Now I really did it :((

Oh Missy, what you wrote about your mom giving Greg half her pain medication just made me cry. As someone who suffers from chronic pain I know the importance of pain management. This is such a loving gift. She is sacrificing her own well being for Greg. That is LOVE!

Yup, exactly. You get it. It is truly one of the most selfless gifts one can give another. My mom experiences terrible pain much of the time but my parents love Greg as if he is their son and they would do anything for their children and grandchildren. It makes my cry too. Greg tried refusing because neither of us want to take pain relief away from my mom but she insisted and she is very stubborn.

I am so sorry you deal with chronic pain and sending you gentle hugs and lots of healing vibes.

@missy I hope your mother can replenish her doze, so the gift is bearable ,( [a very kind local farmacist is getting in trouble & I owe him nearly as much! I took him for granted, for sure ... now, I can do nothing & he saved my arse]
I'll be counting hours to 00:00 Jan 03 Atlantic Time ...

Thanks @AV_ no she just got her refill Christmas Eve and gave Greg half of it on Christmas. So hoping she has enough and hoping Greg doesn't need any of them so we can give them back as soon as he is clear.

I am glad you had a kind pharmacist when you needed him and hope should the need arise again you find another kind soul to help you dear AV. Better yet may that time never come when you are in dire circumstances.

@missy I don't think I could live with such a gift without spreading a few words of wisdom around to whom it might concern & further afield too.

[my story is petty: the kind of trouble one gets when the ER is too far & the village farmacist is dully on call at all times across the street; it was a one off sort of thing & he is famously taken for granted by everyone for anything]

oh missy, you have the most beautiful family
congradulations to your mom and pop on their wedfing anniversary
you must have inherited your kindness from your mom
i think those of us who mostly live without pain can't really understand the debilitating effect it has on someone's day to day life until something unfortunate and painful happens to us
i hope your mom is ok on half dozes and the pain killers ease Greg's pain

we heard for Gary's kids at Christmas
Melanie and family had been on holiday with Gary's brother and SIL
(why won't they stay with us - we have a brand new guest bed in a nice room?)
they say the kid's don't like long drives in the car (its 2 hours - my dad woukd happily drive us further than that for an icecream)
Tibby and Borris didnt seem overly impressed getting cat food for breakfast after a couple of indulgent days

please NIRDI it ladies, stay happy and healthy for the holidays

Hi NIRDI’s!

@Scandinavian I hope your mom has some nice days before her next chemo. Wishing her luck with that.

@Jimmianne your dinner sounds perfect and nice you spent so much quality time with your SIL. That sounds like a great time. Good deal your DD and SIL ended up staying so long too. I am glad you had such a wonderful day. Good question on my favorite holiday memory. For this year it was the little Snoopy Marty found me that is lifting. I was shocked he found something so perfect for me. What was your favorite memory so far?

@missy that is so heartwarming your mom gave up some of her much needed pain meds to help Greg. She knows how much he takes care of you. You and Greg are certainly putting the Energizer Bunny to shame. You have both taken more than a licking; it’s more like a punch in the throat, eyeballs, gut and other sensitive places. Thank you and Greg for sending Marty your best; he says hi back. You are welcome for my support. Any time. Happy Anniversary to your parents; 56 years is amazing. That’s okay if your kitties reassure you that you are fine; they at least make noise. My bears are always telling me I’m okay.

@AV_ gifts to yourself are the best. Nice that the almond trees are about ready to flower.

@Daisys and Diamonds my dad would drive us 100 miles for ice cream, coffee or just to do something. We used to tease him about making sure he gets in bonus miles.

Returning to work was difficult today. I just mostly didn’t want to be there. I snuck off at 4:58 though - ha! I met Marty for supper. I ordered a medium well burger, think the waitress heard blackened. Rats. One more day of work. Sadly snow is moving in; I sure hope I can go see that heart diamond on Saturday.

Take care.
Marcy

Marcy, that lifting Snoopy is adorable.
Boo to snow! And yay to hearts!

Missy, I’m glad Greg is home and resting and hopefully not in pain. Your Mom is a champ.

