Now I really did it :((

GM girls! I am off in a few but didn't want to miss a chance to say Happy July 4th! And to our non USA residents Happy Wednesday!

@junebug17 Happy 4th! Safe and fun and enjoy your family and time in the sun! XO.

@CJ2008 hello there and enjoy a wonderful holiday. Hope it's filled with love and peace and joy. Hugs to Mousey!

@Tekate so glad finally you are feeling better and happy and sending you so many hugs and healing wishes now and always. Keep on going strong girl!!!
We don't have a pool and Greg enjoys swimming in the bay in our backyard as do I occasionally but I don't do it as often as he does. We also kayak there though lately I am more prone to sea sickness. But all in all it's a very nice life here and I have no complaints. We feel very fortunate to be able to do this. I love love love Maine but definitely get what your dh is saying. The water is too cold for swimming. But it is a sweet life there too. I hear you about Virginia and the humidity though now I think NY is just as humid. In fact there are many days I think we are hotter and more humid than Fla.:o Having a home in Maine and one in Va might be a nice mix and good compromise for you and your dh.

Our kitties are doing well thanks for asking. Wow Salley is going to love camp I hope. Keep me posted. Very interested to hear how it goes. Is this her first time going? What is involved?

@marcy yay for windows being installed next Friday. And yummm to fruit. I have been making fruit smoothies in my Vitamix the past few days with frozen organic fruit I froze myself and it is so good. I remember why I bought 2 Vitamixes in 2014 now LOL. They will be getting more use now for sure. Yummmmm. Just hope the sugar doesn't cause me to have issues. Will have to take it slow. But man it hits the spot in this heat after a nice bike ride. Enjoy your day off. And I love purple nail polish. I love the darker purple the most. The color that almost looks black. Cherry purple. But all purple is pretty. Hope Marty's new clients keep coming fast and constant and that his business takes off!

@Austina Hope Pilates was good. And OMG I cannot believe you will be here so soon. Safe trip and cannot wait. Hahaha yes our men will be dragging us to OWD. I wish you could bring Dottie too!

 And guess what? I have to email you....a potential exciting bling adventure if you are interested....check your email girl! We have been cycling crazy kids that we are. Heat index has been 105 for the past few days but we leave at 6/6:30AM and tough it out and are back by 11:30 or so. However not sure how much more I can stand of this unbearable heat. Glad yours is breaking finally and it more bearable. Here the humidity seems to be increasing. Can you go over 100% cause that's how it feels.

@PierreBear Greg is using the Instapot all the time but so far I have not added any of those foods back and am still following the AIP for now. I'll keep you posted. Yes I love Dim Sum but haven't had it for ages. My best friend Tom is Chinese and he knows the best authentic places to go for Dim Sum and like me he enjoys food a lot lol. Luckily for him he can still eat everything. Not sure what I could still enjoy with Dim Sum though nowadays. When you visit here I will make it my business to find the best place to go.

GM @Jimmianne Hahaha love your new avatar. It isn't easy being green but girl you pull it off swimmingly. ;-)

Safe travels @rainwood (((Hugs))).

Hugs to all. Enjoy a safe and fun July 4th. XOXO.

Hello lovelies

Happy 4th July!

Although it’s not a celebration day for us, I did start my first proper job on 4th July - so in a way, it was my Independence Day :D

Thanks @missy, I have replied to your email. I’m so sorry, because I know I would’ve absolutely enjoyed ogling more bling, but Adam & Kim are meeting us and have things they want to see, otherwise I’d have been there like a shot! Next time :mrgreen2:

Yes, I think you can get over 100% humidity, because I remember playing golf in the Bahamas and by the time we’d finished, I looked liked I’d just stepped out of the shower. :eek2:

Glad you’re able to get out early and enjoy your cycling.

Don’t worry @Jimmianne , I’m sure there’ll be photos :cool2: I intend to take lots of photos so I can look back at them to help me make my decision next year.

How’s your DD’s puss, is he still eating well? To the wriggly thing, glad you got rid of it.

Marty’s building up his clientele, hopefully they’ll spread the word and he’ll get more. Has he thought about online coaching? It’s huge, Adam has loads of coaches using his APP, and they have hundreds of clients.

