I did mention it to the doctor @canuk-gal but she didn’t seem concerned. I know he wouldn’t be able to tolerate a CPAP machine..The next time I bring him in I’m going to ask what the alternatives are.

@Austina I felt bad for Marty working all weekend; I hope they appreciated it. Most of our snow melted but it is still snowing. I’d say we have a few inches still on the grass areas. North of us had 10” of snow and a lot of tree damage. Thank you - I really like my ACA; it fits my hand just right. Good deal they got your alarm fixed. What a relief. Good luck getting your braces soon.

@MamaBee I love your stack in your new avatar but I am not recognizing it at a glance yet. Is that pretty bottom band baguettes? That is great you enjoy sleeping in the attic bedroom; it sounds perfect. I am sure Shatzie loves taking all the food your fixed for him with TLC. Your yard and flowers look amazing. Very pretty. Thank you and yes I am enjoying my new ring and yes that is where I ordered it from. Most restaurants are open as long as tables are 6 feet apart. Customers don’t have to wear masks in to restaurants here but I would say about 50% do wear them. Everyone working in restaurants wear them. We do have a low case number and fatalities here. So sorry you can’t be with Jackson right now; that foundation is already there and you two will make up for lost time. Their vacation sounds fabulous. Big hugs to you.

@Bayek no TV till 6 pm? Glad we both work in the industry so we have an “excuse” to have TV on. You should download apps and use earbuds. I am an enabler you know. Yes we had snow. It feels like 15 degrees right now. Most of the snow melted but we have a few inches on the grass and deck. It is still snowing. I’ll send some snow your way but I can’t promise it will be in the same “form” when it arrives. Stay cool. I am with you - messing with our DH and blaming things on them to amuse ourselves; it is always good to laugh. I totally used to tell people “Marty wouldn’t let me” until it got to the point his friends would answer that for me. We were all amused then. I agree popcorn is a good meal.

@canuk-gal I am glad you had a lovely anniversary. It is sad to see snow coming back but it does look pretty on the Rockies.

I did swap my days at home this week to today and tomorrow. I had no desire to venture out in the snow; it looked a bit icy out there - not to mention COLD!!! I got up in the middle of the night and turned on the furnace. We are warming up a bit again on Thursday.

I had a very busy day at work and ended up working late. Marty picked up food from Culver’s for lunch; I really like their pot roast sandwich; I throw out the bun and eat the roast beef. I made a bowl of soup for supper.

No I have called out for @AV_ several times over the last month and this month and nothing. I am concerned but do not have her contact info. I hope she is OK and I hope she returns here to let us know. She is on my mind. Honey I am so sorry you are missing your family and I know you wish you were with them at the beach house they rented. But hold on and hang in there. Safety first and soon Covid will be over and a happy reunion can be enjoyed. And you will regain the connection I promise. Hugs.

@Bayek your house is looking good! Yes Greg has to have a parathyroid workup. His kidney stones are Oxalate and now there is Calcium in his urine and many other things that shouldn't be there. @marcy oh boy, I think you guys got snow. Watching the morning weather report on the news and it seems your state got some. How did you fare? We had an earthquake here early this AM. Well not here exactly but not far. 3.1 magnitude. We didn't feel it but Sam Champion said it was felt across the tri state. Glad work went OK despite the busy day and yay for a good lunch from Culvers and soup for dinner. I am glad you enjoyed the Snoopy comics. I shared them thinking of you. XO.

@Austina glad the alarm was fixed and by the boy who messed it up initially. He has redeemed himself. Good luck at the orthodontist today. No David was unable tor recommend anything new but I am continuing with the treatment and applying ointments and such to help with the friction.

Hi to everyone else. We had a good cycling afternoon after the very busy morning. Tomorrow storms are coming so going to get some more cycling in today before the storms. But so much to do today. Oy. I am tired thinking about all we need to do.

Listen to this. Jimmy changed his hours for after Labor Day and it is inconvenient for us since we are over 90 minutes away by bike and we wouldn't get back til too late for us. He is insisting we use the key he gave us last year and he will leave ice cream in the freezer for us to take. OMG how nice is he? We will settle up on weekends since he opens earlier on weekends now. I don't know. I mean I am touched that he trusts us so much to unlock the place and go in and take ice cream and lock up again. Wow, right? Today we might take him up on his generous offer. We shall see. We told him what we wanted for today so let's see how it goes. I don't know if this is going to go smoothly or not.

Hello lovelies

How did the house viewing go today @Jimmianne? You’ll know if/when you find ‘the one’, especially after all the hard work you’ve put in to your current home and garden.

