Oy to the max @mrs-b I’m so sorry you’re feeling unwell and had to cancel your appt. Good news that it’s NOT the dreaded covid, absolutely the last thing you’d need now. That’s interesting about yoga, I’ve always thought that exercise isn’t good for you! Seriously though, what a pain that something you think is good for you is causing more problems. Loved hearing about your early life, seems we all have a lot in common. Similar story here, we’ve always made it on our own without help from anyone else, Colin has been made redundant 3 times over the years, but we’ve always done OK, as long as we have each other eh?, that’s all we need. Wishing you better health in which to enjoy your gorgeous new sparklies.

I’m sorry you’re facing such a difficult decision, it’s hard to know what’s for the best, but I know that, as with all things, you’ll do your research and figure it out. Wow your niece is so limber, oh to be young and bendy! I know nothing about these things, but her technique looks so professional.

We had to meet a landscaper up at the house today, we didn’t go in because the back door was locked and a key safe was on the front door, although we could still get in via the garage, as that wasn‘t locked, so much for security Nothing more had happened since yesterday, so nothing new to see.

We did meet one of our other neighbours, nice old gent who was with his lady friend. She was quick to point out she wasn’t moving in with him

Hi all..Chris appreciated the birthday wishes. The pot roast was nice and tender. He loved it. He also asked for a cheesecake birthday cake..lol The best cheesecakes are made by Costco..no kidding. They are yummy.
@canuk-gal I’m sorry you burned your steak..I make terrible steaks. I don’t even try. They come out like hockey pucks. Pot roast is easy peasy.
@mrs-b Im so sorry your feeling I’ll! Did you take a PCR test? The antigen tests don’t always pick up Omicron. I was so sick a few weeks ago. My antigen tests were negative but I decided to get a PCR test to make sure. I was negative but I felt so bad. I hope yours is just a bug. Nasal congestion is awful. Feel better soon!
@missy I’m glad your groin is feeling better. I pulled mine out once. It really hurt. That good that it didn’t slow you down.

I got blown away today and picked up my newly designed AVC! She is now set in luscious 18kt YG with bezels and all the credit goes to the one and only beautiful @mrs-b !
And @mrs-b gifted me a surprise diamond in the band! And had Amy surprise me with a butterfly engraving in the band! I am blown away that @mrs-b did that for me. This ring has super special meaning now and I will always treasure it. Transformation and healing is happening and I'm still me. A girly girl who loves to laugh, love and wear the bling!

GM girls. I am very groggy this morning. Not a great night's sleep unfortunately. Lots on my mind.
Yesterday was a gorgeous day. We hiked and then later I had an entertaining and informative zoom call with my new friends. But OMG it went so long and despite ending it at a relatively reasonable hour I couldn't get to sleep and as a consequence I am tired today. It's why I don't like to do calls that last into evening. Too stimulating for my brain. Especially intellectual conversations which are the only convos we tend to have lol.

@mrs-b ugh I am sorry it was postponed but it's for the best. I hope you wake today feeling 100% better. And that bling photo. SWOON! I don't know who/what is more beautiful. The bling or you...you!!!!

@Austina We will keep the house in Pennsylvania while my mom is at the nursing home down the road. We will sell the house in Maryland. We will go there next weekend to make a list of things to do before we put it up for sale. My husband is a slow mover. He wants to wait until after the fall. I want to get it done so we can put it up before the end of the summer. That’s the prettiest time. I have beautiful flowers in the front of the house. People sail their boats and cayak right near our house..Summer is the best time. I have to keep working on him.
Hi to everyone else. It’s another busy day. The guys are coming back to finish up the basement leak. Now we are researching people to put the wall back. Decisions have to be made about that darn pool table. It was expensive so my husband is hesitating..but also rebelling about getting rid of it. I want to donate it to a center that has an after school program for teens. We’ll see how that goes.
I also have an appointment for my mom with the ENT.

@MamaBee, a vacation with your son and family sounds wonderful, especially after these past two years. Good luck with preparing your house, I know it's a lot of work. And sorry about all the aggravation with the basement, it's a hassle. I'm in the same boat with our basement. Four feet of sheetrock is missing on all the walls from the flood we had and right now our basement is too full of our kids' stuff to fix it. We also have a pool table down there and have no idea how to get it out. We might just give it away if someone is willing to get it out themselves lol.

