Morenci turquoise ring

I came back to look at this again @stracci2000 because wow, I am still in awe. I also had a question. Did you make that leaf and those little balls? Or did you get them independently and add them on??

Yes, I made the leaf and little balls.
I cut the leaf shape from sterling sheet, which is seen at the top of the first photo. And then I stamped ribs on it with a straight slot screwdriver and a hammer. Then I formed it into a wavy leaf with pliers.
The BBs are made from scrap pieces.
If you hold the torch on them for a few seconds, the metal beads up like magic!
Here is a video of someone making the balls or BBs

I added oxidation to this ring. I think it makes the detail pop a lot more.
I applied the product with a toothpick. It immediately turns the silver black. Then I re-polished it.
Pics below showing before and after.

Yasss! The more, the better!! It's perfection.

I think it needed a little tweaking!

lol I MUST have oxidation in my sterling jewelry. This is why we love Native designs so much, right? They even blacken their gold! I bought a little bottle of Midas Black Max because sometimes I need MORE. :P2 And "liver of sulfur" smells as putrescent as it sounds!

I like this product 'cause it doesn't stink.
It does smell toxic, though.
I should've done it sooner! I'm never really "done" with the jewelry I make. Sometimes when I'm bored, I pull out really old pieces and make them better. Change out the stone, add more details, whatever.

That's because you are a true arteeeest!

This beautiful jewel looks even better than the day it was born. I didn't know you could buy oxidation in a bottle!

I'm glad you think it looks better!
Yes, that oxidizer is magical stuff!