Ugh to the snow still lingering @marcy, I don’t blame you for putting the heating on, we had ours on the other day when our friends came, but we were boiling, he’s always cold because of his Addisons. I don’t know what we’d have done without the TV during the lockdown, we’ve watched so many documentaries and I’ve watched 5 series of How to Get away with Murder

It’s hard not seeing family @MamaBee, but I’m sure when you can, the little guy will pick up where you left off, they don’t really have much concept of time, so I’m sure it doesn’t seem that long to him since he saw you. Isn’t it great when plants pop up again? I’ve got geraniums and fuchsia in my tubs that’ve been there for a few years now, they’re sheltered in the winter so have managed to survive.

Yum to a nice meal out for your anniversary @canuk-gal and yay to better temperatures.

Hang in there @Bayek, we’re going to get through this, I know it doesn’t seem like it, but we will. We’ve had localised increases in new infections, mostly the youngsters who haven’t take it seriously, and as soon as they could go and and socialise, completely disregarded the 2 metre and mask rule Fortunately, there hasn’t been an increase in hospitalisations, so either these figures are down to more testing, or the youngsters just aren’t getting ill. Of course, that doesn’t negate the fact they could pass it to their parents and grandparents.

Jimmy obviously knows you’re honest and trustworthy @missy, that’s why he’s happy for you to help yourself. What flavours did you get today? When does Greg have his tests scheduled for, I know you‘ll want it done a.s.a.p. because you’re worried about him. Glad you’re still able to get some cycling in before the weather changes, it’s been lovely here today. Is your self treatment helping to keep the eczema at bay while you’re riding?

We went out for a walk this morning, then I dashed off to the orthodontist. It was amazing to see the results of the treatment, aligner by aligner and I’ll be absolutely delighted if it all works out. Hopefully the first 3 weeks aligners will be back soon so I can get started.

We went out to look at blinds, we have a couple of windows where we’re going to change them prior to selling, but didn’t really see anything we particularly liked. Fortunately our windows are a pretty standard size, so we won’t have to go the custom route as we don’t want to spend a fortune.

Busy day tomorrow with the MRI and then the visit with the consultant, so should have a better idea of what’s going on.

Austina, it is such a cool old house, with many architectural features, but has no view at all, and although livable, needed at least partial gutting and redoing.
Most houses in the village have at least a small view of the river, so I am spoiled. A fantastic view would have made a difference. This house has a view of the schoolyard..
I think one would have to think twice to even accept it a a gift. Lol

Meanwhile, my courtyard is under siege by a jack hammer, so it’s an exciting day.
Well, at least a noisy day.

Yes he is a sweetheart of a man and he is lovely in every way. He sent us a photo of his granddaughter (we met her and she is a doll) attending her first day of class yesterday morning and oh my goodness. Such preciousness. I had strawberry and bourbon pumpkin with dark chocolate (yummmmm) and Greg had all pumpkin bourbon with dark chocolate. Really delish. Sadly rain is predicted for the next 48 hours plus so no riding. It is coming down cats and dogs at the moment. And thunderstorms predicted all day. I am holding my breath we don't lose power but every time it storms we do.

It was a cloudy beautiful riding day yesterday.


We got to ice cream late and Jimmy got there early so we got to enjoy his company too. And I got to change my mind on the flavors I requested the day before so it all worked out haha.

What are you having done in the garden @Jimmianne? I’m sure if you found the place charming when you bought, someone else will too, especially as you’ve done work on it.

Phooey to rain @missy, our weather’s improved and it was actually really warm here earlier. Our neighbour Steve came round to look at the new grass, they’re having an extension done and unfortunately uncovered some other problems, including leaks, so we’ve loaned him our dehumidifier. They’ve had a few issues with their house since they bought it, and don’t need the extra expense of these latest problems. Glad to hear you’re keeping the eczema at bay, and hopefully if you can’t cycle for a couple of days, it’ll really improve. Oh no to not getting the Costco cherries, we’ve had lots this year and they were lovely.

So I went for the MRI and x-rays, then had to go from there to the consultant. He showed them to me, and the good news is that it’s not too bad. I have a teeny tiny spot of osteoarthritis but nothing major, and he doesn’t think I’ll need a new knee in the future What did show up is another medial meniscle tear, no idea how that happened, and that’s what’s causing the pain and crunching and clacking. He said I could do nothing, and it wouldn’t make it worse, but it’d still be painful, or I can have a steroid injection and physio, so I’ve opted for that. If that doesn’t cure the problem, (he thinks it will), then I can have have another arthroscopy to fix the tear. I’m going tomorrow afternoon for the injection, and have my first physio session next Friday. So all in all, good news.

TGIF tomorrow, the weeks are just whizzing by.

Kudo's to my DH who took my car in for servicing and that fly is now out of my cluster gauge. Work order stated "remove deceased fly (carcass) ...". Sorry if that offends but it struck me as funny.

Thank you friends! I want to post properly but that will be a few days. Here are some more fun shots! My hubby loves the 3 prong but I am getting used to them. The post needs to be longer ahh and I think my Costco jackets will work. DKJ said my jackets are G vs1 so that's great!

I am IN LOVE with the mint garnet! What do you think @junebug17 I know you said you love mint garnets! The color is just fresh and fun for the summer and year round! I'm loving the yellow gold too. This was a setting that David found when I asked him if he had anything to fit this garnet. That's my favorite!

And I'm really in love with my sized down Maytal Hannah platinum setting with lavender spinel. I got both setting and stone preloved and they were both meant to be together. Sizing is so difficult lol! It could go down a touch more but I'll just wear a band with it.
The beautiful omc is gorgeous and I'm loving it for my right hand. More in the morning need to sleep. Thank you for the love. Love and hugs y

@Austina yay for only having a bit of osteoarthritis and for being able to treat vs do surgery. Wonderful news. We might go cycling today actually as now the rain is predicted to end by this AM early. We shall see. Have to do a Costco run first and Greg will take care of that. He is a sweetheart as you know because yesterday he went to Brooklyn by himself and cleaned the entire apartment. Darn Covid or else we would have hired a cleaning crew. He was cleaning for 11 hours and isn't done yet but only a few hours of cleaning left and that will be done another day. And then on the drive home he was on a conference call for the board for 2 hours. It was an exhausting day for him and I missed him a lot the entire day. LOL pathetic I know. Haha. Salley is getting old.. but still kicking, when we adopted her in 09/2015 they said she was between 6 and 10 years old, they had to pull teeth etc so there was no sure way to know how old she was or is.. I think she and I are in a race to see who's going to be all white haired first.

How is your mom and Dad and your sister and family? it's getting really sad now that the holidays are coming up and we all have to be VERY careful for our lives and our family's lives..

@Austina ! good news on no new knee, bad news on the tear.. Osteoarthritis can help cause tears (or at least that is what they say happened to my shoulder).... another clean up and clean out for you! How long do have to be outta commission for after surgery? So sorry and I DO understand joint pain and torn whatevers.. The steroid shots imho work great for a certain time then as osteoarthritis advances they no longer do, but in your case I would go for the shot too, I had 5 shots over the years in my shoulder, at least from 2013 when I had my first shot in my shoulder... I'm so glad your physician says you probably will never need a knee replacement! that is super news.. super..


@MamaBee how are your son's doing? and Shotzie? and you, I know you have a heavy heart about not seeing your grands, seriously Auti doesn't remember me at all very well, she isn't interested in seeing grannie on the phone and wanders off and last week she was frozen with fear when Mike and Cara left the area so I gave her a cookie. What ARE grannie's for anyway... miss miss miss our old way of life here in the USA.. I sincerely hope EVERYONE is well in your family and you are getting some rest and happy time... xoxoxoxo

So yesterday I went in for my 6 week checkup and of course I've had zero problem till yesterday morning when I noticed some of my scar is oozing (WTH) !! so my surgeon says, 'it's highly unusual but your internal stitches are not dissipating, they are working their way out of your arm' yup.. I'm different. He said that my body is rejecting the stitches.. IF ONLY MY BODY WOULD REJECT FOOD! no bulimia, just not like the taste, now that would be great.

House is moving along, all the bathrooms are done pretty much. good job on tiling but I do HATE GROUT. hate it.

We haven't heard the cost of all the appliances.. jeez we need to order them.. John is going to send the sales guy an email.

So to everyone who felt the shock of 9/11/2001 I send peace and love and hugs, I am not maudlin except about my kids but for me, as an attack it was a nothing burger, but as the loss of life and the waste of life and the change it wrought, I always feel sadness, I feel so sad for all the lives lost, all the people who had no chance, to the firemen and women who went in and didn't come out.. to the police who did their best, for all of this I feel so very sad.. we are now in Covid hell, it's not easy, but we, the believers in a democratic way of life, in peace, love and all the old groovy stuff, to us I say, we are survivors.. So here is to a peaceful and reflective day..