We've been in SC for the past few weeks. Dh has had to travel a little for business but he's happy he gets to come back here lol. Weather has been nice for the most part, anywhere from 65 to 75...too chilly for swimming, to answer mrs-b's question. Heading back to NJ next Monday. My sister decided to have a surprise dinner party for her husband so she and I have had a very busy couple of days preparing for that. Since it was a surprise I took her shopping and we had to do all the prep and cooking at my house...and then I had to bring everything over to her house. Needless to say we're both exhausted! It all worked out well and my BIL had a great tme.

I had those pans. I loved them. I was really careful not to scratch them. My son made eggs in one. I had to throw it out after he used a stainless steel utensil to make them. My DIL also used a metal spatula to make eggs. Yup..I had to throw that one out too..I went back to stainless steel frying pans. lol

-11 @canuk-gal 85 here today, I keep willing you some sunshine and heat, but it’s obviously not working! I have lots of Le Creuset pans, my set of 5 saucepans I must’ve had for 30 years or more and they’re all still going strong.

Thank you @junebug17, it sounds like you’ve been having a wonderful time in SC, and the surprise party sounds like lots of hard work, but fun.

I’m glad the basement work is nearly done @MamaBee. My thoughts on selling houses is strike whilst the iron is hot! This property boom can’t last forever, and it’ll be one less thing to worry about if you sell sooner rather than later.

I’m not surprised you have medical fatigue, what you’ve been dealing with these last couple of years would certainly try the patience of a saint @missy. I can’t believe how the so called medical professionals are of no help whatsoever. I’ve never seen a groundhog before, Gary’s cute!

After being told we could go up to the house after the trades had left, we went up at 6pm, to find the gates closed, but another resident let us in. The house was all locked up, but we could see the appliances were in, and something we weren’t expecting - we’ve got a front door! Not yet stained, it should be ebony, but if things go the way everything else has, it’ll probably end up being brown!!!!

Oh well, at least some progress.

Hi everyone else. So the breast ultrasound today picked up a new growth...most likely a cyst but the radiologist wants me back in 6 months since it's new (and he's been my radiologist for mammograms and breast ultrasounds for over 20 years). So back I shall go. April 13th already set up. He actually just called me to reassure me about it. But wants me back.

The gyn office just contacted me and she wants me to repeat the pelvic ultrasound in 6 months. To see if what is going on with what was shown on the pelvic US I had April 1. To complicate matters I started bleeding the other day and so will have to do another forced shed and praying it works. I didn't tell the gyn because there's no point. I had a biopsy and four pelvic ultrasounds in 9 months. I will see what happens. And I do have an initial appointment set up with a surgeon but if I must have a hysterectomy I hope I can wait til winter. But of course hope I don't need one. What a few years it has been.

We went cycling after the appointments this AM and look who said hello? Edgar the Egret. He is a snowy egret. Isn't he gorgeous? Yes he is.

@canuk-gal stay warm with the coming snow. Agreed farmers will be happy. I am hoping for lots of snow and rain so summer forest fires aren’t so bad this year. @springspaniel it is amazing how 20 years flies by. Marty and I will be married 31 years this summer. Wow!

@Austina I keep saying the same thing - so much for retirement. Marty gets home from the gym in the morning and comes in to the den and asks me if I working - then laughs. Nice you and Colin have an anniversary coming up - may I inquire how many years? You are literally counting down the days until you can move in to your beautiful new home. I am excited for you and Colin. Bertie will miss both of you. Glad you got in to your house anyway. I am sure keeping people out is a safety and security issue but it’s annoying when it’s going to be your house. Yay for progress though.

This old retired lady got up at 6 today and was working by 7:15. I worked 5 hours today and Marty was running out for errands so I went with him. They called and said they had his plates in - no way they made custom license plates in less than a week so they must have been there at the clerk’s office when I went in lats week. He took the plate off the back of his pickup and we ran it down there. He was even next in line - good timing. Then we stopped at Ford to pick up the bracket so he can get the plate back on his pickup and went out to lunch. I even had a glass of wine with lunch. Ha the joys of being retired - ish.

While we were out it snowing but not enough to stick on the ground - either that or it blew it all to Nebraska.

After we got home I did my usual work and will wait until Marty leaves for the gym to do my lifting. After a big lunch I guess I’ll have peanut butter on toast for supper.

They asked me for a photo and bio at work. I found Dr. Evil's life story online (from Austin Powers) and sent it to Marty asking him to proof my bio for me. I crack myself up; that is such a classic.
