Wow, very pretty!! So what are you planning on setting it in? It looks cut very similar to my lavender spinel. I got an LOGR for that one. Looks very pretty in that setting.

Congrats on a such a nicely colored spinel with an unusual and pretty cut! I had a difficult time interpreting the color in the vendor pics but your pics give me a good idea of how vibrant the stone is, I look forward to seeing how you set it

I agree that a halo may not be the best combination for this stone so I am forgetting that idea!

TL- I haven't decided on the setting yet. I can't pick between the lotus from Sally or the LOGR one...

Help!

What do you guys think? Lotus or LOGR (the same one TL has her lavender spinel in) WG? maybe RG?

A very pink stone with good saturation. With an unusual shape, I’d try to play it up with the right setting. Since it is extremely pink, I would not use rose gold. Do you have any white or yellow metal to place next to it to see the effect? I'm wondering if yellow might be nicer for the colour shift.

Thanks for the input Chrono! I didn''t think of using yellow gold...I only own one piece in yg which I need to pick up from the jewelers actually (yikes totally forgot it was there!) Thanks for the reminder haha!

I don''t have semi mounts lying around so I will take some pictures of it next to one of my wg rings. The weather is pretty crappy though today but I''ll try!

I''m most inclined to the Lotus setting right now...I just love how delicate it looks...and since the stone is very pretty mix of peach and pink in some lighting it just sounds like it belongs in a flower setting??
