Now I really did it :((

Sigh. Back went out again at 3am this morning when I got up to use the restroom. Took a step to the right, turned, and....that was it. Ripping nerve pain, leg went out from under me and it's all been on since then.

Sitting and typing is hugely uncomfortable so I'll be MIA for a bit until this subsides. Hoping all is well for you all in the meantime.

I’m so sorry your back went out @mrs-b - sending you mega dust and big hugs. I hope you are doing better tomorrow.

@mrs-b Oh no…I’m so sorry your back is hurting again. Hopefully it will heal quickly..xo

GM girls! Happy almost Passover and Easter holiday. And happy Thursday.

It's a heat wave here. Chance of thunderstorms later but we are going to (probably) chance it. Greg's heading to Costco this AM (he's gardening now...that man loves gardening) and then hopefully a safe bike ride. I started my forced shed last night because my cramps were just too intense these past few days. No real bleeding yet which worries me just because if I am not bleeding the lining is building up. What a mystery. Why am I constantly spotting. OK so that's enough from me.

@springerspaniel your warm words yesterday lifted my spirits. They really did. And I feel the same about you. Big hugs and much love. Good things are coming.

@marcy haha you crack me up too. Dr Evil. I would like to see that bio. Glad you got work accomplished and Marty did lifting and peanut butter on toast sounds pretty sweet. I eat almond butter every day. It tastes very similar so much so I do not miss PB. Oh no to snow but glad it was just a dusting. Speaking of snow...

@canuk-gal what's the snow situation over there? We are going to be in the 80s today. Honestly that's too hot for me this time of year. And with chance of thunderstorms watch out. I do not like thunder. It can be so damaging. Stay warm and cozy.

@bling_dream19 hope you have a good day today and big hugs sweet friend. One day at a time.

@Slick1 hope the week is going smoothly and you are looking forward to a happy holiday weekend.

@MamaBee I keep vacillating. What to do what to do. So many decisions. Hope you had a good walk last night.

@mrs-b so many healing vibes being sent your way.

@Austina yay for the front door. Little by little it is almost done.

Hi everyone else. I hope you enjoy a terrific Thursday. Be well. Lots of love and hugs.

Leaving you with a photo as we were cycling yesterday. It was foggy (or as I like to say froggy haha) due to the warm air hitting the cool ocean temps.

Hello lovelies

Oh no @mrs-b, I’m so sorry that after a good spell with your back, you’re now in pain again. Hoping some rest and TLC will help get you back on track again. Take care.

Ugh @missy, I’m sorry to hear that things aren’t good again, hopefully your forced shed will kick in and bring some relief. Although worrying, it is reassuring that the Dr. Is keeping an eye on the mammo results and wants a follow up. I hope the weather co-operated enough for you to get out today. To Eric the Egret, he’s very majestic looking.

Oh my goodness, @canuk-gal your weather is just crazy. Hope you’re keeping warm and safe.

Snow @marcy :-o you’re going to need that afghan if this keeps up. Sounds like you and Marty have fun kidding around, what’s life without laughter? Colin and I met 44 years ago on the 22ndo_O

Are the repairs all finished yet @MamaBee? Have you persuaded S to sell the house sooner rather than later?

Not long now @springerspaniel, then a new start.

We’ve had a couple of really frustrating days with banking issues, ugh, poor Colin has been pulling what little hair he has left, out! I won’t bore you with the details, but oy!

We went up to the house today, and they’re grading the front and sides ready for landscaping. We also peered through the back windows and could see that the kitchen sink tap had been installed, so looks like the plumbers were in. We’re going to request ‘permission’ to walk through the house at the weekend, hopefully they can’t find any excuse to say no.

Big love and hugs to you all :wavey:

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!

Just a fly by--work was exhausting. I knew it would be and it did live up to my expectations. I really had no break. I just ran all day.

@mrs-b how upsetting you had a relapse. Please take care.
@missy sorry for your pain. Glad you got to cycle and I am jealous of your weather. Broken record here....I think Mother nature is a little mixed up. Flurries now and the high was -6c.
@Austina peering through your OWN windows--that's gotta be a first.

