I am now working on a 6ct emerald cut bluish green tourmaline. The cutter describe it as a seafoam green. I am really excited about it.
Wohoo! Now that sounds really interesting!

I''ve got a picture. It is a beautiful green but doesn''t seem exactly seafoam on this picture. I am asking for more information and pics. What do you ladies think?

I see a hint of gray, but otherwise the colour is quite nice, definitely different from the usual darker blue green tourmalines. As usual, the cutting is excellent.

Yes, me too. I have asked if there is any gray in it in real life. I guess it is darn obvious who the cutter is, isn''t it?

It's a pretty stone, and that will not go extinct in various lighting, so that's a plus. However, it seems a bit green to be seafoam. They're typically more blue-green (equal parts blue and green). Here are some examples of various shades of seafoam tourmaline.

Also your new emerald cut stone is gorgeous, but I have a different perception of sea foam green too.

The colour looks quite close to some of those on the link though..

Lovinggems, DT, the tourmaline is not mine yet as I haven''t committed to the purchase yet..

Are you waiting to hear back from Barry or just mulling if it’s the right one?