My DD and SIL came out here again yesterday. I love having them around. My SIL is still very impressed with the wild ride through the woods on Christmas. He bragged to his family in France about it and now they want to come visit my farm. LOL
I love them all and it would be great to host them here.

When I woke up at 4am I discovered that my DD’s bunny had died during the night. Had myself a good cry and a shot of Baileys. it looks as though he went peacefully. With all my dogs and cats and llamas and horses that I have lost over the years here, it does not get easier. I must say they all had good lives and lived out their life expectancies. The bunny was 6 1/2 and giant bunnies typically live as long as 7. As you all know part of what makes it harder is when they are sick and you are spending so much time nursing them, that the attachment is even stronger. Some of us lost some very dear companions this year.:(2

love to everyone. I am off to look online at hearts!
C

@Jimmianne I am so sorry about DD's bunny :( My heart goes out to you and your daughter. I hope you both can take comfort that you gave the bunny a wonderful life filled with warmth and security and love. Most bunnies don't get any of that. It is always so painful losing a beloved furry family member. Sending you gentle hugs and love.

GM girls. Happy FriYAY. Which makes me think of our lovely @bling_dream19 I hope you are having the best honeymoon and enjoying a romantic holiday week with your DH! Does referring to your DH as your hubby sound weird to you? If so you will get used to it quickly I am sure.

@marcy sounds like it was tough going back to work yesterday and I get that but woohoo tomorrow is Saturday. Hope today goes quickly for you and glad you got to leave a bit (lol) early yesterday and meet Marty for a nice dinner. XO.

@Daisys and Diamonds thank you so much for your lovely comments. Yes you are so right. One really must walk in another's shoes before completely understanding some complex issues. I hope you are enjoying a wonderful holiday week with your loved ones. XO.

@AV_ hope you are continuing happy Christmas celebrations. Love when the festivities continue on and on...enjoy. What gifts did you get for yourself?

@Scandinavian hope your mom is enjoying some peace and happiness and that her next round of chemo goes very smoothly and takes care of what it needs to. Sending you hugs and love.

@Slick1 good morning, hope you are continuing to enjoy a happy and peaceful week. XO.

We actually went cycling yesterday as Greg's knee is hurting him and cycling helps ease the pain. If he doesn't work out for a few days in a row he starts getting a lot more knee pain. So against my better judgement (because he isn't feeling well) we went cycling. It was nice but we had to stop every 10-15 minutes for him to pee and he wasn't feeling great. But he insisted and he is stubborn. We did get ice cream haha. It was overall a good day despite what Greg is dealing with and my worrying about him.

Screen Shot 2019-12-27 at 7.50.55 AM.png

It was a hazy filtered sunshine type of day but mild temps in the mid 40s so not bad at all for cycling as long as one is bundled up which we were.

Hope everyone is enjoying a peaceful week. (((Hugs))).

OMG! So embarrassing after I went on and on here about pain meds!

Greg just came over and showed me one of the bottles of pills the surgeon prescribed. He prescribed a number of meds I picked up for Greg Christmas Eve at the pharmacy after his surgery. Anyway I thought one of the meds was Acetaminophen as that was what the surgeon told us he was prescribing for pain. Swear to g-d that is what he said.

After the surgery the nurses handed me the RXs that they faxed over to the pharmacy. Mind you for narcotics you need a written RX to the pharmacist. Faxed doesn't work and I already went through that Sunday with the hospital. So I picked up the meds and saw Acetaminophen and put it away as we had Tylenol also and Greg was not in need of any pain meds at that time.

FF to today. Greg was going through the pills he has to take and he found the bottle from Tuesday that we thought was Tylenol. Greg shows me the bottle and it is Acetaminophen and Codeine. So not Percocet but not just plain Acetaminophen. Oy Vey. Why did the surgeon say he was just prescribing Acetaminophen and why did the pharmacy not need the handwritten (which we never got not gave to the pharmacy) RX? I guess for Tylenol 3 you do not need to hand in a written RX to the pharmacy.

We never had to take my mom's meds. Good news is we can give it back to her hopefully in January. But OMG just ridiculous. This whole thing.

