Let's play a game... rainbow gems.

@AudreyC How cute is your little bunny! And I love yellow jadeite!! I recently used it as my "yellow" stone in a pastel rainbow pendant I had made by a Navajo artist. I'll have to share it. I've been obsessed with rainbows since I was a wee tyke!

@Daisys and Diamonds I'm really fond of the organic leaf design in those earrings! The color green went from being one of my least favorite colors as a kid, to one of my very favorites since discovering gems!! :kiss2:

@Gloria27 That turquoise cab is incredible!!

@Niel Is that purple sapphire... it's so juicy! Yummm.

@Nick_G That little beauty looks like marble-hosted ruby! I bet it fluoresces like crazy. Nice!!

@Shiny Black Cat Oooooo I like this one! For a moment, I thought it was bi-color tourmaline or something similiar. It's a pleochroic smoky quartz! Cool!!

YELLOW is up, friends!

Yes it is indeed a marble-hosted ruby, and yes it does fluoresce pretty intensely in LWUV.

@Autumn in New England Thanks! It is such fun having the bunny around.
I love rainbows too. Please share your pendant - it can count as one whole cycle here=)2
RED is next.

Burmese spinel. I’m pretty sure this should actually be red-pink rather then the red Yvonne put in the product title, but sometimes it turns bright red (like the second image but more red) depending on how much light it is given. Unfortunately I don’t have it with me right as it is getting a slight makeover.8C57603D-E053-4742-B986-A1ACF240089B.jpeg743DC33E-4993-4CA0-A80E-0B839A01248E.jpeg

Do you wear it on the ribbon ?
I love that :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl:

@BrilliantStars Welcome to our little corner of the forum! Your purple tourmaline is gorgeous!!

@AudreyC That spinel is what every pink spinel hopes to be... perfection. I love that it's a pear too. We don't see many, do we?

@Ellipses It looks like a very juicy red with a touch of pink... yummy! What are your plans for the new mounting? Still a pendant?

@oncrutchesrightnow Ooooo coral... how beautimous!

@prs But your citrine is so lovely that it is welcome to post out of order!!

YELLOW is up!

My green saphire
Horribly picture because the diamonds do sparkle and look nice and white
And the saphire, to its credit also sparkles (thats the nicest thing ive ever said anout it)
the saphire is the colour of my eyes
i would like to get a better saphire one day - its a bit if a disappointment and not a cheap one like a peridot (we are talking mall prices here)

Good lord, how many carats is that thing, @prs?! I see that you also subscribe to the motto of "go big or go home." It's breathtaking!!

I love your green sapphire, @Daisys and Diamonds! And if that is the color of your eyes, then you are very lucky indeed. Remember crashle was looking for that exact shade?! She finally found it. Your stone matches your dear Tibby's eyes too (did I get the name right?). :)

Next up: BLUE

Hmmm how about if this post counts for purple this round. @stracci2000 These may interest you!

I sourced and cut all of the gems (each is natural/no enhancement), and designed the cluster pendants. Navajo master silversmith Henry Yazzie did a beautiful job bringing them to life. I told you all I was obsessed with rainbows. These guys are a little over 3" long. I find it impossible to be glum while wearing one of these!

The left pendant is sugilite, Mediterranean coral, orange spiny oyster shell, calcite, chrysoprase, SB turquoise, and lapis in the middle.

The pastel version on the right is charoite, rhodonite, Japanese coral, yellow amber, variscite, gem silica, and dumortierite in the middle.

@AudreyC I thought I used yellow jadeite in one of these, but I was mistaken! Not sure what I used it in now...

Now this is why I'm a jewelry junkie!
Spectacular colors! I hope you wear them regularly...they deserve to be seen!

More PINK tourmaline. Am I doing this right, or should the color have changed again?

2 Hot Pink Ringdant 11.jpg

@prs Very nice pink. Here is the order as mentioned in the very first post by @Autumn in New England
”So it would be red first, then orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and let's add pink at the end for good measure. Any variation of those colors will do.... any quality, any cut (cab/faceted/rough), etc.”

Since we have had pink, red and orange the next colour would be yellow. I guess pink was added because we might be hard pressed to come up with indigo each cycle. I don’t have many YELLOW items, so I am looking forward to see what comes next!

That particular colour gets me everytime :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: - and i don't normally like pink

Its gets a bit confusing with the inclusion of pink into our rainbow ... i can see my 3rd form science teacher shaking her head (possibly and the art teacher :lol-2: )
But how can we not have pink in the P.S. rainbow

Thank you @AudreyC I get it now and pulled out from deep in my brain a youth learned rainbow memory aid: ROYGBIV.

Indigo might be a problem, maybe it's fair we traded it in for Pink? :lol-2:
