Now I really did it :((

Doing some catching up.
Mmi, I ADORE Red Rocks! Not only did I take my dog there to run around, but one night I saw John Hartford playing his violin with the Denver Symphony. Just the greatest memories.
I hope the wind disapates the smoke. It’s a shame that there are so many fires.
Yay for pink dangles. You have started a fire in my bling heart just talking about them.

How cool that the Austinas and the PBears had a get together and we got to see the diamonds hanging out together.
Austina, happy travels. You must be home by now. Hope it is not tool chilly there, the wearther certainly has taken a turn.

Missy, I love all the photos.

I must cut this short as it was a much longer post and half disappeared during the PS maintenance when I could not post anything.
But this much survived.
More later.

OK fingers crossed this works. My new Leibish and Co Pink Diamond 18K Rose Gold band. Thank you @leibishandco!

blackcartieropalandpinkband.jpg.png

IRL they do look a lovely shade of pink. I am very pleased. And also surprised as I was not expecting it waiting for me when we returned late afternoon yesterday. A happy surprise.

@Austina I am so glad your flight was uneventful! Come back soon!!

Hi everyone!

Missy, no, I don't play golf and don't feel any desire to, at least for now. Dh genuinely enjoys it and looks forward to playing and I don't think I could ever reach that point. Playing tennis appeals to me more and dh and I have been talking about doing that. Love that pic of you as a child, so cute!
That tiny Macan is adorable. Beautiful pics of the sunrise too. The feeder looks great, the kitties will love it. Glad to read that Greg had a good check-up. Congtats on the pink band, it's really pretty and looks so nice with your opal ring

Marcy, no, I've never been to LV before so it would be fun to visit a new place. I'll bet you did fine with your speech, and I agree, let Marty or your friend do it next time lol. Sorry to hear about the smoke and I hope it clears up soon.

Austina, glad you had a good flight and made it home safe and sound. I think the plan is to see Jerry Seinfeld and Aerosmith if we end up going to LV. We'd only be going for a long weekend. Love the bling pics of you and PB's gorgeous rings! They are both stunning. So nice that you and PB were able to meet up.

Sharon, oh no to winter weather already, I hope the sun and warmth return to you.

Tekate, have a good time at the fair, sounds like fun.

Hi @Jimmianne!

Another dreary day here, this weather is sapping whatever little energy or motivation I might normally have haha! Will try to knock a few things off my list but nothing too exciting going on here. Have a great Wednesday!

GM girls!

@junebug17 I have a feeling I will feel the same way about golf but want to give it a try anyway. I love miniature golf but yeah they are so different. And if I am not good at regular golf I hate to say it but I won't like it. I generally do not enjoy activities I am not good at lol. Such a baby I am.:oops2:
The weather is super dreary I agree. That's why I am taking lots of cheery bling pics  as even the rain and dark skies don't bring down the bling kwim?:sun:
Play date soon with your gorgeous ER and Bubbalah...that would brighten any day.8-)

Hope you accomplish lots on your to do list today!

@Tekate how are you doing girl? Did you go to the fair? Thinking of you. (((Hugs))).

@Sandeek hope your week is going well and that your last hyperbaric chamber treatment yesterday went very smoothly and that you are feeling good.

@canuk-gal hope your weather is cooperating and you are getting to enjoy some cycling before the very inclement winter weather starts.

@marcy hope work is going smoothly for you and that your childish employees are behaving themselves. And being at least if not cheerful not sullen.

@Austina hope you are recovered from your long flight over time zones and that you had a good night's sleep and are feeling refreshed.

Hello @Jimmianne hope all is going well for you and that you are enjoying all your home projects and your planning for the upcoming happy event!

Today I am going through my stuff for the rescue kitties in NJ as they are having a fund raiser and need clothing and other assorted items. I hope I have things I can donate because I recently went through and thinned my clothing inventory so not sure what is left but I am going to do the best I can and get rid of as much as I can for this good cause. It will likely be more than one day affair for me given how slow I move with these things. Plus my thyroid numbers came back and it explains it all with how slow I am moving and how tired I feel all the time. I am lower than the registered below normal lab values. Never been this scary low before with my free T3 (and T4) and a high TSH. Not looking good for me and my appointment isn't till end of November so I have to suck it up with no energy and make do and see how it goes. I just hope somehow I can tolerate the thyroid meds this time (unlike last time) when I go back on them in November. Fingers crossed.