How are the fires near you, are they under control?

Your window installation has come round quickly, you must be looking forward to getting it done.

It’s much more pleasant today, a bit cooler and not so humid. I went out to lunch with the ladies from the surgery, lovely to catch up with them.

Wishing all the lovely NIRDIs a happy 4th July :wavey:

Hi NIRDI's! Happy Independence Day to those of us in the U.S.A.

Missy, thank you for the lovely fireworks gif. We are not going out to watch them tonight. Your fruit smoothies sound delicious. We had a bowl of strawberries just about 30 minutes ago. I sure the sugar doesn't bother you. My nail polish looks mauve to me but I agree the darker purples are very nice. I should paint my nails again tonight but I'm not feeling that motivated right now. Ooh to an the exciting bling adventure for you and Austina, do tell us more. You and Greg are real troopers getting out there so early in that heat. Hopefully you get home before it becomes really bad. It sounds like Greg is liking the instapot.

Jimmianne, I am still screaming over your snake. I am with you hoping we get a lot of bling pictures soon.

Austina, yes Marty is working towards being an online coach. He is hoping to get on with Starting Strength; that is who's competition and seminars he attends. He is going to another one in October. What is Adam's coaching app? Marty may have it. Right now he does some online stuff both with his clients and does some online coaching as training. The fires around here are about the same; none of them are out. I am very excited to get our windows installed next week. That's great you cooled off a bit there and enjoyed a lunch with the ladies from surgery.

We slept in until almost 8. Marty has bad insomnia and said he had better sleep through chemistry. He hates to take those pm tablets but sometimes does to get a decent night's sleep. We headed to Sams Club (like a Costco) this morning and stocked up on paper products and meat. Marty cooked chicken, ribs and corn on the cob on the grill. It was good. Tonight we had strawberries with some cheese and crackers.

I spent most of my day working on my Mars program. I am ending with this photo and saying you never know what you'll see when you look through a telescope.

Here is a shot from yesterday morning showing my new polish color, my 4 carat bracelet (I think Austina wanted to see that) and my Kentucky Blue sapphire ring

Hi NIRDI's!

I spent most of my day working on my Mars program. I am ending with this photo and saying you never know what you'll see when you look through a telescope.

Marcy

YES! HELLO MARVIN! Me super luvs!! (I can impersonate "his" voice!!! my claim to fame!)

LOL Sharon. I always think of Marvin saying Earth Shattering Kaboom.

hello to all of th wonderful NIRDIs. Well the last two days of been hell. I've got a 12:20 pm appt with my oral surgeon. My jaw is swollen and hard, I've yet to sleep for 3 days. I'm taking clindamycin again <shrug> the bottom of my mouth is swelling up. This has been one HUGE clusterf--k. I'll let you guys know how it goes, my guess is I have a huge big jaw infection but what do I know.

I miss everyone but have a hard time getting on.. I'm just not feeling at all well.

@marcy love the bracelet, ring and CAR!

@missy gonna send you a note on IG after this clusterf--k, hope you are well, it is damn hot even here in Maine.

@PierreBear sending hellos to you!

@Austina big hugs to you lady!

sorry I am so remiss but unless I kick the bucket I hope to finally get better and back on track.

Stay out of the heat, hope everyone had a great 4th, too hot to do anything here plus all I at was 2 deviled eggs, they were good tho!

Peace and love to you all.

Hello! Gosh it’s hard to be in the office today. Felt like yesterday was a Saturday but still thankful for the 4th holiday. We did a trail run in the morning and then went to Lifetime Fitness (the gym that bought out our local gym) as a trial. It was huggee…… felt like 3 times the size of our local gym. It was an unusual experience where everything in there was “Lifetime” from the machines to the type of protein powdered they sold. Lot of Lifetime marketing and very commercialized. Watched a movie at the dollar theater…. Bit of an old one called Ready Player One. Interesting concept! Relaxed the rest of the day and tried to stay away from the fireworks. My cat is never a fan! Hope ya’ll have a great Thursday.

@missy – Ah makes sense that there aren’t tons of dim sum items you would be able to eat. Apologies but glad that Tom can eat on your behalf.

