And one last shot.

CONFESSION: Very reasonably priced. And I think it would be a great way for anyone who''s wanting to scratch the Asscher itch to try out the cut in a genuine Gemstone with a real diamond halo .. for a drop dead crazy talk kind of price.

Also avail in Blue Topaz, Citrine, Amethyst & Garnet at .... Q V frickin C!!!!!

There is some windowing in the stone .. at least in the Green Quartz that I chose (the lightest color). But for the price I think it's a great "fun" ring ... and it's the color of DH's eyes

and I've always liked the halo-on-Asscher look. So ... Yea!!!

ETA: I told DH if he was SPENCER it would be my ENGAGEMENT RING!

Ha! My *Mom* would certainly agree! I''ve been the on the arrival end of many of HER QVC purchases ... seed packets, crab cakes, Bare Essentuals etc ... but neither DH or I have ever ordered before. I had no idea what to expect really ...

How do you like your new Sparklies, Gem Lover??

Happy anniversary and enjoy your pretty ring!

You know what? I think that is an AWESOME idea! I had originally wanted an Asscher for an ering but went with a PoH instead since the Asscher faces up small, I would need a higher clarity, and I think I would miss some brilliant sparkle. I figured, well, some day I will get an Asscher pendant or something... but an Asscher cut blue topaz (or aquamarine?) would be reallllllllllly nice! Wonderful idea that I'm going to look into and hopefully get an Asscher quicker that way! Your ring is beautiful!

ETA: OH! Just saw it's QVC lol... I want it! And something else... if I had seen this before obsessing on the decision to get an Asscher ering or not, I could have gotten in and made a decision so much quicker and easier.

I *really* debated about spilling our QVCeeeecret ... but it just didn''t seem FAIR to keep it to myself.

Asscher Cuts are never going to be right for most people''s e-ring needs ... or studs ... or most diamond jewelry. But there''s something so hypnotic & interesting about them ... Asscher GEMSTONES seem like a great option! (Hard to find ... but GREAT when you CAN find them!)

oooooh what a pretty pretty pretty color!!! I love it!

HI:

What a lovely anni. gift. Enjoy!!!

cheers--Sharon

That''s very pretty, Deco! I completely agree that a colored gemstone asscher is a great idea! I definitely want one!

Very pretty ring!!!! Love the color of the stone... looks like the "green amethyst" I have drooled over recently...
Happy early anniversary!

Great bargain, Deco. I too highly recommend to anyone who''s thinking about asscher cuts to try them out in a gemstone first before plunking down major moolah on the diamond version. Heck, anyone who loves asschers should get them anyway. It looks delish!

Gorgeous!! I love it!

I love it Deco. I order quite a few things from QVC, always been happy.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU AND YOUR HUBBY.

Linda

Thanks P-scope Pals! You guys *totally* have to confess & post yr. own pix if you INDULGE too!

ETA: And thanks also for NOT calling me out on my desperate need for a) a tan b) hand cream c) a manicure.

Deco,
My hands look a whole lot worse than yours. My nails are au natural and I always forget the hand cream. I think your hands look great. I don''t see any lines and no chipped uneven nails - it looks great. Honest.

Wow, Deco, that is gor-ge-ous!! (I guess I can now come out of the closet about my QVC habit

I wash my hands a ton & *hate* the way hand cream feels coming OFF. Slimy! Somewhere on here (Drugstore Finds thread??) there was a recommendation for a hand cream that actually ABSORBS & isn''t all gross. I always meant to try it but didn''t remember til I saw those UBER-Close pix.

Off to investigate ...

Hi Deco, I forgot to wish you a happy anniversary! And yes, I''m loving my new sparklies. My coworkers noticed it right away and I got quite a few compliments on the citrine ring. Haven''t worn the quartz out yet but love it too.

Jess

Oooh, pretty! What a great find! It looks ginormous, too! Happy Anniversary!

So...guess where I just ordered a rose gold bracelet from last week? Yep-the big Q to the V to the C!

My fiance was shaking his head when he saw the package. I totally got sucked in, too-the internet order wouldn''t go through so when I ordered it over the phone the customer service rep said it was the last one! And I was like "They must be telling the truth when you see stuff get sold out on TV, then! I better buy whatever I like right away always!"

And then I had to shake off the panicky feeling and remind myself I''m not a crazy lonely little old lady who spends all of my pension on QVC!

You know... I had my eye on that ring. How lovely it looks on your hand. Hey... there's nothing wrong with QVC... they have some good deals on there man! Happy Anniversary Deco!!! I'm wondering whether or not to get one. I wanted the garnet... but don't want one that's too purple-y. Unless I really do manage to fit into the dress I have from when FI and I met (diet hasn't been happening with everything else) for the wedding in NYE. In which case... this would be the perfect accessory. BTW... I had noticed that they seem to have matching earrings.

I know the feeling!! Am QUITE convinced that my Mom''s new fave word ("AWEsome") comes from one of the hosts on QVC. She uses it in EVERY sentence now ...

And, ahem .... ROSE GOLD BRACELET???? Pix????

It''s funny it was on your radar too ... I think they''ve been peeking in on Pscope & were inspired by your MAIN project!! I was almost afraid to want it -- for fear of being a low-rent copy cat!!

Re: the garnet ... I checked out the reviews on their site & in their (get this) forum ... and people seemed pretty pleased with the color - though it doesn''t show off the cut quite as clearly. Bet it has less windowing though!

It''s beautiful Deco!

I actually ordered an asscher cut ring from QVC about a year and a half ago to see if I liked it...and while I thought it was beautiful, it wasn''t me and I ended up returning it. I think it''s a great way to try things out! I''m also waiting for a knife I ordered from them...

I will, I will! I actually had to take it to my local jeweler to get it shortened because it''s waaaay too long. So I should have it Monday and I will post away! I still need to try to take decent pics of my WF bezel earrings so I think I''ll have one big photo shoot and put up a thread in SMTR.

P.S. I love that your mom is picking up the hip lingo from QVC-hilarious! That''s me when I''m older for sure!