To be clear the ER doctor refused to write for more pain meds and this was the surgeon who wrote for it but didn't tell us as he told us Greg only needed Acetaminophen. Why the change of heart? We didn't argue with him at all on Tuesday as both Greg and I were worn out. So when Greg asked what are you prescribing for the pain the surgeon said all you need is Acetaminophen. Looking it up I now realize that Tylenol with Codeine as also called Tylenol 3 so technically I guess the surgeon did Rx Tylenol. Just didn't tell us it contained Codeine which will help mild to moderate pain. I want to say I am relieved but honestly I will be relieved when all these issues are resolved. It has been a very long challenging 6 months plus and we are both so exhausted. #newyeargoals #healthy #healing #peace #hopingandpraying

@Jimmianne I am so sorry about your DD’s rabbit. How heartbreaking. It hugs to you.

@missy what a mess about Greg’s pain medicine. Tylenol 3 is definitely not an over the counter drug. That stuff stays in my stomach exactly 15 minutes then my Stomach says you can have that back now. Hoping Greg is not in too much pain. Nice you can give your mom her medicine back though. Tell Greg I have days where I have to stop to visit the little PS room frequently. Marty has military bladder. I surely do not. Yay for going for a ride though.

Good morning lovelies

I’m so sorry @Jimmianne, poor bunny, hopefully sleep came and it was a very peaceful end. It doesn’t get any easier, we think we ‘get used’ to it, but I’m finding it harder each time. It doesn’t stop us putting ourselves through it again, because the price of love is pain. I’m so glad you’re spending so much time with DD and SIL, sounds like he’s very impressed with his rocking MIL!

@missy, I’m not surprised your mother is so selfless that she would give half her pain meds to Greg, it’s easy to see that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, and that’s why you’re such a kind and caring person. I’m glad to hear that Greg has enough meds that you can return the others so your Mum doesn’t suffer. Good news that he felt well enough to cycle yesterday, even if you needed several pit stops along the way.

Boo to having to work yesterday @marcy, it’s traditionally a holiday in the UK, and a lot of people end up taking the whole of Christmas week off. I’m working on getting a good shot of my pendant. Ever since I watched Bewitched as a child, I always wanted a diamond heart pendant.

@Daisys and Diamonds, I made a pork, sage and onion stuffing to go with the turkey. I didn’t have a recipe, I just threw it together. Fresh breadcrumbs, fresh sage, sautéed onions, and as I couldn’t get sausagemeat here, I used minced pork, and whizzed it up finer in the food processor, added salt and pepper and an egg. Adam said he preferred it to the stuffing we usually have, and said I should make that in future instead. I hope you and Gary enjoyed your day.

@bling_dream19 I hope you’re having a wonderful honeymoon.

Were your little nieces excited with their presents @Calliecake ? It was pandemonium at Kim’s sister with all the little ones ripping their presents apart  They were very good at sharing and playing nicely together.

Did you have a good day @junebug17?

I hope your DH was feeling well enough to enjoy Christmas @Mamabean, and that things were cordial between your 2 sons.

Hope you had a fabulous day @Tekate, I’m sure Autie would’ve loved all the gifts she was given, although she probably had more fun with the paper and boxes than the gifts themselves :D

It was extremely noisy at Kim’s sister’s, not just the children, but the adults decided karaoke would be fun  Let’s just say, none of them will be getting a record deal any time soon:mrgreen: We had a white elephant exchange, and actually, all the gifts were really good.

We had a lazy day yesterday after all the prepping and cooking of the previous days, and I think more of the same today. I’ll start the packing today. We’ve been away for 3 weeks today, and I’m ready to get home.

Big wave to all the lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

@missy RELIEF! You did scare me more than a little. I have never been happier [or more impressed!] to hear about any cycling, as about your round with Greg today! - even a little after surgery counts over the Tour de France! Of course, your friendship is even more; OK, you two are also married, but marriage is run of the mill, friendship is rare as legend! In fact, I can only think of one other pair of people this close & they were in their eighties when I have met them & only looked old if you did not notice how fast & happy they lived! Unbelievable, like a miracle or a high rope act, except for them it was all as safe & obvious as walking [where 'they' are my maternal gradparents, RIP - they are The famous local pair even today]. I'd wish you their long happyness, as if you did not have it already!