@Austina – Hope Adam’s online coaching is going well. How did Adam get the online to develop that type of app. I forgot to ask you how he does his workouts via online or he goes to a gym? Such a talented son you have!

What is your new job and how did the first day go? I hope everyone treated you well and made you feel welcome!

@marcy – So interesting that Marty is working towards being an online coach. I’m not familiar with the industry but have seen a glimpse primarily through facebook videos that people post. Is that how online coaches do it is to teach via video, which is a taped version of themselves performing the workout?

Oh I got to SAMs club since I have a membership through work. Maybe it’s not happening at your SAMs but every time I’m there, someone is always trying to sell me a product that I’m not interested in. From massages to hair products to bedding to roofing…. I know they are just doing their job but the soliciting isn’t a fun process when you have a limited amount of time to get some shopping done.

Woah love the photo! So the Porsche interior is red?! How funnnn… what is the color on the outside? Beautiful ring, polish, and bracelet!

@Tekate - Oh we were posting at the same time. Sorry to hear that your mouth is swelling again. I hope it's not an infection or something serious. Maybe just inflammation? Fingers crossed!

Oh Tekate, how horrible. It hurts all the way over here. Oh, please feel better soon!!!

Marcy, wowyzow. That photo is of everythng gorgeous. You are rockin’ it NIRDI sister.
Just having a Porsche moment here...that has got to be the most beautiful color combo. Ever.

PBear, you are right, what a concept. It sounds as though it feels impersonal now, but I suppose it gets the job done just the same.
Do you think you will stay with that gym?

My shopping has been reduced to gerbers chicken and gravy. Jars, jars and more jars of it, fed with a tiny spoon to his royal majesty, Mr.Cat. He is -amazingly-still alive, needless to say, and is having a good day today.
I lied, I did more shopping...at the thrift store and found an excellent outfit. Misook knit pants and a brooks bros. shirt, both like new, look teriffic if I do say so, and for a total of $18.
I always look up clothing prices when I get home and I could have had this outfit retail plus tax for $340. Lol. I am a cheapskate for all except bling, and a good find like that is a thrill.
I love that the shirt is form fitted and has cufflinks because I have a pair of my dad’s cufflinks with little diamonds that I never had a use for. Now if only I can find them, I will be wearing that shirt until it wears OUT!
So that is the exciting new from the hermitage. You will notice I did not mention the S word as I want Marcy to be able to stop screaming.

Hi everyone, I just got back from the oral surgeon, he did another debridment and did a 3D xray of my mandible (jaw :) ) there is infection all around my canine tooth (duh), and perhaps all the front bottom teeth, I have to see an endodontist tomorrow. I am also to see an infectious disease specialist, which I need a referral from my primary care physician (I go to Intermed and they have ID specialist on staff). I'm pretty number now. I am on 300 mg of clindamycin 4x a day and Flagyll 3x a day (I think 300 mg too).. so that is pretty much it.. maybe I will finally get better.

Hope everyone is enjoying the day. Thank you all for listening.

Kate

Kate, I’m glad you have that appointment behind you and are on the right drugs. Hoping for you a speedy recovery.

Hello lovelies

Oh no @Tekate, I’m so sorry that this problem is never ending for you. It sounds absolutely horrendous, I wish there was something I could say or do to help. Hopefully the ABs will kick in quickly to kill off the infection and ease the pain. Take good care, and I hope you can get it under control soon.

Thank you for the photo @marcy, wow, your bracelet is a stunner, and I love the setting of your sapphire.

The red interior of your car is really jazzy!

I hope it didn’t sound like I was trying to push Adam’s APP  I just know from what he tells us that online coaching is huge there, and wondered if it was something Marty was considering.

Yay, we’ll done on the smart shopping @Jimmianne I do like to get a bargain  Sounds like you scored big time. Glad puss is eating well, even if you are literally babying him. Hey, money saved on clothes is more money for bling

When I said 4th July was when I started my first proper job @PierreBear I meant 150 years ago when I was young and just starting out

Adam’s always been interested in fitness, so his APP came about because he wanted a way to track his progress, and realised there was nothing out there that where everything could be integrated. He has a gym at home, but he also trains with a guy who’s helping him increase his lifting weights. He’s very dedicated and measures all his food, eats specifically for the training he’s doing that day, all things I couldn’t be bothered to do! His APP just grew from what he needed, and fortunately it’s going really well, he seems to have found the gap in the market that needed filling.

