M2b and diamondseeker's 2017 adventure!

M2b and I had the pleasure of another get-together last week, and this time we spent most of our shopping time in Neiman Marcus! I'll be posting several sets of pictures from our visit! The lighting was not always great, but m2b, as always, takes great pictures! Her hands are so lovely that I need to learn how to use her camera so that she can do all the hand modeling next time. However, trying on all her jewels was such a pleasure!!!

Most of our time was spent in the Van Cleef and Arpels section! Unfortunately, there were some items we failed to take pictures of, but it was a lot of fun trying on pieces we liked.

First is m2b trying on the pave Sweet Alhambra 6 motif bracelet. I had actually bought the same bracelet in solid rose gold over a year ago and decided to switch to vintage size, and she agreed that she likes vintage size better! She is wearing her new Whiteflash 4.7 ct ACA in a Victor Canera Emilya setting in this picture.

Next are some vintage Alhambra earrings. I first thought I'd want the onyx earrings to wear with my yellow gold bracelet, but I realized the solid gold earrings show up so much better with dark hair! Pays to try things on! (Sorry these are so big! Thumbnails are too small.)

Next I tried on two MOP Alhambra pendants. The vintage size short pendant and the magic size long one. I found the vintage size kind of less significant than I expected, but I loved the magic size with the long chain that can be doubled to wear shorter. The sad thing is that it is double the cost, too!

Somehow we managed to be so enthralled with this bracelet that we did not take pics, but I am thinking someone I know may now have this incredible Perlee clover bracelet (in white gold) on her wishlist! Truly, it is the most gorgeous diamond bangle I have ever seen! (This is a pic from one of my Vegas trips.)

We took a couple of pics of our jewelry at the VCA part of NM, but the rest we took discretely at our end booth in the Cheesecake Factory!

Here's a shot of our rings and m2b's studs! My diamonds always shrink when I try on m2b's rings, but that is usually a good thing for me size I sometimes think mine are larger than I need!

Here are a couple of pictures with m2b's gorgeous Whiteflash diamond bracelet and my yellow gold VCA Vintage Alhambra bracelet. My disclaimer is that neither of us would wear these bracelets together in reality, because we are pretty committed to keeping our bracelets in excellent condition! So one on each arm would be our solution!

That is SO true, MGR! We are exceptionally fortunate here on PS to have learned the importance of well cut stones! I appreciate them all so much! I had on my ACA studs but I was afraid they'd look microscopic with the rest of that bling! lol! One sad thing was that I didn't think her diamond bracelet was too big for me at all. But I just don't have the opportunity to wear one enough to justify it!

My new favorite ring of DS's is now her CVB asscher ring! The cut of her asscher is exquisite and the fine craftsmanship of her CVB setting was amazing to see!

Oh, I am so glad you got a pic of the Perlee clover bracelet, m2b!! I agree that pictures never do justice to diamonds, and especially in the low lighting of the VCA area!

I am also happy that you like my new antique asscher ring! Now I just need to get the AVR into a more complimentary setting! Your diamonds both look outstanding in pave halos! They are like elegant frames to the diamonds!