[I am in Cristmath mood - florid]

re. gift to self - starting a new paper is IT; as it relates to a pile of very nice correspondence it is such a pleasure, I do not have room for much of anything else. I usually keep the three days of religious holiday 14 to 26, be what may [work allows - it is either after the academic or my national calendar - both comply; I feel odd going out]. Tomorrow there are chores to catch up with & must go to town, or else. Will do my best to pay attention to the EOY usuals too ,)

@marcy The lifting Snoopy is avatar worthy! [of course, what do I know...]

Hi:

@missy I am happy to hear Greg is up tp cycling! He is Ironman!!! Glad you had some extra pain meds to manage his post op pain. T3's would help. BTW I've been meaning to ask if Greg has seen a dietitian --people who have repeat kidney stones often benefit from diet changes. :wavey:

Might go skating later with the family--if I can find my skates of course! I need to get groceries--no butter or anything else round here!

Shout out to NIRDI's!

cheers--Sharon

Hope everyone is enjoying a peaceful week. (((Hugs))).

It is a happy FriYAY!! I am married and have a DH now. It does feel wierd to say husband sometimes and other times feels natural. I like to say hubby! Honeymoon was wonderful and I'm hoping for a year long honeymoon! Family time the next week or so. I definitely will do a post when I can take the time to give more deets about the wedding. It was beautiful for sure. I still had my moments of nerves and learned a lot. I'm happy and excited to be living life married to the man I love. I hope everyone has had a Merry Christmas! Thank you for all of the well wishes. Thank you for your patience in advance. Hugs and love to all!

@Austina, forgot to say Kim did a great job on your nails and both your rings are drop-dead gorgeous. I know the loss of your sweet Dottie took away from your joy but I hope being surrounded by family brought you some comfort and distraction. It sounds like a fun time, and I bet the kareoke was a blast. It's nice to enjoy some peace and quiet after all the activity though. Wow, I didn't realize you have been away that long! You're probably looking forward to sleeping in your own bed again.

Omigosh, I'm sorry I missed your anniversary! Happy belated Anniversary and congrats on 41 years of marriage, that is just wonderful.

@missy, so nice you were able to get together with your parents. Congrats to them on 56 years, that is just fantastic. I'm glad that Greg's pain meds worked out and your mother can have hers back. I'm also hoping he's not going to need them very much. And great news that he's feeling ok and I really hope that continues. I hope you both get some rest this weekend; it's been a hectic and eventful week for you both. Sweet pics of Oliver, he is a beautiful kitty. <3

@Jimmianne, I am so very sorry about your dd's bunny. What a hard and upsetting thing for you to experience. Sending you comfort. You were the best bunny aunt ever and you did all you could to help him.

So nice that you were able to spend a lot of time with dd and her husband, I know it must have meant so much to you. Congrats on the successful meal! I always feel the same way...I'm never quite sure how things are going to turn out. LOL on that ride with your SIL. What a Christmas adventure.

@marcy, I'm sorry to read you were a little down this holiday season. Your family dinner sounds like it was a success and I'm glad the white elephant was fun. I love heart-shaped diamonds so I'm going to be a total enabler on the upgrade and recommend you go for it LOL. Weight-lifting Snoopy is adorable and just perfect for you and Marty. Sounds like you had some nice days off and I can see how it was hard to go back to work. I'm sure you're happy it's Friday.

@Scandinavian, I hope your mother felt well during the holidays and hopefully you were able to spend time with her. I hope you had a lovely Christmas with your dh and your children.

@Daisys and Diamonds, your Nativity scene is absolutely beautiful. It's a joy to look at. I hope you, Gary, and the kitties had a joyous and relaxing Christmas and I hope Gary is feeling better soon. I'm sure the kitties enjoyed their Christmas meal lol. Your cheesecake looks amazing, yum.

