Now I really did it :((

HI:

@marcy we watched the original Jumangi the other night! I fdenjoyed it.

And as for heart diamonds...well don't get me started! I puffy heart them. There are some small yellow ones for sale on pre-loved.

Out for supper shortly. I went to the market and two places had abysmal kale. Bought some anyway, but I hate paying for lousy produce. (or anything else)

@Mamabean healing vibes across the miles…..

cheers--Sharon

@canuk-gal I enjoyed that movie quite a bit. I had chores to work on and I didn't move out of my seat.

I'll go check out the yellow hearts on pre-loved. Thanks. I am seriously considering having another one brought in to Jared's so I have 2 to compare but then i remind myself this is an occasional wear RHR.

I am wiith you in hating to pay for something lousy. Hopefully you have a great supper.

Marcy

GM lovely ladies! It's raining cats and dogs out there (so we better stay inside because we don't need any more furbabies. LOL)!

We enjoyed an amazing cycling day yesterday and cannot believe we are still cycling. What a year it has been but we made it through woohoo and for that I am so grateful. And so thankful for the girls here who stood by me and I want you to know I am here for you however I can be. I am a Leo and one thing we are is loyal to a fault. And I love you girls and am always here for you. As you have been for me unfalteringly so. Sending you all big hugs and much love.

Of course 2019 wouldn't be the same without all the ice cream we consumed. LOL. I think we probably consumed way more than our fair share and probably enough for a small (or large haha) army. Jimmy was insisting giving us our own key to his shop. No kidding. But I flatly refused. He kept saying we are family and he trusts us and this way we could get ice cream whenever we want to since he is going to close for a few weeks in January and he is closed Mondays and Tuesdays generally in the off season. He wasn't taking no for an answer lol but I was able to hold him off by saying we shall see but for now no since we are hoping to go back to Brooklyn next weekend. I have to say the people out here are marvelous and amazing and well there are worse places to be stranded for 6 plus months. Indeed.

Our (probably) last ice cream pic of the year. From yesterday. I got Vanilla and Greg got Espresso. Delish.

I hope I don't leave anyone out but I know it is inevitable I probably will. So apologies in advance. You all know I love and care about you and would do anything I could to make 2020 a good one for all of us.

@junebug17 hope 2020 brings you lots of joy and peace and contentment and love. You have a wonderful family and they are so lucky to have you as their mom, wife and sister. As we are to have you here with us dear Junie. It was a tough year I know losing Zoe and she is at peace now. Having had the best possible life with you and your family. She knew complete love and safety and contentment Junie. Take comfort from that and sending you love.

@AV_ dear girl hope you find a renewed sense of energy and excitement and that 2020 brings you all you hope and long for and much career and personal success. You are a joy and the most positive energy.

@Austina hope you made it home safely and are now resting comfortably and happy to be home. It has been a challenging year I know and I also know our furbabies are at peace now and we gave them the best possible life filled with love and joy and security. And one day we will join them again.

@bling_dream19 hope you are having the most joyous time celebrating your marriage and love. What a wonderful time of year indeed. You are a bright and wonderful energy and we are so glad you have joined us here.

@Jimmianne wishing you much success in your upcoming events (you will be A OK and I am here for you just always know that) and looking forward to perhaps seeing you in 2020.

@Scandinavian hope that this coming year brings good heath for your mom and grandma and that you get the best possible news.

@Tekate Kate the Great and wise sending you lots of love and so happy and excited for you in your new home and new life. And 2020 holds great possibilities. Cannot wait to see you.

@marcy dear Marcy you are a solid friend and warm wonderful person and I hope 2020 brings a mild winter (too late lol not really) for you and a nice weather year plus lots of good things.

@canuk-gal wishing for you a happy and healthy 2020 filled with lots of joy and health and fun experiences. And bling. Of course bling.

