My 2.78 ct faceted Mozambique Paraiba is now with CvB for a custom setting. We haven’t decided just yet but it’ll definitely be a diamond halo style.

I'm waiting on this sapphire from Mastercuts to replace my lost engagement ring.

Once it arrives I'll bring it to my jeweler's for a custom design.
I also have some lovely 2.5mm silver spinel melee and I think they might look nice with the sapphire. I'll see once it gets here.

@Mekp Lovely colour of sapphire! I prefer a slightly lighter tone like this one. IMHO I think they have more sparkle and life than darker sapphires!

I'm stepping out of my all white metal comfort zone...in process of some geometric double dangles in wg and rose gold leverbacks with DanielM. I love the color combo of the bright garnets with the purple pink spinels.

My black opal and purple garnet ring is finished!
I am not good at taking pictures of opals, so I’m sharing screen shots of the setting progress from the maker of the ring, Emma Elizabeth Jewelry. I met Emma at an art fair and admired her bold and unique designs. I wanted this ring to be different from the pieces I already have, and Emma delivered without taking me too far out of my comfort zone .
The ring is made from my old gold that Emma melted down and re-used. The purple garnets came from Sukrita at Aurelia Gems. The black opal is from @jordyonbass at M’s Opal World. It shows a hot pink flash across its face when the light hits it just right.

Absolutely stunning!

Ugh ...these are embarassingly bad renderings. The stones will be set in milgrained white gold bezels. Bezels will be framed by rose gold geometric shapes, with rose gold leverbacks spinel in hexagon will be on ring so it can dangle freely.
I will say DanielM just seems to " get it", despite my marginal drawings!

Those earrings will be gorgeous, they feature all of my favorite colors I've seen a couple of the hexagon style rings on his sold page so I can visualize what they will look like when finished.

But I am curious, do you happen to know if her more traditional diamond halo design specifically like Delilah or Roya can be done via her interchangeable method? Or just the style she’s shown it as?

Hi @minousbijoux . I was waiting for a sunny day to take pictures and we finally have sun today! My pictures turned out terribly though, so I don't have any shots share yet.. I need to work on my opal photographing skills! I'm liking the liquidity (great word btw!) of the bezels and the metal too. It's super comfy to wear.

So here are some morning, indoor shots of the ring. Really loving the warmth of the stone. It does have a small window, but that personally doesn’t bother me. ( though, if In the future, I need to repair the ring at some point, I may consider a slight pavilion re cut.)
Spess garnet around 4.5 carats, Portuguese cut, Nambian, very clean, Sunkist orange color, size 8 ring size so I can wear it in my index and middle fingers. Today wearing on my ring finger because my left hand is my safer hand against knocks. Since it clashes with my blue sapphire E ring, today it’s my loose e ring replacement.

The ring looks so beautiful on your hand! It's gorgeous .
Have you tried the spiral ring noodles to tighten it up when you switch the ring to fingers where it's loose? I have some I bought that I really like and could recommend if you don't already have them.

I agree with you. The corners of the top look equal to the sides of the bottom. I like the top portion of the bottom right one most.

You’re right, the top portion should be smaller. I liked the top right and bottom right the best (With bottom right winning by a hair).

They are almost there. Agree the top needs to be a tad smaller, but I'm also wondering if the width of the rose gold geometric shapes is just a little bit too much in comparison to the width of the milgrained white gold bezels. The bezels are looking kind of lost.