Leaving you with a cloud photo from our trip back Monday and a Bubbalah shot against the windshield as the light streamed through.

Hope everyone is well and have a good Wednesday ladies!:wavey:

turkey lurkeys.jpg turkey lurkey.jpg

Good morning ladies. How's everyone? Good I hope.@

Spent the afternoon with one of my dearest and longest friends from high school, she moved back to Maine from CT (again).. love this lady.. @missy no Fair yesterday, we had oodles of rain.. rain date is this Thursday. Had a gaggle of turkey's going thru my yard this a.m., sent the pixs off to my older son telling him there goes of Thanksgiving dinner! :) Tonight we are going to dinner at a friend from IBM days, she moved here a few months ago to retire and we are striking up a great friendship again! Glad she is here..

@missy oh no on your low thyroid numbers.. I hope sincerely you can tolerate the meds I am sure they would help your energy level... oh yes on your kindness for the kitties! and a BIG HUGE yes on your new rose gold band and diamonds and your lovely, gorgeous opal ring, t's just gorgeous Missy.. lovely!!! So happy to read Greg is fit and happy (how couldn't he be with such a lovely, kind wife?)

@Jimmianne how are you and what is new? hope all is great in France.

@canuk-gal how's things with you?

@PierreBear hope all is going well in your neck of the woods

@marcy how's that idiot employee doing? my mom would say, "you have to go thru the bad to get to the good" :) (out of 72 years she only worked for 1 year tho so don't trust my mom :) )

@junebug17 saw a full size macan yesterday, thought of you immediately, then I yearned for one myself! never gonna get it ! Time to watch movies all day if your energy is sapped..!! no to golf - reason: I stink and I have shoulder arthritis!

Everyone else I missed because my memory is going ;-) have a great day.

All love to you all! Kate

Hi NIRDI’s!

Austina, glad you made it home okay and Dottie is safe and sound.

Missy, your pink diamond band is so pretty. It goes great your your gorgeous rings. That is so cool you won it. That’s great news that Greg checked out okay. I need to remind Marty to go in and get checked. His last appointment was when he was in California and he never rescheduled. I am painfully aware of the rain you are having out east. Way too many baseball games are getting rained out and rescheduled tomorrow. I am sorry your thyroid numbers are so low; I hope you get your energy back. I hate to hear you can’t get in to the doctor until November. Big hugs to you. Very cool cloud picture. I took one tonight too when I got home because the clouds looked so cool. Gorgeous Bubbalah picture with your new band.

Jimmianne, I am glad you have good memories of Red Rocks. I understand that spark that spurs us on to new bling. It’s catching. What are you thinking of getting? The fires are still pretty bad but today wasn’t too smoky. It was blowing a different way today.

Hi Tekate. Look at those turkeys wandering through your yard. Very cool! How nice to connect with an old friend. That employee still avoids talking to me. When I go in the room and say good morning or have a good evening he never answers. We had a one on one on Monday and he didn’t have much to say then and didn’t bring up his employee consultation. I think your mom has a point there but I don’t think my employees think that way.

Junebug, I honestly was going to tell the other board members - tag you are it but after they were giving me grief for talking so fast I jumped at the opportunity to tell them to take next month. Ha! Suckers. Sorry the weather is gloomy. Rainy weather is dreary; I like watching lightning though. I wish we’d get some rain on all these fires. Those days are good to get some things checked off your to do list.

It definitely became fall here. I cranked on my furnace last night. Then I turned it off this morning but didn’t turn on the AC either. This time of year I have no idea if I will need heat or AC. I slept better though because I cranked on my heated mattress pad.

I’ve been reading another series of books that keep me interested enough to keep reading just one more chapter.

I had some chicken for supper then got some ice cream on the way home. Marty will be home Friday so I am trying to avoid dishes until then.

Take care.
Marcy

IMG_8374.JPG

Here were the clouds I saw coming home tonight. Unusual formations.

Marcy, gorgeous clouds. Can we be sky buddies? I’m always looking up. My favorite formation is mammatus when it is really round and lumpy. Do you see that Out West? I never saw it until I lived in NC. Looks like you are heading for some weather??? Enjoy those non-dishes meals while you can : )

Tekate, those turkeys look huge! Fun to see them.
Hope all is well there.

