See! The sapph matches my shirt! (and my sheets, my bag... I might have a dark teal problem...)

lovely!! and now you''ve got me wanting a new pretty for a rhr!

Thanks JCrow!

Freke- the cushion is a tourmaline from ebay I got a month or so ago.

Those pics are fabulous! I lovbe the dark teal, and that shape rocks!

Have any idea how you''re going to set these?

Thanks!
I was going to make two bypass bangles, one with the darker square tourm and octagonal spinel, one with the the sapph and cushion tourm, but the etsy seller that makes the style I like doesn''t set any stones but her own, so now I think they might become a set of four solitaire bangles.

The spinel is really bright in person and the facet pattern is pretty different from a round, even in such a small size.

I still don''t know what to do with the spinel asscher. *shrugs*

I love the idea of bangles, and solitaire bangles would be incredibly versatile.

Maybe a pendant for that spinel?

What are the measurements on all of them? As soon as I got another look at the other pictures, I remembered it. I think I just thought it was bigger.

Lovely collection!!!

Wow, I wish I could make my gems multiply. I love the blue color on that stone.
Yeah, that''s a trick we all need to learn - and fast! Nice stones.

BEG- Thanks, I''ll post pics when I get them, I don''t even think that they''re in the mail quite yet.

TGal- I had a plan, but I can''t get the person I was planning with to email me back, to I''ll have to get back to you on that one. Also, I blew my setting cash on new stones (again) so it might be a while. They''re just so fun nekkid!

Thanks Freke, what did you score from Barry?
Same here - so easy to do isn''t it? I was completely weak today, no excuse.

Your stones are lovely Mercoledi, especially that blue green square emerald cut, which just so happens to be my all time favourite cut. Can we see some individual shots please.

New pretties are here! I was unsure about the sapph at first, bit in the daylight it''s exactly the color of my favorite shirt. Here''s an updated family montage!
What a beautiful family portrait! Gorgeous gemstones and colors.

Hi Gailey,
Yeah, I'm not sure how I'm going to get these set, I already have my eye on at least one other stone! The square emerald/carre cut is a tourmaline, .7something. I never really fell in love with that one until I took it on a field trip around town with another tourm that I ended up returning. It's beautiful everywhere but in my apartment! I'll dig around and see if I have more pics of that one, if not, well, it's on a field trip again today, and my camera is here somewhere...

Thank you to all of you, it's fun to share the excitement of new stones! The octagonal spinel has a great shift to near grape-juice under fluorescent lights, I'll have to try and capture that too.

So what did you pick up today?!?

Love the new stones! And what a fabulous group shot-gorgeous :)

From memory...
spinel asscher 5.72
Montana round 4.65
spinel barion 5.17 (Mmm, spready!)
blue/green tourm 5.5ish
green tourm 5ish (guess)

The easy answer for the asscher is a necklace, but then I don't get to _see_ it. DH was unamused with the last setting I bought, he's concerned that it would mean I'd stop wearing my ering, so I don't know if that's worth broaching again. I'd love to set it in a three stone with traps, but that would be a next yearish project.

Thanks StepCutNut!

I love all those colors, especially how they look together.

Beautiful! I love the tones of your stones . . .

I can do magic. With a little help from Dan I was able to turn this stone into this one:
I like this one best.

You''ve inspired me merco. I need a handful of blue/blue green/green stones...

Mer, those stones are gorgeous. I love the colors. Very very nice.

They are lovely. You take such beautiful pictures..

Thank you to all of you, I really enjoy having a place where I can share!

I think I was able to capture the shift that my new spinel has, it''s blue blue blue in sun and pretty much purple under fluorescent lights.

And this little deluge is for Gailey, green-blue tourmaline, square emerald cut.
