Tried to find ones that show a close up, I believe mine are all the same melee on the halo, I will pull out the appraisal and double check for you.

And while I know you don't want to be a bother to Tiffany's as you're not buying from them, I'd still recommend asking them to find larger and bring it in. Even a 2 will help I think. If for some reason they can't, I would ask your jeweler if they have that satisfaction guarantee policy. Maybe express how concerned you are. (OR would he or she be able to make a wax model with cz melee?)

Here are my rings one a size 2.5 finger. The single halo is 2.61ct made by ERD. The double halo is 2.68ct Tiffany Soleste. Hope that help you. If it is the finger coverage that you are looking for with this reset, definitely go double.

Precious Jewel's picture shows to me a perfect example of a single halo engagement ring and a double halo right hand ring. The Soleste would be good for a right hand ring (cocktail ring) on her finger size but her e-ring is much better sized for her hand, DC has nicely sized melee stones and her double halo fits her finger really well. But there is such a thing as too much, in my (probably lonely) opinion. Tweeters rings are also a great example. Her single halo ring gives an appearance as large or larger than her 3.2 ct center stone. I think her halo is also perfectly sized. If you do make a double halo, the kind I like best has smaller melee next to the diamond and then the outer halo is slightly larger. I don't know sizes that well, but say a half mm inner halo and 1mm outer or something like that.

Oh, and don't expect a wax model with handforged. Generally wax models are only done for cast rings.

DS- I totally agree with everything you said, and in speaking with Caysie at CVB, she suggested just under half pointers, which I loved... She was able to send me an example, as I was worried about it becoming a metal mess, but the pave work was exquisite! Her team seems pretty talented. While I do want coverage, I don't want "bulk." The inspiration ring actually has a tad bit larger melee next to the diamond and smaller melee on the outer, to look like a string of diamonds...however, Caysie said she would draw it both ways inner and outter, larger and smaller to see what proportions are best. DC519, I am not an expert and am a bit out of my league on proportions, pave, and settings, but IMHO your double halo looks beautiful and if I were to get one (maybe someday) I would want mine to look like yours. I think the proportions are perfect. I apologize if I missed it, but would you mind sharing the dimensions of your center stone?