Life is complicated here. Not in a bad way, just too much going on; All my American buddies are leaving for the season today so I’m a little sad not to have playmates, taking a neighbor who just had eye surgery to the clinic this morning, picking my dd up at the station this afternoon, the house closing is tomorrow, then two days with dd & f to go over the new house and see what is needed to at least camp out there until we have furniture, and a wedding discussion dinner with her fiancé’s family before she and f. leave for up North on Sunday. Not a vacation right now. LOL
I have my new roof!!!
So
No more drip buckets (hopefully).
And
They took down the unsightly tv anntenae and capped the window sills with zinc sheeting.
“Feeling spiffy” here.

Hello lovelies

Felt :eek2: yesterday, it was soooo cold at our friends house that I knew I’d get ill. I like it cool, but oy, it was freezing. Anyway, spent the day in bed and feel a bit better today.

Oh no @missy I hate to hear that your test results were bad and you’re feeling so drained :(2 Is there any possibility of getting an appointment sooner? Having to struggle on for another 2 months can’t be good for you. I’m happy to hear that all is well with Greg, at least that’s one less worry.

You so deserve the win, and the ring is just so pretty, and your opal  Good luck with all your sorting out, but please don’t overdo it, take good care my bling sister.

Woohoo to a new roof and no more buckets @Jimmianne your house looks lovely. Wow, certainly sounds like a lot going on with you, everything crossed for a smooth closing and finally getting that done with.

Aww shucks @Tekate, you just weren’t quick enough to catch Thanksgiving Dinner

That’s great that your friend lives close by now so you can pick up your friendship again.

We too have had to put the heating on @marcy, it was quite chilly when we got home. Of course, that hasn’t been without problems, the heat wouldn’t come on without the water, so that’s what we’ve had to do. We’ve got someone coming out on Monday to check it out. Only one more day at the madhouse, then it’s the weekend

As someone who played golf for a long time, I can tell you it’s extremely frustrating. Unless you play very regularly, one day you play brilliantly, then the next time, you think you’re doing everything the same, and you can’t hit a thing  There were many times I felt like throwing my clubs in the lake. We keep saying we’re going to start again, but haven’t got round to it. We were very lucky to have played on some beautiful championship courses which Colin’s company owned. If they hadn’t, there’s no way they’d have let hackers like us near them :D

When you play well, it’s the best feeling ever, other days, not so much! :shifty:

Beautiful cloud pix, just wall to wall blue skies here, it’s not going to last though, cold temps forecast from tomorrow.

Big wave to all the lovely NIRDIS :wavey:

GM girls! PS is a huge time suck for me but I admit I love it and much more importantly the connections and real friendships I have made along the way here. Priceless. Speaking of priceless what's not priceless is spending many hours going through old stuff that probably won't get much money for the NJ kitty fundraiser. OMG I spent hours yesterday and just went through about half my pocketbooks that's it! Ugh. Anyway getting rid of anything I haven't used in over a year and that is still in good shape going onto the Ann pile and the rest that I don't use that isn't in good shape is getting thrown out. So much left to do but today is another day though once again I just spent all morning on PS.:P2

@Tekate oooh it's a sign. No turkey eating for Thanksgiving. The Turkeys will be very thankful this Thanksgiving indeed.::) So happy for you that you enjoyed a wonderful day with your girlfriend! You deserve it! Hope you had fun at dinner last night and enjoy the fair today.:appl:

@marcy thank you sweetie. I never would have bought this for myself. It's pretty though and I think I will occasionally wear it. I'm wearing it today in fact. Such pretty cloud pics. Love it Marcy. Yes get Marty and you checked out. Very important. In fact I have not had a body check for many many years but mainly because I have to find someone other than David to do it. I feel weird having him do it for me if you kwim since we were childhood classmates. LOL what can I say. Anyway I have enough to do with doctors these days so will wait on my body check till the dust clears. Most importantly Greg is A OK. Now you and Marty need to get checked. Deal?

Haha fall by you yesterday and summer by us. Super hot here for me yesterday and I had the AC on all day yesterday. Today is a different story. What a difference a day makes. Glad you are engrossed in some interesting reading. Enjoy. And woohoo to Marty arriving home Friday. One more day!

@Jimmianne nice going on the new roof. What a relief. Sorry your American friends are leaving. Good luck tomorrow on the house closing for your DD. Fingers crossed for you. Life is super busy for you right now but mainly good stuff. Enjoy and good luck with all the wedding plans and prep.

