I thought i was the biggest Rene Lalique fan around but that exact replica tatto of his dragon fly woman(one of his first jewelry masterworks!) puts me in second place! His designs are second to none!WOW!!

Lalique glass; one of his chief designers, Pierre D''Avesn, who designed the Serpents vase and the Les Tourbillons vase, actually worked for Verlys of France designing most of their stuff, so I keep my eye out for D''Avesn''s work too... it''s usually a lot more reasonable without the R. Lalique signature, and often just as beautiful! Do you like and/or collect Rene Lalique glass, too? Or are you just a fan of his jewelry?

I LOVE art nouveau styles, especially the jewelry. My ering is actually a copy of an art nouveau ring from Alfred Eugene Levaliere (sp). I don''t own anything authentic, but when I move up in the world, it will be the top of my priority list.

Thanks HeadOverHeels. I posted a pic in the beginning of the thread (wearing black). This pic was taken yesterday (with BIG curly hair)..lol. Not sure if you can see the eyes close enough, but they are not as bright a blue as YOURS (unless I''m out in the sunlight).

Are we showing our age, or what? She wasn't exactly an icon like Taylor, Hepburn, or Garbo!!

No, she didn't get the chance, or the chance to do a lot of things, as she was so brutally murdered at the age of 26 while she was 8 and a half months pregnant.

So incredibly sad and horrifying. She was so beautiful. I first saw her in Valley of the Dolls about 5 years ago.(LOVE Valley of the Dolls!)That's the only thing I've seen her in, but talk about gorgeous! Poor Sharon Tate.

I know, she had a very rare beauty, and by all accounts, she was as sweet and kind as she was beautiful.
