Malaya garnet pics

So I think I'm getting this in 14k RG.

I made what I thought was a low offer based on what I've heard about LOGR, I offered 15% lower and in my noted stipulated that the price included the resize. I was surprised to see it was accepted, but I wrote another note just in case to confirm that the price I offered is the final price, no additional sizing/labor charges (I've heard there's been confusion in the past).

So assuming there wasn't a miscommunication with the offer, I'm getting this for the malaya! It's actually cheaper than getting a silver lotus from sally.

That's a beautiful setting MTG. I think the Malaya would look awesome in there.

I would caution about RG for the malaya though. I had a malaya of a similar color in LOGR RG, and it disappeared in the setting. I ended up replacing the stone in that setting with a violet blue spinel.

Oh? Would you recommend white gold then?

I''m surprised since Mochi''s peachy tourmaline looked so nice in hers, and I''ve seen photos of other malaya garnets in rose gold which looked lovely..

I am more used to wearing white though...

I think I''ll stick with the RG after all if I go with the LOGR. I kind of like that it blends a little. And it''s not a halo, and the shank is pretty delicate compared to the 7.5mm stone, so I don''t think it''ll get too lost

The only time it looked nice in there was in the evening sun, but the problem is that his rose gold is so coppery, and Malayas can often become very coppery, and just disappear. I would recommend white or yellow gold instead.

You know MTG, having seen this stone in person, I think RG would be perfect, especially since it is more pink than peachy most of the time.

Here you go, here are my two malayas in rose gold settings. One of them is that very same setting you're getting. Both stones are also cut by Barry. You be the judge, you might like it if your malaya is anything like mine.

The stone looked nice in the halo until I set it.

I had it in a silver setting, didn''t like it much.

Well, setting is ordered, no confusions with the bid. So hopefully I"ll have this baby set and on my finger in 2 weeks or so!

The stone looks great, I would have suggested yellow gold (to bring out those flashes even more), but I think it'll look nice in rose too.

Of COURSE I will take a bajillion photos when I get it set. I should receive the setting in 2 weeks, and will hopefully be getting it set shortly there after.

You can get the setting too of course! LOGR has multiples of all their settings, I put in an offer of 162 and they didn''t counter so you can probably try to go lower and see what you can get away with

We''ll see how I like it when it''s set, it may not be a nice enough "forever" home given how much I just LOVE this garnet!