@Austina I hear you and that is me. If I am not good at something it can be an exercise in frustration. Thanks for the lovely comments and while I don't feel I deserved to win I am very grateful I won it as it is very pretty. I love pink. Glad you are feeling better today. Traveling long distances takes a lot out of us so be kind to yourself and relax and rest as much as you need to. Enjoy a lovely day.

@Sandeek thinking of you and hoping all is going as scheduled and that work is enjoyable and you are feeling well. XO.

Have a good day girls. (((Hugs))).

Leaving you with a photo of Sir Tommy and HRH Francesca lounging in bed. Lazy is the rule of the land around here.

Hi NIRDI's!

Jimmianne, thank you. I thought those clouds were cool; I am always looking at the sky too. Yes, we can be sky buddies. We do have mammatus clouds here; they often bring hail. Woo hoo for the new roof and looking spiffy. Your place is coming along. You certainly are busy. Hope the house and wedding plains go well. Keep looking up.

Austina, i am sorry you felt bad yesterday but I am glad to hear you are feeling better. I would not be happy in a freezing house either. So you can't get heat until Monday? Oh no! When Marty was in Hong Kong our furnace quit on Friday night during a weekend blizzard. I'm CHEAP though and wouldn't call a repairman on the weekend. I wore sweats and thermals all weekend and survived. I wasn't happy about it though. Your description of the highs and lows of golf is spot on. Marty is so excited when he has a great game and then is so bummed out when he doesn't. I never get anywhere trying to tell him to just have fun and not worry about his score. Glad you have bright, blue skies.

Missy, what a chore going through things to find things to donate or throw up. But what a good feeling when you are done. You certainly are spending a lot of time at the doctors. I will nag at Marty to get his appointment arranged. He is forgetful about sunscreen. I am glad Marty is coming home late tonight. His flight is delayed at least 45 minutes. I told him the rabbits were pretty ticked to hear that; that is 45 more minutes they have to put up with me. Cute picture of Tommy and Francesca. Is Francesca breathing easier?

I wasn't very busy at work today so I was kind of bored. I am glad tomorrow is Friday.

Take care.
Marcy

GM girls! Went through another 2 closets and even though it was already thinned out from my last go around I managed to donate a number of things so yay for that.

@marcy good morning! Sorry work was boring yesterday. What a drag but YAY it's Friday!
1237372v4er6kso38.gif

Thanks for asking about Francesca. She's about the same and we are just hoping she remains stable so we can wait till her echocardiogram appointment next month. She cannot be put on heavier duty meds until her echo checks out. How was Marty's homecoming? I know you are glad he is back (and hopefully keeping those killer bunnies well behaved :rodent:). Any weekend plans?

@Jimmianne GOOD LUCK with the house closing this morning. Fingers and toes all crossed for you! Hoping we will be offering congratulations very soon!

Hello @Sandeek hope you are having a good week and feeling well. You made it through another work week...good going!

@Tekate how are you doing? How was the fair yesterday? Any weekend plans?

It's supposed to be a wonderful weekend and we have some beautiful autumn days ahead. Hoping that forecast is accurate as we have lots of cycling to do...Have a wonderful Friday girls!:wavey:
Leaving you with a lovely beach sunrise. Enjoy.

sunriseatbeach.jpg.png

Hi everyone!

Missy, it's great you are making progress on your closets, that chore is so tedious. I'm sure the fundraiser will appreciate whatever you can give them. Sorry to hear about the low numbers and I hope you can tolerate the meds when you go back on them. Beautiful pics of the sky and Bubbalah! Tommy and HRH look so comfy and cozy :love:You should definitely give golf a try, you might end up really liking it!

@Tekate, it's so nice a few close friends have moved closer to you and you are rekindling friendships. Love the pic of those wild turkeys and lol to your text!

@marcy, sorry winter is heading your way already! A heated mattress pad sounds divine. Amazing pic of the clouds.

@Jimmianne, you do have a lot going on! Good luck with everything and Have fun making plans with dd. Yay to a new roof :appl: Your house is so pretty and picturesque

@Austina, sorry to hear you are under the weather and I hope you feel better soon. It seems like it's always something and I hope the repairman can fix your heat quickly and without much expense. Dh would definitely agree with you about golf being a frustrating game, he's come close to quitting a few times!

Dh, ds, and I are going on a quick trip to Dallas this weekend! Just a quick getaway to see and do something different - we'll do a little sight-seeing and enjoy a few nice meals out - it's a short trip, leaving today and coming home Monday.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!

