Ok, so i was browsing LOGR and noticed he put up a link to PS!! who told him about us??? haha I thought about it...but never did...

I mentioned PS through an email reply to him after I won my setting the other day. I told him that there was several members who were quite pleased with what they received. They have answered all my questions/concerns very promptly. So far I am impressed. Thanks Lauren! I hope you don''t mind, but I mentioned your name specifically!

Hrmmm..hopefully he won''t put up the prices now that he knows popular he is ...!
I sure don''t mind CCN! I''m just glad to have found this resource we can all use!

And Jane, I hope not, too! Honestly, I think he makes plenty in volume, but I have noticed prices inching up on BINs. I just wait it out for auctions.
2.gif

I will wait it out too!
Look at me, I haven''t even received my setting yet and I am thinking about another! Muhahahahah!
11.gif
While I am thinking about it, has anyone every ordered a setting with one of the stones set into it? If so, did you like the gemstone? Did it ring true to what he picture represented? They look pretty nice from what I can see.

I haven''t ordered one with a gemstone - I''ve not been too impressed with the pics of the peridot I liked, and I like the thrill of the hunt for the right gemstone anyway.

I too like the hunt of the gemstone! It gives me a little "creative control".

Yay! My LOGR has arrived, along with the stone I got for it - pics on my new thread!

I wanted to buy something like what you had, Lauren, for your OEC, but with an oval - unfortunately I lost that auction
8.gif
And I like the split shank with the peridot square (was it an asscher? can''t remember) set in it - although I would definitely have that replaced with my own stone
2.gif
Now that I saw the quality (which is very good - way better than what I was expecting!) I think I''ll definitely plan on a new purchase soon.

Just saw it and posted - it''s GORGEOUS!!!!!!

It''s dangerous how addicting it can become . . . I can''t believe I have . . . SIX . . . settings, and one eternity ring from him since the middle of July. Wowzers!

I think the LOGR guy should also pay you commission for all the business you got him, and all the positive feedback through PS.

I really love everyone''s settings, but it does seem that, even in the short few weeks I''ve been watching the auctions, that the starting prices are going up. Maybe I just started looking when they were at rock bottom prices, but I keep waiting for those kind of prices to come back and so far they haven''t.

Kelli, I always just watch the auctions that are highlighted, because they always start at around $.99. I won the round bezel set halo for $147 and someone just won the prong set 6.5 mm round halo for $103!

Just have to watch the auctions, and ignore the ones with the higher starting prices.

The Legacy starting price did go up from $249 to $259 though.

The oval ones I''ve been watching haven''t been the really cheap ones though. They were a few weeks ago, but now they''re all starting at $150ish or around $200. I should have just gone for it back then but was trying not to jump the gun. Oh well..... I''ll get one someday!

I just wanted to add to this thread that the guy that runs LOGR is very polite and efficient with refunds as well. As some of you may know, I ordered the Legacy style but decided to return it.
My refund did take a couple weeks, but he kept in comms the whole time and was very polite - here is the message that came with my refund notice:

Message from merchant: Full amount of the purchase price is refunded. I apologize for all the inconvenience caused by this, welcome back anytime and best wishes for your future online shopping experience

I thought it was worth posting this, as even though I wasn''t stoked with the product (in my case), I was very happy with the service .

Do you mind sharing what you didn''t like about the setting? I tried searching but didn''t find the answer.

Sure Charmy! I did post, but can''t remember where.
Personally, I could see quite a few "ring of death" in the melees, and the milgrain was dodgy and seemed broken around the bezel set stones..
As I said back when, from what I could tell I just got unlucky as Lauren''s and everyone else''s rings look really pretty.
If I were to do it again, I would probably "upgrade" the diamonds in clarity and maybe colour just to be safe.

Also influencing my decision though was just not being able to find a stone in the right size in the shades I wanted - if there''s a next time I will also find a stone first and then order the custom setting.
1.gif

But, my experience seems to be the minority, so I don''t want to discourage people.
Also, as I said the return was painless.

hth !

Not at all ! But thanks for your thoughts - I''ve found a new obsession to move onto - OEC''s and other vintage cuts!

Question for you lovely ladies...

If a setting has zero bids, can you offer lower than the starting price? Has anyone tried that?

Did you see the reference to Pricescope on all the LOGR auctions now?

Don''t believe what we say, read what our customers think about us, visit pricescope and search for "LOGR"

And it''s for this stone:

Kelli,
Did you upgrade the gold or diamonds (just curious). It is going to be one heck of a gorgeous ring, that''s for sure! Did you win it on auction, or just do the "Buy It Now?" I think I''m getting my LOGR halo in the mail today, can''t wait.

Yay, Kelli! It''s going to be a gorgeous set!

Ohhhhhh, can''t wait to see what you think! I have one coming in the mail this week, too.

Which setting did you get Lauren? Ooooh, can''t wait to see that one as well.

Thanks tourmaline_lover! I didn''t upgrade either one. I shouldn''t have spent the money in the first place, so SI will have to do
1.gif
. I actually didn''t win the auction. The starting price was $149 and I bid $151.50
20.gif
. I wasn''t really trying too hard to win it since I really didn''t need to spend the money. It sold for $164 or so, but then I got a second chance offer for my original bid. I couldn''t resist! I hope your halo comes today!

LTP---- Thanks!! Seeing yours in its setting made me want a setting of my own really bad!

I got this one made to fit a 5.25 mm stone. I''m going to hold out for an ACA though.

Kelli that stone will be gorgeous in that setting. You got a steal. I think it was meant to be!!

Lauren you are my LOGR setting queen. I hope I am thrilled with my setting when I get it this week!!

has anyone actually purchased a ring from LOGR already containing a gem? I have browsed them and some stones look REALLY nice while other ....not so much. So I was curious. I had my eye on this... 2.16ct Amethyst
