPLE is up again!

You know, I think this is where I get it from, she had a few east west oriented rings. I almost always prefer it and it's the first thing I do with a new gem, I plop it on it's side and see what it says.

Pink spinel. Yep, I bought the spinel with the fracture. It’s more of a Highlighter pink when the sun hits it, and a dusty rose color (2nd pic is what it looks closer to) when not in direct sunlight. Other times when incandescent light, it gives of a orange-reddish color in place of the highlighter pink (4th pic kinda shows it) . OTL’s photo captures the highlighter pink color better (3rd pic)12524482-55F2-4487-9486-545FF055CC5A.jpeg5CA904E6-64A4-4935-AD4F-6AE382BDDD0E.jpeg765F487A-6C23-402A-A517-04A04414FB21.jpegC6F0A3CB-BEAC-4AA9-B795-06B9E321533A.jpeg

Green Variscite.
I wear this a lot, it's very soothing for some reason.

I love older style amethyst rings
This is a beauty

makes me so mad to see the cheap uninteresting settings used on so many of today's amethysts

@Daisys and Diamonds Thank you, Grandma would have loved your comment! This was when jewellery wasn’t so conveniently available and when amethysts were still something special. I showed it to two jewellers commenting that it was too big for me. They both said they wouldn’t change a thing :kiss2:

@Mkrsz1ppy Love that bold east-west design!! :mrgreen2: You guys are inspiring me to try to work the design into one of my rings. And are those chrysoberyl cabs with the spessartine? Yum...

@Ellipses I was hoping you'd include your new beauty "on the porch" with us!

@AudreyC Uh... ya... that will do! The combination of pink, blue, and yellow together is one of my very favorites... beautimous!! I also love seeing jewels from different generations, like your precious gram's amethyst ring. Just lovely.

@Gloria27 I have an extensive collection of variscite! I will have to share. Gorgeous pendant!!

@Shiny Black Cat Maybe topaz or aqua? I love the tapered baguette shape!!

PINK is next, friends!

The e/w is new to me too, but I’m a fan! And what a great eye you have. Yes, they are chrysoberyl cabs. My jelly beans! Thanks for the love.