Happy FriYAYAYAYAY! Ok I’m excited for the weekend but still need to get through some house cleaning this evening. Fingers crossed that the piano sells this weekend as we have someone coming to look at it. Other than that, I’m hoping to dive into a good book I picked up at the library. Perfect time to read as it’s supposed to be rainy. Ha and you won’t believe this… I’m finally watching Star Wars. I’ve been avoiding it my whole life but they were conveniently at the library and DH enjoys them. I’ll be half watching/napping. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

@junebug17 – Oh wow, welcome to Texas. Have a fun trip to Dallas. What sights/restaurants are you checking out? Enjoy and be safe. Hopefully the rain won’t put any stops on your trip.

@missy – Way to go on the spring cleaning of your closet. Must be a good feeling.

@marcy – Oh my, beautiful cloud photos. I miss all the nature scenes from Wyoming.

@Jimmianne – Hope that new roof solves all the problem!

@Austina – Heat on at your place. Wish our temps would drop a bit lower. I’m ready for sweater weather and scarves already.

@Tekate – Thanks for checking in. Hanging in over here. Glad you had a fun time catching up with old friends but could not believe about the turkey you saw! How interesting!

Hello lovelies

Feeling considerably better today, though still have a bit of a cough, but I’ll be fine tomorrow. Thanks for all the good wishes, I’m a tough old bird :cool2:

I could never get in to Star Wars either @PierreBear we did go and see the first one a million years ago - before you were born, but after that, nah, I preferred Star Trek  Fingers crossed your piano gets a new home this week, so you can move forward with your deco plans.

Enjoy Houston @junebug17 We stayed at The Houstonian last time we were there, and the decor made us :rolleyes2: they thought it was English country manor  We went to the Galleria for a wander, and someone was walking around with a tray of what I thought were dried fruit, I picked one up, put it in my mouth to discover it was soap  :eek-2:

Fortunately, we have heat @marcy, just means we have to have the hot water on too. The engineer’s coming Monday, so it should all be fixed then. Hope today didn’t drag at work, yay, it’s the weekend now. Any plans?

Wow that sunrise is spectacular @missy. Glad to hear that Francesca is holding her own, paws all crossed she’s on the mend.

Well done on cleaning out your closets, you know what they say, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure :D Whatever your treasures raise, it’s all to the good.

Yay to good weather, you’re going to hit your goal

Hope all the other NIRDIs are doing well and having a good week.

We’re going to have a quiet weekend, catching up with some of our recorded series, it’s definitely getting autumnal here, cool but bright, perfect staying in weather.

:wavey:

GM girls! It's a beautiful Caturday Saturday here and I hope everyone is doing well!

@junebug17 good morning! Enjoy your impromptu trip to Dallas! How much fun is that and I love that on a whim you decided to take this quick trip. Romantic and exciting. Thank you for the lovely comments and if I do give golf a try perhaps I can entice you to join me. It can be you and me against the fellas. They don't stand a chance. :Up_to_something:

@PierreBear enjoy reading that book. Sounds divine to get involved in a good book. And enjoy Star Wars. You are in for a treat. I hope work is going more smoothy for you. And try that bath. You might surprise yourself. I know I did. By the way did you get to go bling shopping yet? :sun:

@Austina glad you are feeling better my dear. Traveling such a long distance can really beat one up. Enjoy catching up on your shows and relaxing. You deserve it. Thank you, yes it does look like we will meet our goal for cycling miles this year. I will keep y'all posted.

@Tekate have a wonderful weekend and hope you are feeling good.

@Sandeek thinking of you and hoping all is going well.

@marcy how was Marty's homecoming. Did you have astronomy class last night? Teddy is irrepressible and glad to see he is practicing proper safety. :cheeky: He learned from the best.8-)

We are off cycling soon. Have a lovely day girls!:wavey:

Leaving you with 2 photos right before the sunset last night.
The light was magical though I did not capture it with my phone as well as I would have liked to.

backyardclouds.jpg.png

You can see how clear it was last night and the Verrazano bridge and the city are just beautiful from here.
cityviewfrombackyard.jpg.png

Enjoy a wonderful Saturday!

He Everyone! been a busy few days.

@missy the Cumberland Cty Fair was fun.. we got a LOT of maple syrup to tide us over for 2 years probably. Happy Caturday!!!

@junebug17 Dallas! Whiteflash of course. :)

@Jimmianne Hope all is well with the house.. how are you?

