@MJ_Mac Hola! thank you so much for your caring words, I very much appreciated them, made me feel better, my friend is in the hospital again so I don't think I affected her as her husband said she went into V-Tachycardia storm at a doctor's followup visit and so I didn't cause her any problems and if her husband texted me about this latest event then I'm sure I was just having a Kate meltdown.. thank you so much again, I sincerely appreciate your kindness. If I can say, I so understand your feelings on PS, I was so shaken by women who were really venomous, mean, seriously I do understand wish you would reconsider, this is the best place in town, the NIRDIland.. but I seriously understand your shock at being treated very poorly by posters.. @missy WOOHOO! great news for your sister!!! I'm so glad, it's wonderful news, she can visit your mom and dad in a few weeks! Kathleen is back in the hospital with another V-Tach storm, they are going to be moving her to the another hospital that is a heart hospital and Monday or Tuesday they will be doing some type of ablation that the docs hope will stop the constant storms in her heart.. Jim was nice to me in his text so I guess I just feel so out of it and not able to help and I went nutzoid. thank you for caring sweetie! I hope Greg is feeling okay today - VA is supposed to have more snow today, not sure about the great NYC area, Chris is not moving Missy!! he negotiated with the management of the building and he is staying another year, he's thrilled because he doesn't have to move! I'm thrilled because he's near Danny and while Dan isn't there much Anne COULD if she wanted cross the street, walk up a few flights and ring his bell.. she does have two Olympic medals (not gold as her daughter bugs her about).. she is in GREAT shape.. I'll stop being made at her, just jeez.. You can give MJ my email if she wants it if she wants to chat at all, I so understand her situation. XOXOXO

Kathleen is back in the hospital and will be having some type of ablation done either Monday or Tuesday, that should slow these attacks of V-Tach down, if they are going to do it they must think it will help. @Polabowla I started writing a hi and a don't worry because by late summer I think we will be getting to the point where we can go out and kids can go to school.. I am sorry it's hard for you because girl, I would have probably beat my kids silly (I really never hit them except a few times and now they are 29 and 33 and one is a dad! himself).. but I found motherhood sometimes very hard, fearful, scary and wonderful, but to teach my kids? NEVER.. I hate teaching, I love managing.. ha! be kind to yourself because you deserve it! all love xoxo Kate

Hi NIRDI’s!

Thank you all for the well wishes for my BIL. Turns out a blood clot hit his kidney and he has a bruised kidney. Based on Dr Google that is not a good thing. He’ll have to always be careful now. He did start to feel better today and even drank half of a shake. He can at least eat but remains in quite a bit of pain. He does have an appointment with a cardiologist on Tuesday for the AFib. I appreciate you thinking of him.

@missy I hope you are feeling better this weekend and Greg’s new medicine helps him feel better too. I am sending mega dust out there hoping he won’t end up needing radiation treatment. Your area is really getting hit with snow; stay safe and warm. That’s great you and Greg ventured out for walks in the lovely snow. Beautiful snow pictures.

@Austina I was going to go to Jared’s and Marty just told me go with Whiteflash. I will email Brittany tomorrow. Your house looks FABULOUS. How exciting to find what you want and to be moving forward with it. How far is it from Adam and Kim? That is awesome Kim wants to call you and Colin Mom and Dad. Your sitting room looks cozy and comfortable. Very nice. That is great you were able to donate a crate to a young lady so she can adopt a stray.

I wish you didn’t have to spend so much time in the hospital; hoping the next 2 years are way better for you. I am delighted to hear both you and Tim are feeling better now. @MamaBee oh no for your BP going up. Glad to hear you doctor is adjusting your medicine. I also can totally tell when my BP is high. Mine tends to be borderline anyway. I hope that sapphire is beautiful; it honestly looks pretty nice to me. I find my sapphires notoriously hard to photograph the pictures capture more dark spots and the basket / prongs more than your eye ever does.

@Bayek I am going to get another ring from Whiteflash. I doubt I’d ever upgrade that diamond (for sentimental reasons) but I feel more comfortable having them mount my ACA in a new ring. Yes, @missy’s halo is perfection. I really like halos with gemstones but IMO they can compete with a diamond. I do like tiny diamonds in the band but I am leaning towards a plain old solitaire. I hate to hear your friend Kathleen is back in the hospital. That is good to let her DH know you are there for them.

@MJ_Mac I totally believe people can act crazy when there is a full moon. I don’t believe planetary alignments can change our behavior. Of course as an astronomer I do believe the stars can control my life. Ha Ha. I hate to hear you were upset by some comments from another poster. Trust me I’ve thought of quitting PS many times because of many nasty comments or assumptions not necessarily directed at me but I don’t like anyone acting like that. As @Austina said people online say things they’d never say to your face. Being old and set in my ways I try not to let things bother me anymore - sadly I don’t always succeed. Hoping you are feeling better about it now.

@canuk-gal sorry you have a hell of a week at work. I like measuring it on the Richter scale - I might have to find a graph to hang in my cube. #rottenthingtodo steal your bikes. I hope the police find them; I am so sorry that happened. Oh no to having a toothache. I sure hope that gets better right away.

So I went back and forth on my loose diamond and what to do; I even tried to get Marty to make up my mind for me but he opted out of that (until later anyway). Today I took a few rings in to Kays and Riddles to be cleaned and checked so I had them check my diamond ring. All that it was is loose prongs. They tweaked them for me for $5. She said for an almost 7 year old ring it is in good shape. I passed on going down to Jared’s since it was snowing all day. Marty finally asked me why I was reluctant to send the ring to Whiteflash to get fixed and asked why don’t you just get a new ring from them? That is what my gut was telling me to do so I have a few picked out and will email Brittany. I want a setting that protects the diamond a bit more.

I got my hair cut this morning and got laundry finished. Marty grilled some tenderloins on the frigid grill (took forever since it is low teens here) so I made mashed potatoes to go with them.

Tomorrow is lifting day and I plan on making a pot of homemade soup.

It's like the tightest squeezing crushing pain in my entire body. Lasts for hours, makes it hard to breathe , swallow food etc.
Was worse this time than previously, down my leg as well.

@canuk-gal My heart goes out to you. I cannot imagine how awful having one's beloved bicycle stolen is but Greg had his bike stolen when he was a teen and it was awful he said. SO yeah I can understand how bad you are feeling and it is a violation. I had a pocketbook from my grandmother (she was deceased and she had left me her vintage pocketbooks) stolen from me once and it was quite upsetting. It was really all I had from her and nothing much was in it but the pocketbook meant a lot to me. And it was stolen out from under me. Anyway I hope you can replace the bikes soon and when the weather is nicer enjoy cycling again. Big hugs to you sweet Sharon.

Thanks @Austina, it really is. I was more worried about my parents and my sister than I am about Greg and me mainly because my parents are older and my sister has bad asthma and is going to work every day. So now that they are all vaccinated I feel like I can breathe a sigh of relief. Hoping you and Colin are next!

@marcy - thinking of your BIL. If it's an option, tell him to speak to an electro-cardiologist re an ablation. It's what I had and it enabled me to get off amiodorone - and, as I have OFTEN said re that super, super powerful, deadly drug - "That sh*t'll kill you!" I was on it for about 7 years, and it's a miracle my thyroid didn't crash before then.

And here's a photo of my back courtyard. This is the area which is paved with cobblestones, and which is fenced, so we have a smaller area to keep the dogs in when we don't want them to have the run of the whole yard (they tend to be diggers!). What my dog is doing - or why - I have no idea. Setters are cold weather dogs to an extent, but this is a tad beyond the pale, even for Ballin! Snow is still falling and is considerably deeper now than when this photo was taken.

I checked the past 24 hours temps here and it was -29C at 0800! :eek-2: Bright sunny day but it has hit the high for today, -24C. LOL.

My tooth is still sore, but not like the past two days. I'll have to have it checked out this week. Grinding too much I guess. (I just got a new guard...)

@missy very happy your family had their vaccination!! Take it easy in new storm. And those ferals don't look too unhappy!!
