Haha finally an overcast day:lol::lol:
Was finally able to take a nice photo of the Tahitians without a lightbox. Taken by the windowsill

Ok silly question. Is this how you wear a long rope strand “knotted”? It looks odd to me. When I try to google it I just get tutorial on how to knot pearls on a string haha. Maybe it just looks odd cause the strand is so odds and ends

I love your rope. You could experiment with tying it higher or lower, but I like where it sits now. How does it look just doubled over into two necklaces?

I never wear a strand with a knot for the same reason. It looks great on other people (I think it looks fine on you) and on me, it just looks or feels weird.

Thats the beauty of the Medley Strands - You can always rework them, adding and subtracting shapes and colours. You've done a great job !

And Shale it such a gorgeous model :)

Haha I can definitely see this getting reworked...

I may in fact bought more bracelets and some might find its way in there...

I might restring this into 2 strands of slightly different lengths that I can still combine into one long rope. I find myself something wishing for just a 18” medley

Wait! Did you purchase enough pearls like the bracelet to make two strands?! Ooooh, weak knees at the thought. I love the colors in the bracelet!!!

New cmw colorful strand isn’t in yet but I think that will be going into a bracelet.

So i restrung part of the rope as a 18” strand. More layering options!
When I have time I’ll do the other 22 inches left over so it’ll be a 40” rope when clipped together.

You have a great eye for pearl design, @MakingTheGrade! Love this iteration of your medley strand! And I also LOVE the flexibility of having a long strand or a couple shorter ones to choose from/double up.

I must learn how to do tin cup strands. This looks great together!

How do you learn tin cup? Is it difficult?

I really love this. It'll be so versatile to link multiple chains together for different looks, I love everything about it!

This is a great new mixed medley strand combination. Like the small green and big reddish pearls together at the front! A++ for this design.

Tin cup isn’t hard as long as you have a open link chain so you don’t need to do any soldering.

You just need wire to do the wrap or eye pins with the pearls. I’ll try to take some pics of the process tomorrow.

Thanks for the encouragement guys! I realized that while I liked the look of the rope with certain outfits, as a whole it’s quite heavy and swingy and not something I’d wear super often. I think a shorter version will get worn and layered much more often!