That's all I've got. I hope folks enjoy their long weekend.

cheers--Sharon

@missy When you make your decision..try not to second guess yourself. If we only had a crystal ball to see the future.
I‘m sorry I missed your text today. I got so many that it got buried. It was another busy day. That’s great you got to cycle today…Was Greg able to fix it?
I had to go out to get David a chocolate Easter bunny at the store. We’re going to Maryland tomorrow so I had to get it today so it can be on the table when we get back on Sunday. It wasn’t raining when I left. All of a sudden it got so windy…It started raining buckets..I could barely see out the window. I kept hoping that we wouldn’t lose power at the house. Fortunately it passed…I did look like a drowned rat when I got home..I bought him his chocolate bunny. He still believes in the Easter bunny. He’s 37 next week..lol
@Austina We are fixing the house in Pa. We’re not selling this one at this time. We’ll keep it as long as my mom is in the nursing home down the road. There’s no rush to get anything done but I’m anxious to just be finished. We have a lot to do though. I can’t get the wall closed up until we know for sure that leak is fixed. Then we have to hire a contractor to fix the wall. Next we have to purchase a new wall to wall rug. We are going to the house in Maryland tomorrow to make a list on what repairs we need to do over there. I would love to put that house on the market during the summer…I will have to schedule things on my own because he isn’t in a rush. Once everything is done I will then press the point.
You’ve been having so much trouble with the banks. It must be nerve wracking…I hope Colin can get it straightened out quickly.
I hope you can get the okay to see the inside of the house. That seems even crazy to say!
@marcy You are so funny! I love the way you both kid around with each other.
I eat a tbsp of peanut butter on toast every morning with my coffee. Yummmmm..
@bling_dream19 @mrs-b I’m sending hugs and healing dust to both of you. xoxo
@canuk-gal I hope the extra work is helpful and not giving you stress.
Did you get your pans? :kiss2:
Hi to everyone else. My husband is standing over me telling me it’s time to watch our shows. He’s a nag. Of course I’m perfect.

Sorry @MamaBee I was getting confused about what‘s going on with which house  I think I’ve got it straight now:D

Sorry work was a bear @canuk-gal, I hope you have a good weekend.

Yep, these banks are a total PITA, they use different forms of codes required for transfers between them, and after all the problems we had with the last big transfer, Colin is very reluctant to take the word of their online help that it doesn’t matter if the details don’t match.

GM girls! Happy Good FriYAY and holiday weekend!

@bling_dream19 thank you for the info and I will check it out today. Big hugs. Have a wonderful holiday and happy Good FriYAY!

@MamaBee haha life is certainly not dull around here. We got home twenty minutes after I texted you. I knew you would enjoy the photo :) Greg did fix both issues and we will be testing it today lol. Wish us luck. It's a purrrrfect weather day too. Yesterday was pretty nice but inland was too hot. By the coast it was sweet...cool and sunnier than predicted. Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend. Happy Easter to you and Happy Passover to your sweet daughter in law. XOXO

@Austina oy to the vey. I am sure Colin will straighten it out but who needs the extra aggravation. Hopefully it will go smoothly from hereon in. Big hugs. Have a wonderful holiday!

@Slick1 happy Good FriYAY and Easter weekend. Be well and enjoy the family. Hugs to you and Bear.

@springerspaniel I hope you have a wonderful holiday and best wishes for your new job that is starting. Big hugs and much love. Please hug Freddie and Clyde from me.

@mrs-b I hope you are feeling 100% better and enjoy a marvelous holiday weekend. Lots of love.

@canuk-gal I hope your weather is improving! I would say come here but I know that isn't practical. After the pandemic however you are more than welcome to visit anytime! Big hugs and enjoy wonderful holiday.

@marcy I love the new photos. You look great both ways but I choose smiling over the serious one if I have to choose. Have a great Easter weekend and a very happy Good FriYAY! Be well. Hugs.