@Mamabean dear Joanne, you are a warm and kind and generous woman and we are so fortunate you have joined us. @sarahb dear Sarah I want you to find the best possible things in 2020 and experience continued love and joy and peace. NIRDI that named us. You are a special person Sarah and it is always a joy when you pop in and say hello.

@Sunstorm hope that 2020 brings you all you desire and want and need. Hugs to you dear friend.

@Rainstorm I cannot think of PS without thinking about our friendship and how lucky I am. I cherish you and am so excited to see you soon.

@PierreBear though you no longer frequent PS you are in my thoughts and hope that this coming year brings you and your dh all the happiness in the world. So nice to hear from you the other day. I cherish the relationships I have made here and that are still going.

So it is the last Monday of the decade. Wow. Got here so fast and reflecting back on the year I almost cannot believe we survived it. But we did. We all did. All of us had trials and tribulations and good and bad times and we got through it. Life will surely throw us more curveballs but we are prepared and we all do the best we can one day at a time. I learned a lot this year. About friends and relationships and that I am stronger than I ever gave myself credit for and I am (as always) so grateful for my real friendships and true relationships. I am a very rich person. In love. And I am (despite all the turbulence of 2019) very content as well. Truly thankful for all the wonderful people, animals and things in my life and looking forward to 2020 with a renewed energy.

Thank you NIRDIs for being the caring and loving and kind individuals that you are and my heart goes out you each and everyone of you. Wishing you health and happiness in 2020 and lots and lots of love and blingy joy. XOXO.

The holiday season is in full swing
Enjoying all the yummy new bling
Sharing time with loved ones too
and feeling cheer and warmth anew

I wanted to come here and say
You girls are truly a joyous
and happy part of each and every day
Your friendship, support and love
Means so much more to me than I can ever say
Hope 2020 shines brightly for each one of us
In every single possible way

Wishing each of you the very best
Much good health and lots of happiness
Peace and love and joy
A life full of energy and zest

Happy holidays to all of you
The biggest warmest loving hugs
From Greg and me and our furry crew

Going out to each and everyone of you

Happy New Year's Eve Eve lovely ladies. Have a wonderful day. XOXO.

Thank you Sharon...David has the original Jumanji...It’s a great movie...Thanks for the healing vibes..<3

Thank u Missy, it brings such joy every time I put it on!
It's the ring on my finger in my profile pic.

Hello ladies. Just a couple of suggestions for you:

Missy: Has your DH looked into the idea of a balance board to recondition his knee? Lately I’ve been doing just that with this

Apparently a 30 degree tilt is a ticket to excellent rehabilitation, and the reviews say it with detail :) HTH!

MamaBean: I can’t imagine how much weight you carried over Christmas, hopefully some relief is coming your way.

When I’ve struggled with unending blocked nose it’s usually humidity related. Once levels dip under 50% the fun generally starts.

To remedy, you could try something like this and any humidifier that sanitizes the water, such as this I hope that helps :)

Hi @sunseeker101 I missed this. Thanks for your suggestions.

Yes we have a balance board (among other things good for recovery) from when I was rehabbing from my broken leg surgery. Greg is in decent shape and well, we cycled 9000 miles this year lol. So he’s ready for TKR.

I’m the nervous Nellie but hoping it goes smoothly. Greg will do all the necessary PT to recover complete knee functioning. Just hope he can have the surgery in January. The kidney stone issues might postpone it but we shall see.

Thanks again for chiming in and have a wonderful rest of the holidays. ❤️

Hello lovelies

We’re home after a pretty bumpy flight, all unpacked and everything put away, showered, changed and shopping done. I’ve got a snotty cold but don’t feel too bad, other than being tired.

I’ll catch up properly tomorrow as I’m trying to keep busy to stay awake!

:wavey:

Austina, rest well. Sounds like you deserve a little R&R!

Missy, forgot the odometer readings, where is your icecream-o-medor?!
Ya know, it would be nicely scientific to graph miles vs. scoops.