@distracts, oh no to all the issues with your kitty, you (and he) definitely had a rough time of it and I hope he's doing better by now.

@Tekate, hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family and your adorable Autie!

@canuk, I'm so sorry your mother and sister were sick for the holiday and I'm sending them both lots of get-well vibes. Hope you had a lovely time with your dh and son. And if you end up going skating have a great time.

@AV_, your pictures are so beautiful, what gorgeous scenery. Glad to hear you are excited about your new work project. It always helps when one enjoys what they do for a living!

@bling_dream, welcome back and congrats again on this very special time in your life! Enjoy your time with your family and have a great holiday season.

I had a great Christmas with my family. Dinner on Christmas went well and we all had a good time spending time together. My brother didn't join us but I went to his place on Monday and we had a nice visit. DD and her bf left today, and ds and dh had to go to work so the house seems a bit empty right now - always a bit sad when dd leaves but she's really not that far so we can get together soon. There are things I could be doing around this house but after the past few busy days I've decided to procrastinate and do it tomorrow.

Hope everyone is enjoying a good day!

@Austina I am sorry I missed your anniversary. Happy 41 wonderful years married to Colin. You two are the perfect match. Lovely and kind and wonderful in so many ways. Sending you (((hugs))) and all the best!

happyanniversarytoyou.gif

Wishing you many more decades of blissful love together. XO.

Austina, happy anniversary! Wow 41 years is impressive...congratulations.

Missy, I can hardly believe Greg is already back out on the bike. Nice that he got some ice cream therapy too.

We had a funeral for our giant bunny that was very nice. He is buried in my flower garden next to the front door, under a sculpture of a rabbit.

I’ve been using an acupressure mat that DD gave me for Christmas. It is a little painful! LOL and stimulates endorphins to help with pain. I love it.

Happy Caturday NIRDIs! What fun things are you up to on this fine day???

@Jimmianne im so sorry about your bunny, i hope in time you can take comfort he passed warm and dry and safe and loved in his bed at home safe in dream land, the way everyone should go. Tibby sends a big hug to your daughter and you
sometimes his hugs and kisses don't smell good if its right after breakfast but they always come from his heart

I guess you have been doung it since you were a litrle girl - have fun

@ Austina your stuffing sounds delicouse.
At the last moment Gary desided we would have pork and cook the turkey next time the kids come to visit, i bright sausage meat - goodness looking at its expiry date it must be full of preservatives, i might add some pork mince to it now
tell us more about the white elephant exchange ?
41 years is to be commended
May @bling_dream19 's marrage be as long and happy and succesful as yours

Now where is this snoopy of Missy's ??

@missy im really happy you got icecream and some cycling in

hopefully with all that peeing Greg will pass some of those little stones
Im glad he has painkillers of his own now and your dear mom wont be short

@marcy that's funny
Marty has military bladder
Im afraid i have the woolworths type
And i dont know what woolworths was like in other parts of the world, but we had the cheap and cheerful kind
Sorry your back at work already, i hope everyone is being nice at least

Dear @AV_ it is always a pleasure to read anything you write. You have such a way with words. So poetic and artistic and it is as if I am listening to the most harmonious symphony when I read your words. You bring (happy) tears to my eyes. Thank you for your kind and generous enthusiasm and heartfelt and warm and generous comments. You always say just the right thing and your posts are always filled with warmth and love. It means so much to me. It truly does. In a cold and at times heartless world you bring a wonderful energy. Thank you for being here and for being my friend. I hope you enjoy a most wonderful weekend and a lovely rest of the holiday. (((Hugs))).

Woohoo congrats dear @bling_dream19 !!! A special and beautiful day for a most special and beautiful lady. Enjoy each day and no worries about posting here. When you have the time and energy and wherewithal I look forward to hearing and seeing all about your special day. Sending you lots of love and hugs.