Sorry you didn’t feel comfortable at the new gym, we used to go to a gym, and when a new guy took over, things started going downhill. The owner and his g/f looked like they were on drugs :-o, the place was dirty, half the equipment was broken, so we quickly stopped going.

Hope all is well with you @missy and you’re enjoying cycling in the cooler mornings.

I finally finished pressure washing all the paving this afternoon, it started out really pleasant, 23 deg C, but got progressively hotter. Fortunately, it was the least amount to do, but still took 90 minutes.

We managed to get Colin a couple of UV protection t-shirts this morning, just in time for the trip. All our clothes are out and folded, just waiting to be bagged and packed at the weekend.

Can’t believe it’s only 3 weeks till we meet up with Missy and Greg  Woohoo!

Hope all the NIRDIs are keeping cool and well.

:wavey:

Hi NIRDI’s!

Tekate, oh no to your infections; I am so sorry. You must be totally miserable. I hope that endocrinologist can help you. Big hugs to you!

PierreBear, I had the exact same thought at the office today. I don’t want to be here. It sounds like you had a great day yesterday; sorry your poor kitty hates the noise of fireworks. Yes, I believe online coaching is big right now. Marty has one; the guy emails him his lifting schedule, including calorie / food percentages and then Marty emails him videos of his reps. The coach then critiques it. Luckily we don’t have people actively trying to sell you something at our Sams. I am like you; I don’t like the pressure from them. My car’s interior is red and the outside is blue - about the same color as that sapphire. I’ll post a picture. At first I wasn’t going to order a red interior but Marty and our salesman talked me in to - I was concerned it would be too flashy but it’s a Porsche so why not?

Jimmianne, I am pretty happy with the blue and red combo. I didn’t want a black interior, I worried about a light interior getting dirty so I was leaning towards brown but we took the red sample out in the Sun and put it inside a blue car and that convinced me. I am glad your kitty is having a good day and you are pampering him. You got such a deal on your clothes, nice! I love the idea of wearing your dad’s cufflinks. I hope you can find them.

Austina, no worries; I didn’t think you were pushing Adam’s app; I was honestly interested in what the app is to see if Marty uses it. If you want Missy can give you my email address and you can send it to me. That would be kind of cool if Marty knows or uses the app. That is awesome how he developed the app and that it is doing so well. He sounds a lot like Marty. Glad to hear you got your power washing done early. 3 more weeks? How exciting.

Thank you all for the kind words about my ring, bracelet and car.

I did some quality checking on some series today to help pass my time. It was great. My boss was very cranky so I was happy to avoid him. Tomorrow is Friday. Woo hoo1!!

Take care.

GOSH! Take care...and take probiotics!!!! Please!!!

Finally, it is Friday! DH is at home since he has vacation and is repainting some walls that has had too many knicks on them. Hard to match an off-white and each wall is different due to the sun exposure. Does everyone eventually just hire a painter to redo the whole house all at once? It’s been 10 years in this home but it’s only certain walls that need some touch up. Anyhow, looking forward to the weekend. Meeting a few friends for brunch on Saturday. Doing a bike ride with another friend on Sunday. I always get nervous riding with other guys but luckily Sunday is usually recovery day for most people but my woman muscles can’t really keep up with guys. I can get around with it a little bit if I use my tri bike instead of my road bike that makes me slightly faster but not as safe to ride with others. Will be cautious always though! OK signing off for now so hope ya’ll have a great weekend!

@Jimmianne – Thanks for asking about the gym situation. I’ll probably stay at my current gym even though it was bought out by Lifetime. I don’t think I’ll pay the extra fee to be able to go to their other Lifetime locations, which is what I was referring to that was so large and commercialized. I’m sure big families love it though as there is a kid babysitting area and a place to get your hair and nail done?! Just a different feel I suppose. I can see where a Lifetime member might come to the local gym and think oh wow how small and dinky. However, I think being somewhat small allows you to meet people and build relationships.

Good job on thrift store shopping! You are a patient lady. I get overwhelmed when clothes aren’t organized and then I’m not encouraged to look.

