is it just cuz i am staring at it too much or does it seem like the pic on the tacori website makes the round look more like a cushion and the pic the tacori concierge sent me looks like A TOTAL ROUND. hmmm I liked how the diamond was round but the setting made it looks softer like a cushion.. maybe i have been staring at it too much... i think i just need to hurry and have this thing on my hand... and the pics dont look sparkly at all... waht if my ring comes and its not sparkly at all... am i just stressin?

bad news is that i havent found my perfect diamond yet so I am still serarching for that! i didnt want to wait any longer to order my setting so they are putting a cz in there for now while i find my diamond... i will so incomplete.... i hope the mods or other PSers dont yell at me for having a cz in it for now... EVERYTHING else on there is real!

Well it sucks too cuz they said it will be done on the 11th of january (monday) and overnight it to my jeweler, so they will prob call me on the 12th or 13th! BUT! i cant go there until saturday! cuz my husband wants to go with me... damn him! haha jk! maybe i can ask him to get off work early... make him go in early and get off early! hehe he already says in spoiled i wonder what he will say if i ask... hmmmm
anyway!! what are you doing to pass the time?

OMG! Yes, I''m dying! Yeah, I''m really excited for the proposal - almost as excited as waiting to see my ring.. haha. Yes, I did see the ring in person. Our jeweler ordered in all the samples that I wanted to see so I looked at 8-9 settings that were of interest. This one was the one that I LOVED without seeing it and couldn''t stop thinking about it after I had it on my finger. I''m sure you will be exstaticly pleased when you finally see yours! You are SOOO Brave, I would be so worried about it I would make myself sick about what I spent so much cash on! Yeah, pretty sure that we are both probably spoiled considering the beauties that our men have gotten for us... I guess I''m okay with him tellin me I''m spoiled (ya, I''m told often too) as long as he keep buying beautiful diamonds! (he was staring at the loose center before I sent it off to get set and was like... I can''t believe I paid thousands of dollars for this dug up rock...) I have my eyes on a set of martini set studs next! (I''m terrible... )
I would go ahead and ask your husband to take off early... come on, it''s not like he doesn''t know that you are WAITING!!! I know I will be like... honey... the ring is done.... don''t you wanna go and get it.... umm umm NOW. Actually I was sooo scared when I first was looking at the tacori website and I wanted to see their samples. Our tacori dealer is 1 and half hours away and we actually went there to look at what they had in store. I told my husband, I AM NOT BUYING A RING TODAY. haha anyway, I had a couple of rings in mind from the website but was still lik ehhh... wanna see more... so i guess i hadnt found the one yet.
we had been sitting there for like an hour and half tring on what they had in stock when he brought out a PICTURE of the ring i ordered and I just dropped everything and I said THATS MY RING. and that was it. I had no feelings like I had before about the other rings. THinking its pretty but I want to see more... I was just omg... it was perfect in everyway! so i KNOW that i made the right decision cuz if i had seen the pic and was like its beautiful but would like look more i wouldnt have just ordered it right then and there. my poor husband was there for 3 hours with me hahaha
i like my jewelers... both the managers were there with me with 3 hours ignoring everyone else even tho it was black friday weekend. Might be that ahem my husband and i spent over $9000 cash... jewelers are used car salesman! hahaha omg... my ring is going to be $20,000 when im done.... my husband is gonna kill me! hahaha

Ohh LALA.... My BF would be like.. dream on if I picked out a $20,000 ring.. Although I would love to be in your shoes with that rock on my finger (yup, definately jealous) I am VERY happy he was willing to spend the $13,000 on the e-ring (I dont know if we will get the wedding band because it will cover part of the under detail. It is scrolled on the innerside but sits to high against the setting of the center stone so I would have to wear it on my right and thats where my mother ring - {customized e-ring setting with daughters AA aquamarine birthstone} is worn)
My BF is still a little salty at me cuz he bought me a $3,800 tag heuer diamond bezel watch that matched his and it gave me my carpal tunnel problem back that I had when I was pregnant and in massage school so I had to return it. (ever since then he''s kinda like.. "I bought you something nice and you returned it..") My thought process was like.. what am I supposed to do, leave a expensive beautiful watch in my jewelery box cuz I cant wear it..... OR get something that I can wear..? I LOVED the watch, It was SOO pretty! I just couldn''t justify leaving that kinda cash sit useless.

ETA: It was $9000 for the ering and the wb. so it was NOT a $9000 e ring by itself with no center stone. that would be crazy! $9000 for the set and then the 1.5 diamonds i was looking at were like $11000 or so? I know it sounds crazy, me reading it right now sounds crazy... but it may sound snobby but i do deserve it. I didnt have a wedding or a honeymoon which i agreed with my husband not to do, so i dont think $20,000 on a ring for me is too bad... right?

Isn''t it crazy how the center stone adds up so quick - I mean look at ALL THOSE DIAMONDS in your setting..!!! & then you compare it to that little rock (in comparison to the entire ring in size - your center stone is not little by ANY means so don''t take that wrong!!)
I was looking at the Kessler 81 princess (originally they only had the round so the princess is really new and therefore even more pricey than I can swallow) It''s AMAZING how much more a 81 facet diamond sparkles in comparison to the standard 57!!!!! WOW - it looks like it''s plugged into the wall!!

My old engagement ring was a princess cut solitaire with pave band from blue nile. Thats part of the reason why I wanted a round this time because I used to LOVE princess cuts but as the man changes so does the cut. haha in case you are confused, i was engaged before and never went thru with it which i may sound mean but im so glad i didnt. I would be so unhappy with him right now. He never made me laugh and I was so bored with him. With my husband, I can be doing NOTHING with him and im not bored. But with my ex fiance... see! this is why i havent gotten it yet! before PS i just thought there was just one type of round diamond and all you could do is get the best cut best clarity and there was only GIA standards but noooo now I know of AGS0 and H&A and solasfera and eightnerity and star 129 and now the KESSLER! I''m never going to find a center stone.... haha

I LOVE this forum, but I don''t think I would have ever gotten a stone if I let my decision be influenced on really trying to get the biggest, bestest, most wonderful cut stone if I would have really known all that I probably should have before purchasing.
Even now, like a week and a half after buying my stone (which I''m completely happy with) I''m like.... Ohh lala at the 1.5-2 ct stones and wondering if I should have waited or sacraficed the colorless or ideal cut or perfect dimension that I got on mine to have bigger.. Is bigger better?