@missy, so nice you were able to get together with your parents. Congrats to them on 56 years, that is just fantastic. I'm glad that Greg's pain meds worked out and your mother can have hers back. Thanks Junie. It was a lovely day given the circumstances with Greg one day post op. A treat to see my parents and it was nice to almost feel like it was back to "normal" given we have been here since May. He is continuing to feel better thank goodness and just wish we didn't have those kidney stones weighing on our minds. He has a 12 mm in his kidney so it's like a ticking time bomb with the TKR surgery in January. Wish we had a crystal ball to see what we should do. In the meantime waiting til next week and I will call the surgeon's office and see about the lithotripsy. Greg now wants to put it off but not sure what the right thing is to do.

I had a great Christmas with my family. Dinner on Christmas went well and we all had a good time spending time together. My brother didn't join us but I went to his place on Monday and we had a nice visit. Yay, so glad you enjoyed a happy Christmas day all of you together. And happy you got to see your brother on Monday and had a good visit. I am sorry it goes so fast and that DD and her BF left yesterday and that your DS and DH had to go to work yesterday. That quietness when everyone leaves after a day filled with bustling energy and love feels so stark by contrast. I am glad you can see your DD whenever you want being you aren't too far away in distance. I hope you had a good day resting and energizing and that the weekend is a good one for you.

@missy im really happy you got icecream and some cycling in

hopefully with all that peeing Greg will pass some of those little stones
Im glad he has painkillers of his own now and your dear mom wont be short

Hi @Daisys and Diamonds thank you and Mr Tibby is so handsome. He and Tommy could be twins I think. We got some cycling in yesterday too and hit 9K miles woohoo for the year. Pretty amazing IMO and we are making the best of the situation. If we didn't life would be way too hard. This way we enjoy when we can and deal with the challenges one day, one hour and at times one minute at a time. I am glad you had a lovely holiday. What are your plans for New Year's Eve? Sending you hugs across the many miles.

@Slick1 good morning my strong and brave and kind and generous friend. Sending you love and hoping you are having a most lovely weekend. XOXO.

@Scandinavian you and your mom are always on my mind and I am sending you both lots of positive energy. How is your grandmother doing? And how are the kids?

@Jimmianne how nice you had a tribute and funeral to the bunny and I hope that provided some measure of comfort. Losing our beloved ones is truly the hardest thing to endure and yet death is a big part of life. It's the sad fact that if I could change I would. Greg said he wouldn't change that but if we could live always with our loved ones around us I choose living forever as long as it is in decent health with our minds intact. But I digress. Missy's fairytale that can never come true. I hope you enjoy a lovely weekend dear friend. XOXO.

We cycled again yesterday and hit 9,000 miles for the year to date. Woohoo. @marcy I can hardly believe it. It was exhilarating and yesterday was the perfect December day. In the 50s F. Amazing. @canuk-gal I wish you were here with us and we could all ride together. That would be so sweet. Once you ride our recumbent I don't think you would ever go back to an upright. So comfortable. Anyway we hit 9K and of course celebrated with ice cream haha.

@missy I am quite often told that my writing is dense. NIRDI changes things!

[just going out]

Hello lovelies

Thank you all for your anniversary wishes, it’s been quite the journey, and hopefully there’s still a lot more time to come.

Well, it’s our last full day here, so just catching up on the laundry, ready for the last few things to go in to the case before we leave early tomorrow afternoon.

Wow @missy 9000 miles, what an achievement after what has been such an eventful year. I’m glad Greg is feeling well enough to get out and cycle. It was a beautiful warm day here yesterday, not wintry at all. No ice cream for us, we had a cauliflower crust roasted vegetable pizza and salad yesterday, and after that we were too stuffed to eat anything else

I hope you get all your chores sorted out today @AV_ then you can start on your new paper, sounds like you’re pretty excited about getting it started.

We’d never done a white elephant exchange before @Daisys and Diamonds but Kim’s brother organised it. We each bought a gift at an agreed amount, then wrapped it. We picked a piece of folded paper with a number and that was the position you had in the line to chose a gift. You couldn’t feel or handle the gift beforehand, you just said which one you wanted. The best position is to be the last chooser. Each person can decide if they want to keep the gift or swap it, but each gift can only be swapped twice, then it’s yours. I think people usually buy something awful, but I couldn’t spend money on a piece of tat, and as it turned out, so did everyone else, so we all went home with something nice.

