CONGRATULATIONS!! I think you looked amazing - (gawd you''re cute! Lucky Hubbie!)

I''d love to see more of your gorgeous dress too!! Come back and post soon!

Thanks girls...i only have digital pics from my sister and my professional shots will be a few weeks (they are all 35mm) but i''ll post them when i can

Here''s some more info about how the weekend unfolded...

Friday night. I had a small Roman Catholic ceremony in the church where my parents got married (just down the street from my own home). It was NERVE WRACKING--don''t know why, but my heart was pounding and poor FI was as red as a tomato! I think it had something to do with being in a frenzy to get everything done before heading to the resort....it was go go go and then that Friday night, before taking a breather, we were at the church on the altar with our family in a circle around us...it was acutally happening! We were legally married that night, had a reception at a nearby hotel and then headed home.

The next day we packed a half-dozen vehicles with the boxes of things I needed to make my wedding very ''me''...a photo station, themed welcome baskets, candy station, hand made cocktail skewers with funny canadian quotes (wedding was on canada day) my homemade vanilla extract favours with recipes. I made it all myself and they turned out great!

The weather was super cool/a little rainy for July, but it held out for the outdoor ceremony. While walking down the ''aisle'' a massive fuzzy bumble bee flew up my dress in between the layers of organza and was near my butt. My FI''s mom and my mom swooped in on the situation as I joined FI at the ''altar''--since i am a bit of a nature lover i was totally calm, but the bee was HUGE and really stuck!!! It certainly cut the tension (that, and the wind that kept blowing up my sister''s dress!)

The resort where the wedding was held was gorgeous, the food was great, the band great, the speeches--short, sweet and too the point. My MC was terrific. She even sang "Oh-canada" but changed the words to describe our relationship. It really set the tone for a fun, relaxed evening!. The whole day unfolded in real time to me....it was not a blur, it was just fun and i was so calm, i could not have asked for (much) more!

On that topic....Only ''regrets''
--didn''t get all our pics done!! I realized yesterday i have none with my aunts and my FI grandparents!!!! No one noticed till i brought it up and I have this icky feeling about it...nothing i can do now, but it''s awful, i don''t even think we posed for a non-professional shot!!

--my hair...should have looked at it a bit closer before leaving (thanks to those of you who said it looks good) but the late evening shots are not pretty...oh well
--my face colour. My sister did an amazing job with my makeup...but i tanned in a booth a few times before the wedding and usually cover my face...not a good idea b/c a lot of the flash shots make my face look super light and the rest of me bronzed! I needed more colour for sure! Ladies, keep that in mind!
I know it''s vain sounding...but the pics are forever!

But i am one happy new Mrs. I feel so blessed that my family all got to enjoy the day--my dad''s vertigo was not a big bother to him that day and my grandparents were well enough to party till 1:00am!

Hi Jas12,

Thank you for sharing your pictures with us! Everything looks beautiful and I can see how happy you and your new husband are. In the first picture you showed, your sister looks a little like Carrie Underwood.

Sunshine: The BM dresses are Maggie London --My sister found them, I bought them ''off the rack'' at the Bay in canada (kinda like Macy''s in the US)
I guessed all the sizes and they all fit--score!

(and much cheaper than Jcrew!)

Beautiful pix!!! LOVE the dress (as a fellow Melissa Sweet bride

) and I think your hair is lovely, even if it wasn''t quite what you envisioned. Mostly love all the gorgeous happy smiles... so glad everything went well and you''re now officially a WIFE!!!

No Way! That is great! I''m Canadian so I''m very familiar with the bay...so thanks for the tip. It''s funny, because after being to so many weddings and IN so many weddings, I had always planned on doing something like that so the girls can wear them again. Generally, I have yet to find a BM dress that was designed as a BM dress that the girl could wear again!

The Bay eh? Hmm...that is so great! Thanks!

What lovely pics! Can''t wait to see more.
CONGRATS to the happy couple!

sunshine-- my sister works downtown T.O so she just spotted them one day. I bought every size immediately b/c they have a 90-day refund policy so i couldn''t go wrong. I was just lucky that they all fit and no one had to exchange.

I don''t know if they''ll ever wear them again, but i paid for them so they need not worry

You looked beautiful, jas! I also plan to purchase the dresses for my BM''s so that they can either love them, hate them, wear them again or toss them away. I''ve spent so much money on my own BM''s dresses over the years that I would hate to put that on my friends!

Congratulations...can''t wait to see more pictures!

Wow, you were glowing! Congrats