@PierreBear you stay warm.. best time of the year here in Maine I think, color everywhere, the the COLD will come :) I have a good friend in Southbury CT and the turkeys that run around near her make mine look like babies.. they are colorful too.. the back of her home faces a little mountain and there are bears and foxes in her backyard sometimes too.. it's gorgeous there..

@Austina hope you are feeling well! hopefully this will be your only cold this fall!

@marcy stay warm, we are getting down to the 40s at night here in southern Maine nice sleeping weather! but I miss the higher sun.. can tell wintuh is coming.

Cleaning service started today, great job.. expensive but quality is always expensive (in jewelry!)

Hope everyone's weekend is wonderful..

Hi to everyone and peace.

Hi NIRDI’s!

Missy, good deal finding more things to donate. i hope they find meds Francesca can take. Give her a hug from me and Karl of course. Marty is kind of worn out; he played golf today but other than that he’s been napping. He killer Rabbits ‘told” me my new teddy bear looks tasty. Gorgeous sunrise shot. Very pretty. I love the colors of the sunset pictures last night. It sure is getting dark early all of a sudden. Yes, I am glad my bears know to hook their seat belts. I’d insist.

Junebug, I do like the electric mattress pad to help take the chill off the bed. I hope you guys have a great time in Dallas. It sounds fun.

PierreBear, did your piano sell? I hope so. Are you enjoying your book? I’ve been reading a lot lately too. I finished book 3 in a series today only to find out there are more. I downloaded book 4 and started it. I hope you enjoy Star Wars. I like the movies.

Austina, I am glad you are feeling better and yay for being a tough old bird. I’d like to think I am there too. That is good news you have heat, that is a necessity IMO. Oh no to sampling a bar of soap; it must have been pretty anyway to resemble fruit. Enjoy your quiet weekend.

Tekate, I bet that maple syrup is fabulous. Yes, you can sure tell fall is upon us. The sun this time of year is always in my eyes going to and from work; my visor doesn’t help either since i am so short. That is awesome your cleaning service started today.

Sharon, that does look fun. What was inside? Inquiring minds want to know.

I think I am catching a cold. Oh no!!! Or my allergies are kicking up tonight. Phooey.

I got the astronomy newsletter mostly done this afternoon. Marty is downstairs napping. Every time I sneeze I get a text that says “sssshhhhhh”.

Yesterday when I got in my car to go to work I found a new teddy bear in the passenger seat. He is so cute. He has a big puffy belly and long legs. Marty says he liked his smirk.

Have aa great weekend.
Marcy

Happy (big and small) dog Sunday. It feels like Monday to me for some reason... Today is the day we will hit our 3K goal fingers crossed.

@Tekate I love maple syrup. Glad you enjoyed a wonderful time at the fair. Yay to your cleaning service doing a nice job. It is worth the money when you come home and the house is sparkly (haha we love our sparkle) clean. Long may that continue.

@marcy sweet on your new adoption. Does he have a name yet? He looks like a really huggable teddy bear. :kiss2: His furry cousins send their purrs and love. HRH Francesca sends meooooowy thanks for the hugs and love from you and Karl. Nice going on almost finishing your astronomy letter. Hope work is going well.

@canuk-gal awww please share a photo our dear bling sister...how exciting. Love Mikimoto and Tiffany. And love saying that word Mikimoto. Try it a few times. It can get challenging yet it is musical too. Anyway their stuff (as well as the Tiffany loot) is TDF gorgeous and please do share an ear shot and whatever else blingy pics you might have from your latest purchases... When one NIRDI collects delicious bling and has good fortune we all win :halo:

@Sandeek, hope you're having a lovely weekend.

We had a fun day yesterday. Cycling in gorgeous weather. Started out cool and got warmer as the day progressed. I even got in some "rock" climbing haha. As much rock climbing as this city girl will ever do. Remember I am Ms Kltuz. Sharing my day in a pictorial. Hope you enjoy.

Started out in many layers (can you see my cute new and first day worn cycling pants...love the sweet pattern)

terrariandmeinfrontofbeachhouse.jpeg.png

Wish I could share our video up and down that steep bridge but suffice it to say we broke our speed record woohoo!
bikebikebike.gif

Climbing the "rocks" in Sea Bright near the end of our long cycling day.
This is the sea wall and it's so pretty. I love how white and worn it is and it looks like powdery snow.

climbingseabrightrocks.jpg.png

Whew, didn't break anything...me and my shadow are in one piece.

seabrightrocksandmyshadow.jpg.png

and the lovely scenery on the last leg of the journey.

cyclingbayshoretrailscenery.jpeg.png

and finally soaking in a very warm bath after the day's activities. Ahhhh, this is the life.:halo:

Have a wonderful Sunday girls!

