How are you getting on with the 40 size, do you find it huge compared to a 28 or 32?

Sorry for the late reply - I wasn''t around yesterday.
I don''t have any 28''s. The 40 has much more room than the 32, and it''s much heavier. I wish they had made the shoulder strap longer. It does seem a lot bigger than the 32 - more like a briefcase than a purse. It takes a little getting used to, but I''m really enjoying it. Here''s my newest: a 30 black box Birkin, gold hardware.

I can imagine it does take some getting used to but the 40 is a great look, I can''t imagine a Sellier in 40, it would be like a battering ram!

Hello again Lorelei! I love the 30 - it suits my height very well and it has room for everything I always put into a bag. I try not to overload purses - don''t want them sagging.

I am very careful with my Kellys not to overload them, I know they are very tough bags and built to last but I am still very careful with them, especially box leather. I don''t tend to need very much when I go out anyway so it isn''t a problem!

How are you with the inevitable scratches with box leather? Does it worry you or do you just feel it is part of the process of owning box? One of my Kellys is over 40 years old and the box is beautiful, the patina is incredible.

Lorelei, I haven't scratched either of the box bags yet. I once dropped the Constance on the floor, and it didn't get any marks on it. I don't want to push my luck. When the inevitable happens, I'll try not to be too upset.

It is Pink, the colour is called Prune.