Hi to everyone else. We had a good ride yesterday but heading back home at the end of the day we broke a bolt on the bike. Luckily we were just 5 miles from home though 5 miles is a long way if the bike won't cooperate. Greg didn't have a replacement bolt but he figured out a makeshift temp fix so we were able to ride the last 5 miles home. Whew. This isn't a bike you could walk home lol. Anyway it's all fixed now ready to ride today. Hopefully! It looks like a beautiful day and good weekend weather. Fingers crossed. Have a wonderful holiday everyone. HUGS.

We saw Edgar again yesterday so will leave you with a photo of him. He's the most photogenic baby isn't he?

Look at his tail...all fluffy!
He hasn't moved from yesterday it seems haha. I wonder what is on his mind?
Screen Shot 2022-04-15 at 6.04.51 AM.png

Greg is always prepared. Note all the tools spread out.
He made that tool roll (bag) by the way.

Screen Shot 2022-04-15 at 6.06.40 AM.png

Lastly a photo of the surfers yesterday. It was a warm beach day. Hazy but purrrrfect surfing weather with good waves.

Screen Shot 2022-04-15 at 6.09.30 AM.png

Enjoy a wonderful FriYAY girls! May it be smooth sailing the entire way. XOXO.

Happy FriYAY friends! Thank you for all of the love and support. I am blown away by the amazing compliments on my ring, especially by @mrs-b I am wearing this beauty everyday. She is sunshine! Thank you for all of the healing prayers.
I am thinking about each of you and sending lots of love and hugs! Enjoy the spring weather and a beautiful day!

Hello lovelies

So glad you’re enjoying your beautiful new ring @bling_dream19 and glad to hear you’re doing OK.

Oh no to the mechanical problem @missy, it’s a good job Greg is so handy and well prepared. I imagine it’d have been a nightmare hauling the bike 5 miles home. Aww Edgar is indeed very handsome, we used to get herons on our pond, the naughty things loved to feast on the goldfish.

We went up to the house to see if they’d finished grading the front, and the garage doors were up and the front door was open. I walked up to the door and there were electricians inside (not the previous) ones, I told him we weren’t coming in as we weren’t allowed, and he said his guy was just going off for lunch so if we wanted to go in, it was OK. I told him thanks but don’t tell the site manager  The missing sink was in, so were the toilets, our bathroom has taps, so does the kitchen sink. The water heaters had been installed in the garage, so there really isn’t that much to do. Still some wood flooring to be laid, I think they’re waiting for a delivery.

There’s going to be a lot of grass for Colin to mow!!!

Happy Easter everyone :wavey:

Your house looks beautiful! I think Colin will need a riding mower! It’s going to be so pretty with all the land you have..

GM girls and happy Caturday Saturday!

@Austina beautiful! I cannot wait to see what landscaping you will do. If we lived nearby I would lend Greg to you and Colin. He could do some magic but I am confident you guys will create some amazing scenery. So excited for you! XOXO.

@Tekate happy Easter sweet Great Kate! HUGS.

@bling_dream19 I haven't had a chance to check out the link but I am looking forward to it. Knowledge is power. And I hope you get to come to the shore soon. It is cathartic and magical and we miss you. Dave and Tom don't open til May but we enjoyed some ice cream with Jimmy and Michael yesterday. So yummy. The only thing that was missing was you. XOXO.

@canuk-gal sending you gentle hugs. I imagine the holidays are challenging right now. Thinking of you.

@mrs-b hope you are enjoying a lovely holiday weekend and feeling good. Tim too. XOXO.

@springerspaniel happy Easter and have a wonderful time with your loved ones. Hugs.

@MamaBee hope you had a good drive yesterday and all went smoothly. Continued healing vibes to Chris and a very happy early birthday to David. XOXO.

@Slick1 happy Easter weekend! Be well and enjoy. XOXO.

Hi everyone else. We had a glorious cycling day yesterday. Today is cooler and windier but we are cycling nonetheless. Now I am into cycling mode lol. We also had our first ice cream of the season and not sure why we waited so long. Oh wait yes it was too cold before since I won't go inside to have the ice cream until the pandemic is over. So outdoor weather has to be acceptable. Anyway it was on the house (so sweet) and it was yummy. We are back. :)

Have a wonderful day girls and big hugs and lots of love.

