PR, I''m still waiting to see your ''Peacy Precious'' in it''s new home (ring).
Wow, someone knew that was a hypercube. I have a degree in math, and I love to read up on theoretical physics (higher dimension stuff).Date: 2/6/2009 9:48:36 PM

Hey, TL. I like your hypercube avatar! Very cool. Are you a mathematician?
ETA I meant to say that I love the garnet too!

Hahaa....okay, I fess up. I did get my ring on Monday, but I wasn''t happy with how it turned out in rose gold. The benchman didn''t create the head that I requested. So I went back and had the stone set into my original e-ring setting instead. It''s not quite the ideal situation, but it will do for now. You are right, a white metal shank does bring a nice contrast to the stone. I will eventually have the head redone in rose gold. I may have to send it to WF for a future project. For right now, it''s set and I''m able to wear it.
I took some pics this week. I have to warn you, it''s not perfect, but at least you will be able to see it in a ring. I''ll try to take more pics tonight.

Or you could say it''s a 2D representation of a 3D shadow of a 4D tesseract rotating in hyperspace. I''m a science geek.
PR, you''re way too kind, and I appreciate the kind words. There are many people on PS that I look up to for advice and knowledge about colored gems, so you give me way too much credit, but I appreciate the sweet words.Date: 2/14/2009 12:52:53 PM

Thank you, TL! You are one of the most knowledgable and sensible people on PS, so I value your opinion greatly. And thank you for the kind words about the settings, I do feel a little better. Maybe I was just being too anal. But my obsessive need for perfection won''t let me be happy.
Okay, since you mentioned it, I had to share this with you. I thought this pic was so cool!
I took this pic a few nights ago with the incandescent lamp a few inches above it. It''s kind of glowing pink.
By the way, you still owe me more pics of your Malaya. Fork em over, woman!
No, not really, except for ovals from Barry!!Date: 2/14/2009 12:52:21 PM

TL, now that you have a oval by Barry, have you changed your mind about oval gem stones?
