Oh @MamaBee I’m so sorry you’ve had this awful episode. Colin is on Beta Blockers at the moment, and is feeling fine, so hopefully they’ll have the same effect on you. I hope you can get your mother in to another facility, because there’s no way you could cope with her home whilst she need so much physical support. I hope she understands and is co-operative.

Honestly @MJ_Mac it was a no brainier when our son asked us to move to Tx. This last year has been awful not being able to see them, and being here alone. Our friends all have their own families, so during the lockdowns, we’ve really been on our own and found it difficult. We keep reminding ourselves that we are very fortunate, we’re retired so Covid hasn’t affected our income, our house is paid for so we don’t have the worry of losing our home, and we’ve done everything we can to keep safe and healthy. Please reconsider your decision to leave, maybe have a time out for a while and see how you feel in a month or two. I did see the thread, and I know from experience that people often feel brave enough to say things online that they wouldn’t say to your face. If you enjoy being a member on PS, don’t let other people drive you away.

Fantastic news your sister got vaccinated @missy, just keeping everything crossed the weather co-operates for your parents on Sunday.

Sooooo, Adam and the realtor went up to place we’re thinking of buying. We had a tour of the showhome, she answered all our questions, then drove out to the lot we’re interested in.

We’ve done it! We’ve said yes to the house, yes to the lot, just waiting to sign on the dotted line, and once we do, the price is fixed, so no nasty surprised.

I've had a hell of a week. Work was off the Richter in terms of workload ran for 8 hours no break .

Theft our our bikes was the worst tho. Dealing with the realization that my best friend is gone because someone helped themselves. Dealing with Police, security issues, and all the rest. That is all I can manage to say.

And I mean it - don't leave PS because of people here: there are ways of managing it. Trust me - I've been there.

Just a health update - TIm is back to 100%, tho I wouldn't be surprised if he had Covid. His nose was persistently blocked for 10 days, and he had a couple of 'really pooped' days in there. Very unlike him. If it was sinus, it was the weirdest sinus thing I've ever seen. Anyway, he's better now, so that's good.

As for my health, my back is much better, so it's possible it's calmed down for now. I'm not having any surgeries I don't absolutely HAVE to have, so I'll talk to the neuro and see if she's ok about me pushing this off for now. Humira is meant to start next week, but I'm dubious. It's such a big drug....

@mrs-b Hola! and don't worry - I got those pounds you smartily didn't put on this past year.. I have got to do something about it too. Oh thank you for the support and kind words and I hope you are right, she is very very sick and the only good outcome is a heart transplant and wearing a VAD - Ventricular Assist Device - and she said to me that she didn't want one and she didn't want a heart transplant, I said well you need to and a few other words and then abruptly said "I gotta go!", she has to do this, she's only 56 and got some horrid virus and this is the end result after 4 years of downhill heart ability to pump. I hope I hear from her soon because I miss her and wish I could take it away from her.. Her husband is very protective of her and his texts are cryptic to say the least.... I am in the woods here.. but thank you because you made me feel it wasn't necessarily me, and I appreciate that mucho.. hugs to you and a huge xoxoxo

@marcy ouch Marcy! I am very sorry to read your brother in law has been in the hospital 3x!! in one week and they are thinking it's heart related, I sincerely hope you hear good news Marcy, truly do. Well, I would go with WF only because of their upgrade policy, it is generous. Are you thinking maybe a bezel with little diamonds, I am not a fan of regular style halos except Missy's, her's is the only one I have ever seen that doesn't overshadow the stone, probably because her stone is huge! and an OEC, I really like the think bezels with like diamond dust around them, the little teeny diamonds, it looks very cool I think. I didn't have a 19th nervous breakdown about Chris, it's a long story Missy but you know my story of my growing up years and when something seemed wrong as a kid, IT always was and it wasn't good, so when I can't reach my sons I try to not freak but with no one answering in Brooklyn I went nutzoid, i try not to do these things but it's very hard to control my brain.. hah!

Physicians, meh. I am sad to read but not surprised that no one listens and not one doctor will do what the he**l a patient asks for.. I am sorry Greg is tired, his body has changed and I am sure he will get what he needs from the meds as they start to take effect, which doesn't make it any better, he would be feeling better if they had prescribed what you asked for, but Greg is very healthy and I believe that he'll start to feel better soon.. AND I'm with Mrs-B May? he won't know anything till May? as an over 65er with medicare I get calls weekly from my PCP's office (not her of course hah!) that I didn't have my 'visit' with my PCP's designated representative to go over my health - sigh - the Medicare WELLNESS visit, I call it the PCP visit that is a waste of time!" visit, it's not a checkup, that's not always covered by Medicare, my insurance extra plan does cover checkups but seriously do I really need to go to see a nurse, or their designee to discuss my 'health' I find it intrusive and I find it an easy money grab for your doctor, John has been called eVERY week to schedule his, neither he or I have ever been to one of these 'free' chats, and in this time of Covid I suppose these BIG anonymous practices need money.. dunno, sorry there I go.. off to the races.. Medicine is not for the sick really, it's for the vultures.

