Thank you, Catmom! I have to tell you that your incredible jewelry suites were my inspiration.

I was getting mostly a ring here, earrings there, and while I could wear different pieces together, nothing really matched all that well. I decided to work on getting a suite together. I''ve talked with Rick about stones for a bracelet, and I''m hoping to be able to go forward with that project later this year.

I can''t wait to see when you get the bracelet. Your garnets are such a beautiful color and I''m sure the bracelet will be gorgeous just like the rest of the suite.

Thank you, diamondseeker! I recently picked up some small colored studs in blue topaz and peridot to wear with the earring drops when I''m looking for some different color combos. Should be fun!

Thank you icekid, bling addict, Honey228, and mariedtiger! Rick was nice and let me pick out the 4 mm rounds for the ring myself. I found myself going for the ones with nice flash, matching cuts and color. It was a bit of a challenge, (I am for sure not a gem expert) but I'm please with the result. These garnets set up great.

BTW, feel free to copy the idea, anyone. Five stone rings have a lot more presence on the hand than the price would suggest.

(Each 4 mm garnet was less than $25, and there are lots of similar stock settings available.) I love it!!!

I also thought the settings were in Rose Gold too. They have a nice pink tinge to them. Gorgeous collection, Fly Girl!!

Thanks, Dogmom. I have always disliked my birthstone color (light blue) and my astrological sign. My horoscope isn''t me at all, so I tend to ignore that sort of symbolism. Now, if I had been born in July, I''m sure I would have the opposite opinion.

Garnet is hubby''s birthstone, so that works for me. And, rhodolites and tsavorites are amazing, aren''t they? Hope you get some gorgeous garnets of your own to enjoy!

Thanks, glitterata! The little bird sometimes sits on my shoulder and gets all lovey. Normally he ignores my jewelry, but he really started chirping and pecking at the jacket, which made it swing. So I grabbed the camera and got a shot of him in the bathroom mirror. He actually belongs to my daughter, but she is off at college, so we get to enjoy the little guy even more.

You know, I recently had an LOGR ring setting made in rose gold and had a dark red Rhodolite set into it. Every time I look down at my hand I get this incredible sense of deja vu along with "what a cheap little ring". All I can figure is when I was little I had quite a collection of cheap adjustable rings (the kind where the band had overlapping pieces of soft metal, and you could change the size by squeezing them together). I must have had a copper colored one with a dark red center stone (probably glass). It''s downright eerie.

Now, I do have a rose gold ring that is lovely and doesn''t give me flashbacks to my childhood. But, when I first discussed this project with my jeweler, we agreed that the yellow gold is really quite attractive with these stones.

I was originally looking for a set of amethyst pears to make into the earring drops for my diamond studs, but frankly, I love this garnet material more. I prefer the reddish color to the purple, and those red and blue flashes are nifty. Putting together a jewelry set was fun, too.

Thank you, innerkitten. It''s 14k yellow gold for the chain, pendant, earrings, and ring hoop. The metal around the 5-stones is 14k white gold. I''m not sure why the metal sometimes looks a bit pinkish. The lighting in most of the shots was a combination of natural sunlight and incandescent.