@Tekate – Oh no…. infection… I hope it heals up quickly. Are you just eating soft foods for now?

@Austina – Awwww you are still so youthful. Was this the job where you were on tv? So neat that Adam is so diligent about fitness. I would really struggle about measuring food and monitoring how hard you work out. So neat that he can make an app so customizable to him! Is it a programming background that allowed him to build an app?

Yay for UV protection shirts. Count down until your big trip!

@marcy – Oh girl you are so bold with your car colors. I love it! I had a dark green car one time but it was my college car and I said “yes please” that a family friend was willing to sell to me at a discounted price. I think we generally just buy white and black now, which is boring but classic I suppose. Such a fun blue color and thanks for sharing the picture.

@missy – Hey lady! How are you doing? You are missed!

Oh no dear Kate. I’m so sorry. :cry2: I hope you are doing better today. I’m keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I’m here for you however I can be. Just messaged you. (((Hugs))).

GM girls. Sorry I feel like I’ve been out of touch here on PS as of late. Though I do remain in close contact with some of you I have missed others. Just want you to know I’m still hanging in there. Dealing with more challenges but I’m staying strong.

@junebug17 so glad your weather‘s cooperating and you’re enjoying a lovely time at the beach.

@Austina no worries at all. Lol it’s just a maybe that I might even attend. So many health things popping up I don’t know what is going to be then. But we will be there to meet you the day before. Looking forward to that. Woohoo your trip countdown begins. Hugs.

@marcy wowza to that bling. THUD! And your car is gorgeous. You sure have a whole lotta beautiful things around you. Sweet. And Sweet that Today is Friday woohoo.

@PierreBear I miss you too girl. I’ve been remiss and will contact you. Yay for your bike ride with friends this Sunday. I know it’s a litttle nerve wracking but you’ll have a great time. Hugs.

@canuk-gal hello there. Have a lovely weekend.

@Jimmianne how’s everyone doing by you?

Sorry for the post and run. I’ll try checking in later with y’all. Have a wonderful Friday. XO.

HI:

NIRDI's hello! Hope your holiday weekend is great! We enjoyed ours last weekend with family out of town. Saw some fireworks--and enjoyed a splendid meal at our favorite Bistro.

Don't know what happened but my neck has been acutely sore for 3 weeks--right hand side. There were days I could not life my head off the pillow or turning without yelping. Foolishly--I took nothing thinking it would go away. But finally I took some Rx anti-inflammatorys and muscle relaxants. It is still sore--so I will go to the MD today (I have been working almost FT and haven't gotten to the MD). I have a massage scheduled today--although they never seem to help me.

Good thing my hip isn't as sore--and I do not have bursitis. Anyway--just falling apart--old age I guess.:confused2:

Sorry for the tale of woe--everyone enjoy your BBQs! It will be 30C degrees this weekend and I could not be happier!!!!

cheers--Sharon

Good Afternoon Lovely Ladies,
Sorry for just jumping in here. This is for Kate. Kate why don't you go to the hospital where they can administer the antibiotics intravenously, I think it would clear the infection up that much quicker, and finally put an end to your suffering. Hope you feel well soon.
Ladies, my apologies again. Have a nice day all.

Will be back later to catch up but just wanted tell @Tekate that I am so sorry you are suffering again and i hope those antibiotics kick in soon. I’m really glad you’re going to see a specialist. Sending lots of hugs and good wishes.

Clueless, that is a really good suggestion!

Hello lovelies

I hope that the ABs have kicked in and the pain and swelling are lessening @Tekate.

Oh no @missy, you poor thing, keep your chin up and keep battling on. Here’s to better days and solutions, you’re a fighter and you’ll get through whatever life throws at you.

Oh no @canuk-gal hope your Drs appt went well. This getting old lark has a lot to answer for. Glad you had a good weekend with family, and if you want any more heat, pleaaaaassssee have some of ours, it’s stifling again here :eek2:

Sounds like you’ve got a busy weekend ahead @PierreBear - far to energetic for me, add to that I can’t even ride a bike because my balance is so bad

We do our own decorating, I like painting and wallpapering. Our first visit to Adams house shortly after he moved in, we were painting 2 bedrooms the day after we arrived :mrgreen2:

Adam’s learnt how to develop his APP on the job, and now because it’s a constantly evolving thing, he hires a developer to do certain things so he has time to deal with new clients.

