Let's play a game... rainbow gems.

Pink star sapphire. Diamonds are blurry, but it's really hard to get the star(s) to show up without totally washing out the stone. From the top, it's a single star, but at this angle you can see two. Btw, I don't know what the black spot is, but it's not there IRL.pink star.jpg

I have a pair of yellow diamond hearts. Sorry for the horrid photo.

Ok, wow. First of all, you guys are all nailing this "game." What a pleasure it has been to go through every post and see a kaleidoscope of vibrant color. That's the effect I was hoping for. But I'm finding it tremendously difficult not to comment on each post! :kiss2: It weighs down the thread, so I'll attempt to keep it brief. But I must respond to a few!

@colorluvr I love that you took this idea and ran with it! Thank you for showing us part of your fabulous collection!! That is one of the finest aquas I've seen in a long time. I also need to comment on the lavender star sapph, because that's a first for me! Lastly, I so appreciate your throwing some golden beryl in there. We hadn't seen it yet!!

@lilmosun You did not just whip out some lapis?! I collect this stone, and I'm thrilled to see it included here. Yours is super high grade!!

@icy_jade That is my idea of the perfect spess shade. Period.

@Acinom The color of that paraiba is positively transcendent!

@Shiny Black Cat Thank you for showing us some unexpected choices! The brooch is lovely!! The chevron amethyst you shared is really interesting. We call that cape amethyst in the states!

Unheated purple tanzanite

This is one of the prettiest rings I've seen, my friend! I'm a sucker for multicolor pastel pieces. And to find an unheated tanzie in that fine a color is so rare!

A bubblegum pink pezzottaite under the microscope :)

Yessss!! A super rare exotic!! Thank you for gracing our thread with this beauty!!

My Loliondo spess ring:

Oh my goodness... I have no words. Is the halo spinel?

Amethyst and tanzanite ring fresh off eBay. With a bonus Oreo cat in the background

Great find! Thank you for sharing!! I always meant to comment on your profile pic too... your kitty's little blep is soooooooo adorbs.

Blue spinel

Really cool to see some blue spinel this go-round!

Pink tourmaline. Bright bubble gum pink IRL, my camera and my skintone washes it out.

My mom's birthstone, my dad bought this for her, and she passed on to me decades later. She never was much of a jewelry person.

Yummy additions, ladies! I'll throw my mandarin garnet in for orange. I'm trying to think of something else for orange too... hmm we've seen fire opal and sapphire. Maybe sunstone or andesine? What else is there? Oh imperial topaz! I have one around here somewhere. Not many orange stones, I'm realizing! Anyway... spess never gets old. :)