Wishing you a long and happy married @bling_dream19, and looking forward to hearing all about the wedding.

That’s nice that Bunny had a good send off @Jimmianne, Harry, our previous dog is buried in the front garden under a Ligustrum. We haven’t decided what we’ll do with Dottie’s ashes yet, we’ll have to make the decision sometime, as we’re not allowed to bring her with us.

Things always feel a bit flat after you’ve had a houseful @junebug17 , but lucky for you DD lives close by. How’s your brother doing, is he sleeping any better?

I always say I have the bladder of a camel @marcy, unlike Kim who has a bladder the size of a pea  We went to IKEA yesterday as Adam wanted a new chair for his office, and when we were halfway there, Kim was desperate. We were all exhausted by the time we got back. Hope you have an easy day at work, but yay, it’s Friday so almost the weekend.

You’re a brave one @canuk-gal, I can’t even stand upright in skates, let alone actually move on them!

I think we’re going bowling this evening, then a long day and night for us tomorrow. It’s been fun, but I’ll be glad to get home, we haven’t been away this long for years.

Have a great day lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

@Austina Exactly. The sun is down & I am done with this year.

You are bowling! - very exotic to me!

HI;

NIRDI shout out! @missy you guys are super riders! Wow 9K is quite a feat--and in the cold too boot! I do miss my bike--and people are still cycling around us--but I am too old to fix broken bones because of the ice. lol But glad Greg feeling well enough to keep at it!

@Jimmianne your bunny is resting well and was loved.

@junebug17 I know exactly how you feel about a quiet house after the kids leave, odd kind of sensation...I always feel kind of listless....

@AV_ glad you are keeping busy--but not too busy!

@Austina travel safe and well.

I might hit the mall today. Get some exercise and spend some gift cards! lol Exciting life I lead.

cheers--Sharon

@canuk-gal Last year this time, I did not know I could be this lazy! I am still living down that little piece of work.

Happy New Year!

Hi NIRDI’s!

@Jimmianne I hope you are feeling better today. I am so sorry about the bunny. That would be awesome if you SIL’s family came to visit for adventures at your place. How fun. I’ve been looking at hearts too. I can have one sent in to Jared’s to look at if I put 20% down on it; I might do that so I have 2 options when we dig out and make it down there.

@missy woo hoo to 9000 miles of cycling this year. I hope Greg is not in too much pain.

@Austina happy 41st anniversary. How exciting. I totally feel in love with heart pendants from Bewitched too. I read somewhere that pendant actually belonged to her but it worked out that she could wear it on the show. It does sound like it was noisy with Kim’s family. At our last house we had a neighbor lady who cranked up her karaoke machine and sang all the time. She was awful. I was glad when we got AC and didn’t open our windows anymore. Glad the white elephant exchange was fun. Three weeks is a long time to be away from home. I’m with Kim on the size of my bladder. I can’t even make it through a movie. I am not a fan of IKEA it takes way too long to get out of there. You can find many cool things though. I hope you had a safe trip home.

@AV_ I tried to get a picture of my ering on the weight lifting Snoopy but I can’t get the diamond to face up for a picture. I will have to work on that.

@canuk-gal I hope you had fun skating.

@bling_dream19 I am so glad you are enjoying married life. Sweet.

@junebug I’ve been looking at heart diamonds online today. If this heart diamond is even half as nice as my EC I’d be happy. I dug out my little ASET and Ideal Scope viewers. I am so glad you enjoyed having the family together for Christmas dinner. It sounds fun. That’s nice to go visit your brother too. You deserve to relax for a day or two after all the Christmas activities.

@Daisys and Diamonds Tibby is very cute. We had Woolworth here too; I loved finding treasures there as a kid.

The snow storm did arrive overnight. I can’t tell how much we got since it’s snowing sideways and drifting but what’s new there? Marty went to his gym and confirmed it is nasty and icy out. Needless to say I didn’t go to look at that heart diamond today. Darn it. I made homemade soup for lunch and kind of picked up Christmas presents and boxes today plus worked on laundry.

Take care.
