My hubby doesn''t have any jammies on!

I need help here, please. Hubby has never worn jammies, for a couple reasons. But apparently he is getting old, and colder, as he put a t-shirt on the other night because our room is so cold. Can we say ice box? Anywho, I want to buy him some for xmas, however, it''s not going to be as easy as going and picking a pair out.

Here''s why. He doesn''t like regular jammies because they (legs especially) twist and hike up. They also need to be lightweight. He has long underwear, but didn''t put those on because he said they would be too hot. So, does anyone have any idea where I can find jammies that are lightweight/breathable, but styled like long underwear? At a somewhat reasonable price....

Any help much appreciated!

Hmm...I once had a pair of pj pants that was very thin, like t-shirt material, but was rather tight-fitting and had elastic at the ankles which kept them from sliding around and getting twisted. Would something like that be what you''re looking for? I can see if I can find them again if they sound good...

I think you should look at what I call climbing tights....

They hug the skin, flex with movement, are lightweight, and warm (and used to come in the wildest colors and patterns - they seem more muted now).

I can''t think of any mens'' p.j.s that wouldn''t ride up in the legs. What about sweatpants with elastic around the ankles? They don''t look like baby clothes!

Miranda, lol! Yes, we''ve had flannel sheets in the past, and me and my jammies have had a time or two trying to turn over! Hubby says I turn over a lot in my sleep. Gives "twisted" a whole new meaning.

He found one that can''t catch on fire and does not emit any bad vapors, but it''s also 350 bucks (not at the top of the priority list, jammies are cheaper!). And we''ve got pretty many blankies on now....

Also, I don''t want an electric blanket, personal preference.

I second the Winter Silks. I''ve worn them in the winter for years. They come in different weights. I often wear the light-weights as pajamas, or the heavyweights if it is extremely cold. The heavy weights are a lot less bulky than cotton long underwear. If he decides he doesn''t like them as jammies, they work great as an extra layer under clothes. Not as bulky as regular long underwear.

I know what you mean about getting older. I had to break out the electric mattress pad to preheat my bed this winter. I just can''t fall asleep with cold feet.
