Thrilled to hear the good news. It made my day. My son is coming out of the hospital tomorrow and I hope little Angello will be soon to follow.
Keep well, Nan. You will need all your strength. You are amazing. You can see where Angello gets his ccourage.
He looks sooo much better Nan. You can see it in his eyes. I am sooooo happy for you and our little angel. Thanks for the pic, I think it''s a big difference from what I saw last week. Please give him lots of kisses for me. I can''t wait until I can hold him in my arms and hug him!!!!!!
Nan is probably home by now, but Angello is still doing great. I relayed all his information to my friend Gil who as many of you know has been following Angello with great interest. He is a doc at The Children''s Hospital of Philadelphia, anyway he is extremely encouraged by Angello''s numbers and stats. So I did relay this to Nan tonight and it made her very happy. So that''s it for tonight, it''s all good!!!!! But keep those good thoughts, prayers, vibes coming!!!!!
Oh, Nan! What you and Angello have been through! I read backwards, so that I know how he is first, before finding out how he got there. I read about how great he looked, then saw him looking as if he''d been through the wars! Poor, poor little guy!
So glad to hear that Angello is improving! He looks much better in that last photo. Prayers continue for him to recover even faster and get home as quickly as possible. Nan, my thoughts are with you and your family.
I haven''t heard from Nan yet, but did speak to her this morning as she was driving to the hospital. Today''s goal is to get him off the vent. As soon as I hear, I will post an update. I wouldn''t leave you guys hanging, I promise!!!
UPDATE: Nan just called and they are weaning him off the vent right now and hope to turn it off tonight or at the latest tomorrow. He is doing great!!!! Also she talked with the Cardiologist and talked with him about making sure that Angello stays in the PICU as long as necessary. The last thing he needs is to go to the regular floor and run into problems. The Cardiologist agrees and he is on this weekend and next and it''s up to him when Angello gets moved to the regular floor. So that''s very good news. That''s it for now.
thanks kaleigh! you have done a wonderful job of informing everyone about angello. i''m so glad everything is progressing well. i did not mean to sound inpatient. that is an expression i often use about no news being good news. picked it up from my mother. banjo
UPDATE: I talked to Nan earlier tonight. Seems like Angello has a bad bug that is being treated with extra antibiotics. Also it is a very contagious bug, so everyone that treats him has to wear a gown etc... His feeds have started back up as he will have to stay on the ventilator for a bit more. He is breathing over it so that is very good news. I pray this new infection goes away so that he can move forward. It''s unfortunate, but I know he will be fine.
This has been a roller coaster ride for Nan, Angello and her entire family. There will be ups and downs, but once they get rid of this infection he will be on his way to an uneventful recovery I''m sure. We need to give her strength right now. Darn bugs!!!!
