This will be a stand alone band. Worn 90% of the time as my wedding band. I will wear my casablanca and two dainty tiffany bands when I go out and for special occasions. The 5 stone would not work with my casa, it's just too big.
 
FWIW, I love the style of this band... esp the way the prongs pinch in to give that yummy scalloped shape. I'm happy Yekutiel is going to take care of you... I think this band is soooo much prettier than the trellis. Now you've got me thinking... HA! ;-)

Hi soxfan! Yes, I received it yesterday and the diamonds are absolutely stunning and super sparkly. The ring also fits well. The only complaint I had was that one of the stone is set crookedly. I talked to Shulamit and sent her a photo of it and she immediately asked to have it sent back to be fixed. I will be sending it back today. I'm a little bummed that I won't have the ring for our 10th wedding anniversary (this Friday) but I just want to get it fixed as soon as possible since it will bug me.
 
@soxfan So glad you’re situation appears on-track toward resolution & in the right hands, and wishing you the best outcome! Do keep us posted. :wavey:

I’m glad that this is in Yekutiel’s hands. I have always great success in working with him. Yekutiel is honest and cares about his customers. I am 100% positive that your ring will be as fabulous as you had hoped in the first place. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
 
I think they were on vacation for a week or something?
 
I just emailed. Hopefully I will hear something soon. I want to double check and make sure size is right and maybe get a glamour shot before shipping:)

I got a couple of pics, they aren't too close up. I got a video too but I can't really tell up close. Yekutiel said it was beautiful and passed his quality test, so I guess that's good.....

@soxfan - congrats on the new ring! It’s beautiful, glad IDJ was able to execute the piece to your expectations. I’ve commissioned IDJ for a stunning pair of custom earrings and (2) other projects - can’t wait.

I know what you mean re. the response being the most concerning part - I would have a lot more confidence at this point had your rep seen and acknowledged the issue. I do think that if you wind up moving forward with IDJ you should work with another associate.

Resizing is unacceptable. You ordered a brand new setting in your size, and you were not informed that another piece would be sized to suit you - sizing is an alteration with real world potential to weaken the structure, something to avoid if at all possible, and you should not be penalized for vendor error. I do think they will offer to replace the setting.

I’ll be honest... I agree with @diamondseeker2006 - I think IDJ has a reputation for excellent value for money, but they aren’t known for settings prowess - and if you value excellence in setting workmanship then your calculation of “value for money” might not match that of their target audience. I don’t mean that in a bad way... I’ve paid exhorbitant prices for loupe-perfect workmanship that is obviously not visibly-appreciable, and I’ve take the opposite route and willingly sacrificed attention to setting detail for monetary savings - just depends on the project! Thing is, of course... usually... more expensive projects bring out the perfectionists in all of us, and this project wasn’t “cheap” by any means. And you are picky about settings details, loupe or no loupe :bigsmile: - remember how the Casablanca got everything right, how the OMC halo tilt came to look not-quite-right... ::)

Don’t go with a trellis. It really is the antithesis of what you have right now, and if you like what you have right now I just don’t see how the trellis will make you happy! It’s a much fussier and higher-maintenance style. If you do prefer a more open setting maybe a U-prong would be a happy medium?
