New loose sapphire and a guest star . . .

I bought this cushion from Thanex, after Upgradeable posted the one she lost, I managed to find this one that was much smaller - 1.43 ct.

It has an off-center culet, but I think I''m pretty happy with it. I was considering putting it in my second Legacy setting that''s on its way, but now I''m not so sure. What do you guys think?

Lauren, I love the hue of that sapphire!--I prefer the lighter blues. Love the color of the spinel too! I reallyreally want a periwinkle/lavender spinel. Ahhh! So many gems on my list.

It''s a lovely colour in person, it''s the cut I''m a bit so-so about.

When I get my setting, I''ll take pics of it set down into it and make my final decision then. I''ll post the pics here for sure.

This spinel is much darker than I thought it would be - still pretty, but I don''t know how often I would actually wear it!
Great for my collection, though!

I really like the pretty light blue, Lauren. But we are soo spoiled around here with all of our fabulous cutters. I''m not sure I could tolerate an overly wonky cut, because it would bother me every time I looked at it if it''s readily obvious in person (I can''t reallly get a great sense of the cut from the photos)
