i am praying for a good day for angello. banjo

I haven''t heard anything yet today. I did speak to Nan this morning as she was headed to the hospital. I think today will be another good day. Fingers and toes are crossed.

I''m so glad to hear Angello''s doing better! Sending positive thoughts & continued prayers for a speedy, uneventful recovery...

They did change his dressing today, she said it was narly.
Well when they say they left his incision open; They AIN''T kidding.
OMG- that was pretty wild to see.
They gave him some good meds before they changed the dressing.

His numbers look good today but he had a fever this morning. I don''t know what that''s all about.
They continue to slowly lower his BP medicine and raise his feed amount.
He seems to be tolerating both.

He''s healing nicely.
That''s it for now. They''ll change the dressing again on Friday.
Our boy continues to point toward that exit door. God Bless Him!

The finger pointing for the door is a very good sign Nan. How high was the fever???

glad to hear he''s tolerating his feeds now and getting the bp meds lowered....that''s very good news!

prayers continue.

HI:

Without getting into the wound details (however tempted, given my ten years working in Burns and Plastics) , my experience with the VAC was that the old dressing might look "narly" but that is "expected".

Good news that he is tolerating things well!!

cheers--Sharon

yay!! i''m so glad he''s doing better. I know how anxious he must be to get home. Sounds like things are really moving in the right direction

Hello everyone.

The "Pointer" is doing Fine (to quote Storm)
9.gif

Lasix has been turned off (it gets the extra fluid off the body)
They took the oxygen monitors off his forehead.
They took out the foley (ouch) catherater (spelling).
His feeds are inching up slowly- his numbers look great and he''s Steady as Freddy.

I''m so happy for our little soldier. What a miracle.

here''s a pic from today