Hello lovelies

Come on @canuk-gal you can’t post a photo like that and leave us dangling

Glad you got your money’s worth @Tekate makes it more palatable that they did a good job. I’m fine thanks, I’m rarely ill, I think the main problem is the recirculated air on the plane. BA are using clapped out planes on the Austin route (also to NY) which they should be changing soon. The newer planes have much better ventilation, which helps reduce the chance of getting all these germs also jetlag. How’re you feeling?

I hope you’re not getting a cold @marcy, lots of Vit C and manuka honey. Marty is such a joker, your new ted is cute and cuddly. Yay to getting your newsletter done. When’s the next meeting?

Hope you’ve been having fun @junebug17 and enjoying the sights of Houston.

 To reaching your goal @missy you deserve that relaxing bath after all that exertion.

Wow the rocks really do look like snowy scene, just look at that bright blue sky.

Lovely bright blue skies here, but coolish, we’re happy as long as it’s not raining.

Haven’t done much this weekend, cooked a couple of meals for the freezer yesterday, and caught up on some recorded programmes.

:wavey:

Hi NIRDI's!

Missy, I hope you hit your 3K mark today. :appl: What an achievement! What was your speed record? Marty broke his recently too. Great pictures of your day. Those rocks do look like they are snow covered. Pretty scenery picture too. And soaking in a warm tub, what a relaxing way to unwind. I am still debating a few names for my new bear. Marty keeps suggesting entree.

Austina, Marty does think he's pretty funny. I am easily amused to I do encourage it. I am not worse today on sneezing so I think we just had heavy smoke last night. I hope that was it anyway. Our next meeting is in a few weeks; I get to set back and watch this time. Woo hoo! I am glad you are having a relaxing weekend.

I too am having a relaxing day. I finished the newsletter, took care of my last batch of laundry and other than meals and dishes my only other decision for the day is whether to leave my nail polish one more day or put on fresh polish today. Tough decisions.

Take care.

Well Happy Sunday ladies!

@marcy Thank you! maple syrup for the centuries.. soon we will be dark by 4:00pm Marcy.. eeek! careful driving - I remember those days. And Marcy, we need VIT D also... I am always like way low by the end of winter.. Take the VIT C to ward off the cold! it could just be the weather - hope it is.

@Austina Thank you Austina, glad you are feeling better. I have only flown BA once but very much liked it.. cabin staff were very nice and professional (not like some of the local lines here to Portland, I call those service people VAMPIRES.. they look like one! ;-) ha!

@missy don't know when I'm going to Brooklyn YET, I have to talk to my nephew, talked to my niece earlier and she is tops... but I stay with her brother as her place in Williamsburg... my nephew is in Fort Greene. MISSYYY!!!! yay on making your number.. you look happy, you look great and that makes me happy!

@canuk-gal bring on the bling girl!!! congrats Sharon!

Coming up on Monday! another week older and but not in too much debt :)

Kate

Hi all! Dropping in quickly as the kiddos are visiting. A lot of talk about wedding venues. Exciting!

Wow @missy What an accomplishment. All of those miles! Wowee! You’re pics as usual are beautiful. Those rocks are amazing. Hope you are feeling well lately! Love seeing your pics, especially of your beautiful OEC rock!

@marcy and @Austina I do hope you both are feeling well. This is the time I always get sick as I am around all the germs, I mean kids, at work haha. Feel well!

@Tekate How are you feeling my friend? How are you doing on the antibiotic? I hope you are continuing to be well and get rid of the infection once and for all. I am still on Amoxicillin and I do take a strong probiotic.

I’ve busy with work, medical tests and Dr appts. I had an Aortic Runoff and bilateral MRA of my calves to see if I can afford to lose one of the fibulas to my jaw, truly putting foot in mouth hahaha. The Hyperbaric treatments ended thankfully and I am hoping to get my distance sight back, though I will miss amazing my friends and family of my bionic-like ability to read the tiniest of print. The distance vision, however, is sorely missed and definitely a disability for me.

Sorry I’ve been absent, it’s a crazy busy time for me both at work and health wise.