Just with a quick glance at this page, I am seeing two icecreams & a heart diamond! - a reasonable badge for this place!

will catch up [give or take a year]

@marcy @Jimmianne I ordered a little heart diamond ring from Etsy. The seller is from Ukraine. On the website it looked so much bigger! It actually looks bigger in my photo..but the diamond is like a grain of sand. I can hardly make out the diamond bezel! My Bailey deserves more than this! I’ll be looking for a little one now and have it set..omg

Am I the only one on ebay, etc. all day looking at rings?
It’s what people do when there is no ice cream in the house...apparently.

Mamabean, that’s adorable! You are inspiring me to look for a tiny heart too!
Well...back to eBay, Etsy, etc.

LOL it is what I plan to do after making the cabbage rolls...:)

I’ve been doing the same thing! Now but m off to Blue Nile to find a little heart diamond! I’m thinking about .75 so I can tell it’s a heart. I was thinking of wearing it on the middle finger so it can’t be too big.

Aren’t you a good girl. What discipline!

LOL Finding the perfect diamond/heart takes much more work! I wish I had bought that Tiffany one years ago...………..

Hearts - WWW It is a light & spready cut YF brought up once when I asked about 'star brilliants' (video)

I think that is really cute @Mamabean. I had a garnet pinky ring similar to that but returned it since pinky rings drive me crazy.

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy what lovely and kind words you wrote about all the wonderful NIRDI’s. Thank you for the kind words about me - I sure have you fooled. Ha Ha. I think it’s too late to have a mild winter. Our heaviest snows are March - May. Oh Oh. Definitely stay in from those falling cats and dogs. You know that means I have to say be careful if you go out in the rain because you don’t want to step in a poodle. Nice that you got to put more miles on the tandem bike. How nice that Jimmy wanted to give you and Greg a key for self service; he knows nice people when he sees them. I love your heartfelt poem. It’s awesome. How is Greg feeling?

@Mamabean I have to watch the new version of that movie now. I might rent it tonight. 3/4 carat is the size I am looking at for a heart too. My 1/2 carat most people think it’s round. I found one on James Allen I really liked and may have Jared’s order it in if I don’t like the one they have. Naturally it’s about $700 (at Jared’s - it’s $200 less at James Allen).

@Polabova what are the specs on your gorgeous diamond ring? My little upgrade won’t be that big but I can always dream. That setting goes great with it too. I’ll post my heart ring later.

@Austina I hate to hear your ride home was bumpy. Oh no to catching a cold. I hope you feel better soon.

@Jimmianne I totally love your idea to graph miles versus ice cream. You do find lots of great things on Ebay.

@AV_ hearts and ice cream. You just can’t go wrong with either. Thanks for the hearts video.

@rainwood I’ll answer to mostly anything.

@canuk_gal mmm to cabbage rolls. Enjoy. Was the heart diamond at Tiffany’s a huge solitaire? I keep trying to figure out the L/W ratio I like the best - I think I like the .9 - 1.0 the best.

It was rough venturing out in the cold today. Lots of snow drifts and very icy out there. I dug out my serious squall parka to wear. Tomorrow we might squeak above freezing.

I am watching Jeopardy. I would be acing all the space questions.

I called Jared’s and told them I’d try to come in Saturday. I explored their virtual selection of 3/4 hearts online. Then found the same one I like at James Allen and Whiteflash. It’s .73 G Si1 and looks fabulous in the video. I’ll give the .80 I Si1 a shot first though because it would cost me $700 less. They do claim to do price matching for other retailers but I doubt that counts for online vendors. I’d totally buy from James Allen if I didn’t have the 1/2 carat to trade in at Jared’s.

Have a great evening.
Marcy

Here are the 3 versions of rings I've had with the 1/2 carat heart diamond. It was sold in a basic solitaire setting and I had them put it in the YG cathedral setting. I wore it briefly as my ering. Then I had it put back in the original solitaire ring and bought the ring guard to wear it as a RHR. Then I found the solitaire / diamond semi mount and now I hope to get a slightly bigger diamond.