@mrs-b this is their special strawberry ice cream that they are making for me. So delish. Just strawberry. SWOON!

Have a sweet Saturday girls!!!

Oh wait, I almost forgot! We saw Cleopatra yesterday. Not her real name but we named her since we don't know her real name. She is a kitty we see as we are cycling the shore. She lives about 5 miles from us and is someone's kitty but they let her roam around. Which is dangerous but I have no say in the matter. Anyhow we love her and she is so sassy. We saw her yesterday for the first time this year. She rolled around in the dirt and gave us a sassy stare. LOL I just adore her.

In honor of Caturday Saturday this Easter weekend may I present Cleopatra. Sassy lassie that she is. :kiss2:

She saw us as we cycled down her street and she ran in front of us, looked at us and then promptly went up the hill to roll on her back.

Screen Shot 2022-04-16 at 5.56.06 AM.png

Then she noticed we were still there (I was taking video haha) and she stopped and turned her head to look at us as if to say (with that expression omg)...

Screen Shot 2022-04-16 at 5.55.57 AM.png

Keep moving along, Nothing to see here. Get a life. LOL
Screen Shot 2022-04-16 at 5.56.14 AM.png

Or she could have been saying come on over and rub my tummy. Not sure which one she was trying to convey yesterday afternoon but we were running behind schedule so sadly that tummy rub will have to wait til next time. :)

Enjoy a wonderful day! (((Hugs))).

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@missy I envy your cycling! Another brisk day here--wind chill was brutal. But it is bright and sunny. Cute cat pics!!

@MamaBee got pans! They are gorgeous--hope they stay that way!!!

@springerspaniel hope your new job is everything you want!

@marcy has it stopped snowing yet?

I work all next week and am dreading it already!! Oh well better than sitting around. We had our Easter dinner yesterday--very busy weekend for my boys. I ran around today as well, got pans, paid my taxes....

Hope everyone is safe and well.

cheers--Sharon

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy I hope you are feeling better. Sorry to hear you started a forced bleed again. Glad you got in some cycling. I know the spring rains have arrived but since I quit my job I don’t keep up with rained out baseball games anymore. Thanks for the kind words about my new picture. I needed one for my new job’s profile. The first one I wished I was smiling but thought well it’s okay. Then someone on FB asked me why I looked so serious which made up my mind to have Marty take another picture. The lighting on the second batch was awful but I liked “me” in it better and I was smiling so I tweaked it to get better lighting and color. Greg is such a blessing and that is awesome he was able to fix the bike so you didn’t have to walk home for 5 miles.

@Austina your house is looking great. Ha Ha you were able to go in and look around. That is great you met Colin 44 years ago next week. Very cool. Marty and I do like to be amused and joke around. You have to have some fun! Oh no to banking issues again.

@canuk-gal I am sorry your work week lived up to your expectations. I hope you can rest up this weekend. No it hasn’t stopped snowing yet. We had snow on the ground this morning. How about your neck of the woods? I hope you love your new pans. I remember getting my Cuisinart stainless steel pans. I was so excited. The next morning I decided to use the large skillet to make us French toast. I used too high of heat for it and burnt the crud out of the French toast. I couldn't get the pan clean, I was crying because I ruined my new pan. Marty of course rescued me and used a polish to clean up my pan. A friend of mine had the same brand and told me you don't cook with them on as high of heat as before. Since then - I've done fine.

@MamaBee darn you were out in a heavy rainstorm. LOL to chocolate Easter bunnies - I just like them. I bought both of us one a few weeks ago. I am glad to hear you enjoy peanut butter too. It’s my go to for breakfast or supper when I’m not really hungry but know I should eat.

@bling_dream19 keeping you in my thoughts. I am glad you are loving your gorgeous ring.

@springerspaniel love the Easter springer!