:dance:Yay it’s Friday @marcy, hope today was a better day at work. Any plans for the weekend?

Hi @junebug17 hope you’re enjoying life and good weather.

We had a horrible experience today at VW. We were on our way back to the car, when a huge Rottie came up. His owners were way off in the distance. He sniffed Dottie and she sniffed him back and walked off. He came after her and tried to hump her, which really frightens her. We shouted no to him, and Colin called out to the owners to get him under control. They called him and he took no notice and kept trying to get at Dottie. They eventually came up and the man said that I “was asking for trouble” waving my arms around. Basically saying their dog would attack me. The woman accused me of hitting the dog when I was trying to shoo him away.

It was pretty obvious by their defensive attitude that he was a problem, no apology, just straight on the attack, accusing and blaming Dottie and us.

Even when we walked on, their dog was still trying to come after Dottie. Argh, ignorant people.

It’s been 30 deg C here today, make it stop!

Lots to do this weekend, we’re going to a friends for dinner tomorrow.

:wavey:

Hi NIRDI’s!

PierreBear, I bet matching paint on just one wall might be difficult. You have a busy weekend planned; definitely be careful and safe on your bike ride Sunday. i have had more blue cars than anything else and 3 red cars, white cars are the best to always look clean. One of those red cars was a sunset orange and looked red or orange depending on the lighting; we really liked that color.

Missy, glad you are staying strong and I am sorry you are dealing with issues. Big hugs to you. Stay cool this weekend and I hope you get some nice rides in before the temperatures get too hot.

Sharon, I am sorry to hear about your neck; I hope the MD fixes you up. I am with you on getting more aches and pains from old age. Ugh.

Good ides Cluless.

Junebug, I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Austina, lol that getting old has a lot to answer for; my dad always said getting old isn’t for sissies. Marty generally uses MyFitnessPal but I don’t know what other apps he uses. Oh no to that horrible dog and people you ran in to today with Dottie. I am sorry to hear that happened.

I got to watch 2 movies at work today. My boss was in a horrible mood so I was glad to disappear for over half of my day.

Marty is training a client early in the morning and playing golf both days this weekend. I have errands to run but not much else. I will just enjoy not being at work.

Have aa fabulous weekend.
Marcy

GM girls! It's a bright crisp autmuny feel day this Caturday Saturday in July. LOL the weather is truly bipolar. Heat indices plummeting from the 100s to the 40s/50s LOL. And it is very autumn like out right now.

@Tekate hope you had a good night last night with much less pain. My fingers toes and everything is crossed for your infectious disease appointment to go well next week and the biopsies to come back with everything figured out. And please know we are here for you. No need to post here when you are not feeling well or feeling like it. Save your energy and we are here for you and keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. (((Hugs))).

@junebug17 hope your wonderful weekend away continues to be relaxing and lovely and so glad you got to enjoy the company of your darling kids.

@Austina thanks for being such a love. I will be OK. I know it. Just getting through the challenges at the moment. Very thankful for my dear husband and wonderful family and my true friends as well as the NIRDI girls. You rock. Safe travels and woohoo in less than a few weeks we will meet in person. :appl:
And OMG so sorry about that terrible experience at VW. Terrifying. I always say there is no such thing as a "bad" dog but bad owners :angryfire: and this is the perfect example. Thank goodness Dottie is A OK and you weren't hurt.

@marcy aww thanks for all your love and support each and every day. XOXO.I am glad Marty is busy with clients and glad you are away from work.Work week from he**. Glad you have the weekend respite and hope it is a peaceful one.

@Cluless hey there and thanks for chiming in with support for our dear Kate. Hope all is well by you.

@canuk-gal sorry to hear of your latest pain and hope that is resolved easily and glad your hip pain is resolved and not bursitis.

Off cycling soon. Have a good Caturday Saturday and hugs to everyone. Leaving you with photos of the kitties (it is Caturday Saturday after all) from last night and one of HRH from just this moment in bed enjoying an easy Saturday morning with the family. :kiss2:

I call this one Bobby the mush.

Hi NIRDI's!

