MZ - At the time I left the ruckus, neither Sea of Cortez strand had sold. Contact Douglas if you are interested. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering how rare those pearls are.

Thank you for the additions to the Neck Shots from the Ruckus thread, NacreLover. You take gorgeous photos that really show the pearl colors.

I'm back to my regular editing software tonight, so I'll try to put up some improved photos in the next few days.

I loved Pattye's Kamokas. Thanks for another photo. I'm pretty sure the keshi strand and the carved pearl are both Kamokas. Also, her bracelets. Without a doubt, she is another tremendous Kamoka pearl fan, and it was such a treat to see them worn. :))

Beautiful photos- thanks so much for sharing. Such gorgeous pearls and lovely models of course! :appl:

Those mabes are incredible. I wonder if first borns are a payment option and if he will do a nine month lay-away.

I am also a huge fan of the ripples. I like texture in my pearls.

Lady_Disdain -- you are hilarious!!!

A better look at those naturals. I love, love, love these three white strands on Caitlin. I took the outdoor photo, then later asked to take it again inside with the more even lighting. I think she was pleased to oblige. As you can tell from my comments above, I didn't understand what they were. Thank you 4Ranch Girl for explaining. But, I sure could tell that they were awesome. :appl:

A closer photo of Kay's stunner and NacreLover's metallics.

When I first saw 4Ranch Girl's blue body strand indoors I could not tell them apart from the second strand. After she moved outside into the natural diffused lighting that we had most of the day next to the ocean, I could finally see the blue pearl bodies. Wow! :cheeky:

Flygirl. That is my 8 way roller strand of freshwaters I was talking about on the blog. My dream as I was riding my mower in the yard. There has been some discussion if it was bead nucleated and a pre Edison strand so I cornered Jeremy and asked for some clarification. He said no there was no bead in them. They are basically 11mm fresadama.

Thanks, NL. Stunner of a strand. Like so many were last weekend.

I'm looking back through this thread again, and love your shot of the Sea of Cortez mabes with the rainbow on that front mabe clearly visible. It really was that apparent in real life. For those of you who missed this event, when the Sea of Cortez strands were laying under the light box at the mansion that evening there were a lot of people sitting around just staring that it. I finally had to tear myself away and collapsed on the nearby daybed. What a treat for the eyes.

The mabe strand is made from Douglas's highest grade mabe and were collected in matched pairs which is very obvious when viewed in this photo. It took years and my harvests to create.

Fly Girl -- Terrific thread! I wish I'd had my wits about me to take more pictures. Here are two neck shots of me trying on Douglas' mabe necklace. It was late at night and the colors just don't show, but it's better than nothing. The necklace has a lovely drape:

Douglas's design is brilliant. It's a "big" dramatic look but still casual enough for a weekend at the beach. Still, all those SoC's...must cost a fortune.