As an ex-psychologist, I hate the term 'stalking'. It's used so casually these days, about anyone being interested in anything to do with another person - and it dilutes the real meaning of it, which refers to something dangerous and life threatening. That term should never have been used in relation to your post. I'm sure she was just using it, tho, in the throwaway sense and meant you no harm. I mean - come on! - hunting down and reading threads about jewelry is what we DO here! Hardly makes someone a stalker, and I'm sure she knows that.

Give her a second chance, MJ - Lisa truly is lovely and I can see she felt terrible she'd hurt your feelings. Her apology was sincere. And besides - PS would be less without you!

Looks like i missed a lot; im sorry.
My palm is healing very slowly (my body doesn't heal much unfortunately).
Kids stressed me today but thankfully i calmed down.
The kids school is just never ending. I feel like i am a student again but to the power of 10. I hate it honestly. The kids have such long days & then non stop homework both in books & online. (Literally 4 different practice websites to visit daily!)
I am so exhausted

IDK because NYC has already had to cancel two other vaccination days this past Monday and Tuesday and that is why they added Sunday to their vaccination schedule...it is very disorganized and I would not be surprised if we had to try getting them appointments all over again. @mrs-b I‘m happy your back is much better! I agree with you...I would postpone any surgery that can be pushed back. I’m actually overdue for an echocardiogram. I cancelled it twice. I will go in April if I get my two vaccines by then..I’ll still continue to double mask though!
That‘s great that Tim is feeling better...If it was Covid then you both are lucky it was a mild case. Will you get yourselves tested for antibodies? Have you scheduled a vaccine yet?

I sent my bangle back to David to shorten. We were emailing back and forth about much to shorten it...He suggested closing the bangle and adding a clasp. I said that would be great. I have no idea how that would work..or even what he means..At this point in time...whatever it is I’ll be happy with..I miss my Bee..

They all stink as far as I can tell...it is a frustrating mess I agree. NY, NJ, PA and so on and so forth. Maybe Connecticut is doing a decent job from what I can see. Would need to talk to more Connecticut people to really know.

I know people who are completely healthy and young and strong who got the vaccine who are working from home. In many states so not just the tri state area...inexcusable IMO. But what else is new? Life is anything but fair.

Sending good vibes to all who need and want the vaccine. May everyone be able to get it soon.

I wish I could find her Christmas cards! Here are a couple of photos I just took of ones she did for Tim and me last Christmas. The dog is my beautiful boy, Dixon, who died a few years back now.

They're just delightful, and I think she could have a fair degree of success with it, if she has the time to apply herself to it. But time is the issue: students these days seem to be thrashed in this country with their workload. Just stupid.

Hello lovelies

Oh no @missy, what a disappointment, hopefully they’ll get another appointment quickly, but I know how difficult it’s been getting these ones. People may criticise our Govt for things they’ve done during this whole crisis, but the vaccination roll out is going great guns and they’ve made sure they were first to order lots of different vaccines.

The blue skies and snow are so picturesque - when you’re looking from the inside out, but the chaos it causes, ugh! Thank you for sharing our excitement, I hardly slept a wink last night, so much running through my mind.

Oh my goodness, what a talent @mrs-b, I think she’d do very well with a business, they’re absolutely lovely. Thank goodness you and Tim are both feeling better, it’s likely he could’ve had Covid, our friend Richard has so far not been ill as such, so who knows. The good news is, the scientists are saying the vaccine is still effective against some of the new variants, and they can make a booster if needed. I think you’re wise to put off any surgery you absolutely don’t have to have at the moment. Did you hear about Captain Tom, (he’s the 100 year old who raised all that money last year)? They think he got Covid from a hospital visit, poor old soul.

I think your bangle will be beautiful whatever DK does to it @MamaBee His work always looks lovely and screams class!

A young lady post on the FB free page I belong to, asking for a crate, so we’ve given her Dottie’s as well as her lovely big bed. She’s adopting a stray from Romania, who’s coming over next month, so I’m happy they’ll be put to good use. She was very appreciative when she came to collect them, I put them outside and she picked them up from there.