Missy, wow - your weather change sounds like Wyoming. Marty was telling me this morning I like to share my misery, he blames me for sneezing all the time now. I told him I didn't give him allergies; I've still got mine.
I love your Caturday pictures. I see some of your cute kitties are still snuggling up on their fuzzy white rug. That is awesome.

Marty got up at 4 today. I kind of woke up when he left for training someone and got up to make sure he put the trash out when he left. He forgot. Luckily my PJ's are basically light sweat pants and a long sleeve t-shirt so I just put on some shoes and walked the trash can outside. Sadly I was awake for about an hour after that but I did go back to sleep for another hour. When Marty got back from the gym he made us breakfast. He is out playing golf right now and we will meet somewhere for lunch. I am already done with laundry; nice. I can be lazy the rest of the day.

Take care.

@missy
Kitties!!!!!!! So cute when they're all stretched out. And the rug's still white. Well done.

Hi all!

Hi Rainwood! I hope you are doing well.

Hello again, ladies. I'm back to haunt Missy again :)

Missy, I've had a good look around since I was last here to see if I could find anything promising. I've found two MDs who specialize in treating according to the work of Dr James L. Wilson (doctor of biology and a chiropractor). In short, he was able to relate a large amount of data from people suffering with conditions like depression to factors such as undermethylation in cells. He has no definitive proof, only these emergent apparent relationships, and his treatments involve supplements and food.

He's dismissed as a quack for his non-scientific approach as far as proof goes, but presumably he knows what he's talking about when it comes to nutrition. Here are the doctors and an associated dietitian.

As well, have you heard of liposomal supplements? This is a new way to deliver vitamins so that they largely bypass the digestive process and get absorbed by a staggering percentage of something like 90%. It's all new to me, anyway :) Here is Amazon's page for one such. Have a look at the reviews, they're littered by people claiming what would seem to be the impossible. I have some on order as of 5 minutes ago :)

Anyway, I hope that helps. I've also been looking into the phenomenon of adrenal fatigue and the medical community's refusal to address the murky area the label attempts to broach. Fear of being sued would appear to be a big part of lack of innovative spirit in dealing with 'mysterious' cases, it's just sad stuff. If it doesn't have a medical code, it doesn't exist. :(

Hello @rainwood! Hope you had a wonderful time with your family. And haha yes for now the rugs are still white and pristine. Not sure how much longer that will last but here's hoping for a while. It has survived so far 2 kitty hairball throw ups in addition so hardier than we thought at least for now. The kitties send their purrs and love.

@marcy LOL yes very true. If you gave Marty your allergies then why would you still be plagued with yours? Silly Marty.:cheeky: Are our cookies ready? Greg and I were all set to head over to you for cookies and then were delayed thanks to our no good mayor De Blasio using the 3M counterterrorism plane for his personal family vacation. :knockout: I had it on reserve darn.:P2 Hope you enjoyed a lazy Saturday afternoon and good for you finishing up your laundry early in the day. The kitties say hey and want to know where their cookies are (they get their sweet tooth from their mama).

@sunseeker101 thanks so much for the info. I have heard about liposomal delivery for supplements as being an efficient way to get the supplements we need to absorb and thanks for reminding me I need to do more research. I was all ready to order the Vitamin C you linked but it has soy in it and I have to stay away from soy. Darn it. OK a non soy version must be manufactured and thank you for spurring me on to find out more about this. Hope it works for you and please keep me posted how it works for you. Fingers crossed! I am still searching for a functional medicine doctor and I don't know where you are located but I will keep you posted if I find a competent one.

@Tekate sending you more love and good thoughts and hope you are experiencing some relief. (((Hugs))).

We cycled most of the day yesterday as it was gorgeous out. And we had a wonderful time. Today hopefully more of the same. We even ran into Chewy again (the cute 4 month old Boston and I got to hug him again-delicious). Tomorrow sadly we are heading back to reality. The kitties will be not happy at all. They hate the return to NYC day with a passion. And I am not fond of it myself. Anyway today is Sunday and it is a sunny bright day so going to enjoy it to the max and focus on that. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying a sweet happy weekend. XO.

Quick pic in front of the flags to send to our dear friend Simon in the UK. He has a thing for flags. :sun:
