Maddy is going to make a cairn necklace and ring with red spinels for me. I thought that would be neat. She has one of my merelani garnets and I''m asking her to set it in green gold for me.

Oooh that is really pretty and unique. I have yet to buy anything on Etsy. One of these days I''ll will though.
 
For those asking about the pendants. Prices for a 7mm White topaz is working out about $100. I''m in the middle of convos with Sally as I can''t decide exactly what I want! She is truly fab. I''m definitely ordering from her, I just can''t work out exactly what to get. I''ll post pics when I get the pendant thoughh

Agreed. I had asked her about that a few weeks ago. She said it can be done and she prefers that design with a 7mm - 8mm''ish stone, as it would be a nice size to showcase the scroll design. I have a stone I want to send to her to have set in this way, but I just have been too darn lazy.
 
Well, looks like one of us will have a pillbox pendant at some point.

I have three sterling stackers in white topaz, pink tourmaline and peridot. I''m not sure what color to get and have some gemstones that I would like to send to her. I''m lazy, too!

I''ve had my yellow beryl pillbox for a couple days and its so pretty -
I''ve done a proper photoshoot but not much time right now for PS to upload them all -

for now here is a teaser shot in Sally''s special packaging.
For those of you waiting/planning on getting something from her, imho the box is a real keepsake.
I think she said it is crafted partly from Japanese paper. Sally understands the point of presentation
when it comes to jewellery!

How much are you ladies willing to pay for silver pieces on etsy? I know this will be different for everyone, but I found a pair of earrings I love that cost $150 plus international shipping. That seems expensive to me. Has silver gone up a lot in price the past couple of years? I''d post the listing, but I''m still considering buying them.
 
I searched and found other earrings!! I probably sound cheap, but I just couldn''t face spending over $150 on silver earrings site unseen. I just paid for the others I found and can''t wait to get them in. I love etsy! I need to take so many photos.

Not much! $40 and shipping was free. Paypal automatically charged shipping, but the seller immediately refunded it when I let her know. If I like these then I''ll probably buy more from her, I love her designs.

The others I liked, the more expensive pair I didn''t buy are these. I really like her style, but the price!

I know the two designs aren''t that similar, but I wanted something long and organic looking. I hope the ones I bought was long enough!

you were right not to pay $155 for those earrings, that was a ridiculous price!
As reference for you, my above pillbox ring was $90 before shipping (only $10 for ship).

I won''t pay crazy prices on etsy, because to me bargains are what it is about.

I had a look at that shop you linked and all her prices are very high - she must have pretty good
tickets on herself, lol! I would say she was at least 20-30% more expensive on average than sellers
making similiar items..
 
arjunajane, I''m glad it''s not just me! I have the hardest time getting a good sense of what things cost. There is a little artisan jewellery store near me. I went to check out pieces yesterday and a pair of earrings I liked were £86 ($130) so I was thinking maybe I was just out of line. $40 for the pair I bought doesn''t seem too bad though! I hunted around and found cheaper on etsy, but none I liked as much.

Your ring is pretty...and for $100 shipped! That''s good! The pill box rings are too cute and such a great way for a bit of brightness and colour without breaking the bank.

I think that I am going to have to save up and look into getting a pillbox ring. I just love the intricate design of them. Do you recommend getting your own stone and sending it to her or just getting it done with a stone that she has?

It depends on what you would like to have in the ring....so far, I''ve asked Sally to choose the stones for me....I have the white topaz, pink tourmaline and peridot pillbox stacking rings....they are all amazing!

I believe Sally has access to some very fine stones so if you told her waht you want I am sure she would find it for you!

Got my 2 rings from Sally and they are utterly amazing. The attention to detail is phenomenal and her exquisite packaging is an added bonus.
No pics yet as we are in the midst of a typhoon seriously. The worse weather we have had in 20 years so no outdoor photos yet and i need sunlight to make garnet look amazing!
