My Paper Diamond/setting

Me too, I haven't done wearable ones but I sketch them and then bombard the poor person making whatever will half a dozen badly drawn sketches. :saint: I LOVE the hand full of paper jewellery!!!!

OMG! I love the response! I've been traveling all day and it was nice to see everyone's responses!

Laurenk- I have never heard of this site- but it sounds amazing! Totally going to s check it out!

I have done this at work many times, I now feel less alone
:appl:

Um yea. I've made a few cut outs before too. I had to pull all these little pieces of paper under my table when a coworker caught me playing with them after office hours one night. My face was flush red. I'm sure he wondered what the heck was going on. Haha.

I do have some "papery to jewelry" pics!!!
My oldest daughter who LOVES jewelry and happens to be very skilled in the art of faux jewelry (wonder where she gets that from  ) made me the sweetest birthday cards for the past 3 years. Each year showcased things on my wish list.. some that have since come true! :D She took it up a notch by adding crystals.. nice touch!

Aww rubies that is SO precious!!! How sweet of your little one!!

I have totally done paper diamonds when I was trying to figure out my sweet spot for size coverage when looking for stones!! I think I may have deleted the pictures but I'll have to see if I can dig them up somewhere :rodent:

Wow- Pandabee....that is so amazing.

Said "Pandabee," but I think I meant Rubies! So adorable!

Paper version:

Please ignore my hideous, and unkempt manicure in this pic, I was trying to just wait out for the gel to grow out so my nails wouldn't be so brittle after removal. (Thinking about it, I should have just edited out my nails, but that would make the pic kinda creepy.)

Awww.. thanks pandabee, TruLuv858 and Calliecake! :wavey:
I will pass along your sweet compliments to my jewelry (and best of all.. ) mother loving daughter. :D :D :D :D

I love this thread. What a great idea! Will truly help me find my sweet spot when I buy another diamond and setting.

My first attempt at a paper version of a possible future right hand cocktail ring (inspiration ring pictured below) with sparkly little center stone  with black melee diamonds set in platinum (not set in the metal pictured below)

Have you ever gone to diamdb.com? You can put in actual dimensions on your stones (or what the halo dimensions would be) and it shows you on a hand how big it looks. You change skin colour, finger length, ring size, shank width etc..... so if I put my current princess halo dimensions and what my new princess halo dimensions are I get a feel for how it will change etc..... It wlnt add the halo but keep it as a solitaire however you still see what it looks like!!!

I love this site!! It's pretty dang accurate too!! :))
