She is gorgeous, and I didn''t know you got her from a shelter, that is really great! I''m also really happy that you have had some more success with the crate the last couple days! Amber is right, after the first few hard weeks it gets so much better. She is still just an infant now, at about 12 weeks it will become better and then things just keep going up up up!

Every time I see a little dachsie I want another puppy, but I think 2 puppies and a baby coming is enough for now

OMG she is adorable. I would adopt her brothers and sisters in a heartbeat - that is so sad. Who in their right mind could EVER dump any animal on the side of the road, especially such cute, innocent puppies????
