oh wow - what an amazing image that makes!!!! So ethereal.... beautiful! Was your dress completely ruined or did you salvage it?

Thanks, Claireabelle - the dress was an inexpensive 2nd gown from Jessica McClintock in a crinkled polyester taffeta. It''s actually whiter and cleaner than it was from the day of the beach - believe it or not!

I wouldn''t try it with any silk-satins or dupionis anything, but I think man made fabrics should be just fine. Beware the exit, though - dresses get HEAVY when they''re water-laden!

Hi Ellen! yes, we loved DR. We have been there twice now. Once to Puerto Plata and this time was Punta Cana. Nice beaches and the Dominicans are very friendly. It is a good time, I highly recommend it!