Hi to all the wonderful NIRDIs. :kiss2:

@Sandeek dear lord girl, what s an aortic runofff?? I will look it up after I finish this.. I so hope you are doing okay.. I am so sorry they have to take bone out and replace it in your jaw, I send healing thoughts to you. I'll pray to Dhanvantari for you if you don't mind, my neighbor is a Hindu lady and she is tops with me and I love her food!

I am so so sorry you have to go through with all this, and work I am so happy you are done with the hyperbaric sessions! I also hope for your eyesight to return Sandeek you have been thru so danged much.. I am on clindamycin for 4 more weeks and switch back to the doxycycline for 6 weeks then back.. Clindamycin is a notorious C-Diff cause and my ID doctor doesn't want me to acquire it! My heart to you heart.

DO NOT WORK TOO HARD.

all my best and warm healing thoughts to you.

Kate

@Tekate Thank you so much for any prayers you so kindly offer up to any deity! I’ll take whatever I can get.
The aortic runoff test is to determine that my foot will have enough circulation if the fibula with it’s artery and vein are removed. The bone would be much better for a transplant than the hip bone with no blood supply. At least this is what I think they explained to me! Lol

I agree about the antibiotics and c-diff. Sadly, before my mom passed she had osteomyelitis of her jaw bone too (even how rare it is) and did develop c-diff from the antibiotics. We both had the IV infusions. You can imagine my fear! C-diff is no joke! Please be careful and diligent about your tummy! Prayers and dust to you! :kiss2:

Thank you sweetie.. :) I am so sorry your mom got C-Diff, osteomyelitis and you have it too.. So incredibly stressful. Keep me in your loop I send you healing thoughts. Gosh I wish you didn't need the bone transplant but I DO believe in good medicine and good doctors so I know you will be fine.. (((((((Sandeek)))))) Kate

Tekate, luckily we do get a lot of sunshine here in the winter; I wander over to the window at work just to warm up sometimes. Good plan on taking Vitamins to help get through those cold, dark months. Time does march on. I hope you have a good week.

Sandeek, planning weddings sounds fun. Good luck with your tests and treatments. I hope you get your distance vision back. I sure have problems with distance and depth perception. Hang in there; I will keep you in my thoughts.

GM girls! Happy October 1st!

@marcy thank you very much m'dear. Yes we hit the 3K goal in the middle of our ride yesterday and now of course I have a new goal :lol:

We took a photo at the 3K mark.

3000milegoal.jpg.png

and of course our reward soon after

I think we ended the day at something like 3027 but don't quote me on that. Pleased we hit our goal and now would like to keep going.

That is sweet you get all that sunshine in the winter. We do not come close to that. Sometimes I feel like we live in the Pacific Northwest in the winter but for our extreme temps. So none of the advantages (mild climate) and all the disadvantages (little sunshine) but we will see what this winter brings.

Hahaha Marty wants to name your new Teddy Entree. What a jokester. I love his (and your) wicked sense of humor. Humor keeps us going and thank goodness for maintaining a healthy sense of humor as life can be and often is challenging. Which brings me to two of our dearest NIRDI girls.

@Sandeek I am so sorry for everything you are going through and for what your dear mom had to go through. Challenging does not begin to describe your experiences. I am continuing to hold you in my thoughts and prayers and hoping hard that this ordeal is over for you soon and that you have a successful transplant operation. Outgoing dust and prayers and good thoughts. And I hope your distance vision fully recovers! (((HUGS))).

@Tekate Ft. Greene is right next to our neighborhood. Just a hop away. Williamsburg is a hop skip and jump away so just a bit further. Both your family members do not live far at all from us. Both hot neighborhoods too. Sending you lots of well wishes and healing dust. No C-Diff for you! I command the universe to leave you alone! My goodness what you and @Sandeek are going through is surreal and I hope sooner rather than later it is a distant memory and we can all laugh about this. (((HUGS))).

Also keeping in my thoughts and prayers is another darling NIRDI who I am thinking about at this difficult time. Love you. Looking forward to seeing you in a few days. (((HUGS))).

@Austina glad your weekend went smoothly and that you cooked and froze some meals (love when Greg cooks in abundance and I get to freeze for easy peasy leftovers) and caught up on some shows. I have been meaning to ask you is your gate from the car accident fixed now? How is sweet Dottie doing?

@junebug17 hope you had a great time in Texas this weekend and are back safe and sound and enjoying this lovely Monday.

Have a wonderful day girls. We are off cycling in a bit. Hugs all around.
