I know people who own one car & pay $4500 just for that

. We live in NJ though - darn all those drivers being on the road! There are only 2 of us at my house, and we both have 2003 VW''s, and our combined insurance cost is about $3,000.

DF just sell that old 3 carat ring that is collecting dust - she''d have a nice down payment for her car!

speaking of that 3 ct....just thought of something funny.if i had to replace that 3.34 ct today,it might cost more than all of our 3 cars combine value.

as the price of diamond going up,car value going down.

2001 Toyota Tucoma 4 door truck....value about $15k
1995 BMW 540 i ........value about $10k
2001 Honda Civic.........value about $8k

I had heard NJ was pricey. I''m in Northern Virginia. I actually just got off the phone with my insurance agent and I''m down to $3,500 for 3 cars - 02 911, 03 Lexus ES, and 04 Corolla.

I got rid of an 04 Sienna. Now I need to exchange the ES for an SUV.
