Go on then!!!!

The first two are the same gemstone.

Numbers 3 and 4 are also the same (so there''s an answer for free!)

Same species? or variety?

if variety, then 3 and 4 are both morganite, correct?

Yes to 3 and 4 but sorry, no to 1 and 2.

Shall I put everybody out of their misery?

I think 1 and 2 are both varieties of Beryl.

No! Not Beryl.

1 and 2 are actually unheated Tanzanite. The first is a pink Tanzanite and the second green. Well done to everybody for their guesses - this was a bit sneaky wasn''t it?

Good one LovingDiamonds. Zoisite never even crossed my mind!!!

yes--good one on the zoisite! Good game!

Nice one - I did think about it for the green stone, but all the green tanzanites I''ve seen were more tsavorite in colour. Beautiful stone by the way!

Do you buy your stones in the UK or online/abroad?

From everywhere Pandora. I''m not fussy!!!

Thought you might like to see the rough that the Tanzanites were cut from:

Here''s the green rough:

ETA - didn't see how far this went! These are for Zeolite's 4!

1. Garnet...Madagascar?
2. Amethyst or Rubelite
3. Fire Opal
4. Morganite

Wild guesses! Although I am pretty sure about 1/2 of them...probably way off the mark though!

p'raps leave to the experts!

Thank you pwendyp; answers are above. Normally I''d start a new "name that stone" in a new thread, but I have a reason to place it here. What are these 3 gems below?
