Let''s Show Off Our 2-3 Carat "Center Stones" Here!

This was just for fun!
2.23ct G SI1 EX MRB
I went to trade in & upgrade my daughter’s Princess Cut studs, and decided to see what 2ct+ looked like on my 5.5 finger.
The setting is a stock soli.
I love the contrast between the two different cuts, and how each has their own personality!

Here are my little sparlklies, my ER is 2.41 E Si2 with medium Flourescence .
I'm not sure what finger size I am, I'm wearing a size Aussie H1/4 which I think is a size 4.5US? Excuse my old lady hands, I should have put some handcream on before I snapped the photo.

Beautiful

Aww thank you , yours is beautiful as well

Well, thank you....but that 2.23ct is still in the case at the jeweler’s...lol!! I was just excited to see what it looked like on me, compared to my EC.
I was surprised that there wasn’t more visible difference in size on my finger, between the two. Granted, they are two completely cut stones, but Rounds, generally, have better spread than fancies. That 2.23ct EX GSI1 rock is listed at over $26,000USD. At under 1mm spread difference between the two, I’d say this has proven my EC to be an even better bargain than we originally believed. She was under $4,000USD, at 1.07ct GSI2, and faces up to nearly 2ct, against a 2.23ct EX cut Round. I find that astonishing, and I now understand why the average person, outside of PS, who looks at my EC, gets excited & automatically thinks it’s 2ct.
Now, we all know, here, my 1.07ct EC would be eclipsed by a 2.23ct EC with the same dimensions. In fact, there’s a 74% increase. I can justify $26,000+ for that kind of upgrade. :lol-2:
I learned a lot in that moment. Not only what I would justify & what I wouldn’t, pertaining to price for mm spread hike, but also that I really am not a MRB girl. I love them. They look absolutely spectacular....but not on me. So many of you wear your rounds so beautifully. I just can’t see a round cut on my finger. This was proof that I am all step cut, at heart. ;)2
I love your beautiful ball of sunshine, @Vanilla Bling! I love everything about it, and it looks remarkable on your hand. It was meant for you!!! :mrgreen2:

I still can’t believe that I can post in here!

This is Eleanor. She’s a 2.16 J-VS AVC in a CvB Acacia plat + YG setting. And she’s !

I just took these this morning. She was showing off. :mrgreen2:

But seriously, she really is a thing of beauty. So special and I am so blessed that @JDDN picked me to care for her. She did an incredible job matching the stone and setting.

I know where you can get over 5cts of EC for $35k. Just saying! But you’re right. Your EC gives great coverage and she’s a stunner for sure!

Thank you!! I think I’ll continue to admire the balls of sunshine on everyone else (they’re all so beautiful), and stick to the step cuts, for myself...lol!! Maybe the Octavia was meant for me? *wink*

What goes through your mind, when you look down at your new diamond, and see a MRB, instead of your Marquise? Do you have to remind yourself that it’s yours, and not someone else’s? lol!!

Stunning! Great coverage.
May I ask how many mm is your ering band?

I still can’t believe it is mine. I still miss my Marquise but this is definitely my new baby. Lol. I must say she shines a lot. And I love that. Lol. The one you tried one was very nice. But your emerald is gorgeous. I guess after 10 years he said he would marry me all over again I am happy. Beautiful rings everyone. Congratulations to all.

I’m so glad you love your new blingy ball of sunshine; she’s beautiful!! Your ring looks completely different, now, but still beautiful!!
Congratulations on your 10 year Anniversary!!
Hopefully, in 10 years, I’ll add a larger diamond to my collection (and still keep my EC :Up_to_something2:). I’m thinking an Octavia between 1.75-2.0ct or an EC between 1.9-2.9ct. Practicality & available funds will determine all that.
I’ll just be thankful to still have DH at my side, and to be celebrating 10 years, at that point...lol! :lol-2:
I’m sure, as much as you miss your Marquise, you adjust to your new stunner, more & more, every day. ;)2

I am sure you will:clap:. I do miss her but I am getting used to my rb. I stare at her all the time. Can’t wait to see your 10 year upgrade. :appl:
