Ok, just to vent, it seems that in the past month I have had 5 people around me get engaged or get an e-ring? Is it February? What's going on?

September in London! I do have 2 friends who both got engaged this Valentine's Day, and one friend who got engaged the day after.
 
I proposed on Valentines' day.... I heard that e-ring prices are slightly inflated during that time.... but atleast i didn't have to buy a seperate valentines day gift, dinner, or activity. I killed two birds with one stone

Hey! You're missing October! Well, that's the month I was proposed to.
 
My 1st marriage:
I met my Ex-Wife in April of 1977.
I proposed in June of 1977.
I married in June of 1978.
Seperated in December of 2001.
Divorced in August of 2002.

My 2nd marriage:
I met my wife Jeri in June of 2002.
I proposed in December of 2002.
I married in September of 2003.

Jeri & I are happier than we have ever been in our entire lives.....This time is definetly a charm!

Hey, Win, good date. Mine was December 24th too, only the year was 1985, exactly 10 years later! We married in June of 1986 and are fast approaching our 18th anniversary!!!

. He gave me an emerald ring on Dec 24, 85, but we didn't get engaged for a couple more months. It was my first jewelery gift from him, and is super sentimental.

I bet these next 10 years are going to fly by!
 
I met my husband in January 1984, got engaged in August 1984 and married in August 1985. We are going on 19 years! Wow! I can't believe he has put up with me for so many years! I was a child bride of course!

Got it in March on HIS birthday at the top of Mount Tam. This saturday will a year since we got engaged and no wedding plans yet!!!!! arghhh.

LMAO! When people find out how long we have been married, they often ask how old I was when we got married. Of course I say "12." I was really almost 22, but I do look younger than my actual age. Last summer we went out to dinner with another couple (also in their 40s), and the waitress actually carded ME!!! She would have gotten a better tip if she had carded both ladies -- heehee!

*LOL* I was pregnant w/ my daughter, and my back hurt (about 7 months at the time) and decided to use the elevator in a store near us. One of the sales women started chasing me off the elevator as an unaccompanied *child* till she got a 2 foot away look at me!

It made my day!

I think a lot of post-boomers are less inclined to consider divorce since so many of us grew up in divorced households and already know firsthand what it's like.