I got ambitious and went through my clothes and cleaned out the shelves in the closet. We have 2 huge trash big bags to donate and now there is room on the closet shelves to store our camera bags. Woo hoo! I tried washing one of my cotton sweaters in warm and then dried it on medium. It didn’t shrink it at all. Phooey. I don’t want to buy a bunch of new ones. I was eyeing a few at LL Bean but think I’ll wait until fall.

I didn’t work many hours yesterday so ended up writing some articles for the paper and got most of the newsletter done for the astronomy club.

We are going out for supper in a while.

Take care.
Marcy

HI:

@marcy I'm getting a new "camera bag" myself! YSL. I know I have shelf space for it. :lol-2: :kiss2: Enjoy your supper.

@Austina wow your house looks like a house!!!

cheers--Sharon

GM girls and happy Easter Sunday!

@marcy could you please come here and help me clean out my closets lol. I definitely need help. I am glad you had a good day and got to enjoy supper out. I think you look fab in both photos but yes the smiling photo gets my vote. Glad you didn't work too hard yesterday and yay for almost finishing your astronomy newsletter. Happy Sunday!

@canuk-gal glad you enjoyed a lovely Easter dinner with your family and you were quite the busy bee and got so much accomplished! Good for you. I hope today is a relaxing day for you. Ugh to working all next week but I am sure it will go fast and hopefully smoothly. I am not looking forward to the next two weeks truth be told. Lots of doctor appointments. Not fun. Have a happy Sunday!

Hi everyone else. Hope all is going well and you are all enjoying a lovely holiday weekend.

We had another good cycling day but today is too cold and windy so hiking it shall be.
Leaving you with a two photos from yesterday.

Jimmy gave us a taste of the chocolate Guinness flavor. They make all the ice cream themselves on premises. OMG so good. He burns off the Guiness so you are just left with the delish taste and it really goes well with chocolate. So good. And we chose cherry vanilla. YUmmmmm.

It was a gorgeous cool breezy day yesterday. We really enjoyed cycling.

Have a wonderful Sunday! ((((Hugs)))).

Happy Easter NIRDI's! Are you a butt person or an ear person?

Hi everyone!

@canuk-gal nice you are getting a new camera bag too. If this stupid never ending crazy wind would stop I might actually go out and take some pictures. I hope you have a relaxing day.

@missy I'll be right over to help you clean out your closet. Can Greg make apple pie for us? Ha Ha. I didn't plan on doing as much as I did but once I started, I just kept going. Although I still have a ton of clothes in the closet it feels like I don't have a thing to wear. Good luck with all of your upcoming doctor appointments. The ice cream looks fabulous! I've been on an ice cream kick lately too. I keep picking up orange sherbet and then have a little bit of that and either add some vanilla or chocolate ice cream with it. I limit myself to a small portion but it's enough to make me happy that I had some ice cream. I agree, the smiling picture looks better.

Dinner out last night was quite delicious. We split a bottle of wine and our dessert was a giant ball of vanilla ice cream rolled in crushed Oreo's. We didn't even finish it since it was so much but it sure was good. Marty was happy because he got my car up in to the 3 digit mph territory. Love those wide open country side roads.

Not much on the agenda for today. I am lifting here shortly and working on laundry. I hope to get several inches knit of my afghan.

Take care.
Marcy

GM girls and happy Monday!

@marcy that looks so yummy. I will be right over.:lickout:
And yes Greg can and will make apple pie when you come. I promise. :)
Glad you had a wonderful dinner out and got lifting in and afghan knitting accomplished. Sweet.

Hi everyone else. Hope you all had a lovely holiday weekend.
We went hiking yesterday and it was gorgeous.
Today is another very windy chilly day with big storms arriving after 5PM today. Yay...not.
But we are going hiking and then hunkering down til the storms pass.
Tomorrow I have two medical appointments which I am not (big surprise) looking forward to.
But today is today and tomorrow is not yet here.
Enjoy a marvelous Monday lovely ladies. Big hugs NIRDI friends. XOXO.

Leaving you with Pete the Cormorant. He is drying off not showing off but he is beautiful.

Happy Easter NIRDI's! Are you a butt person or an ear person?

IMG_0343.JPG

Haha! I was sending the same one to everyone yesterday!

Hi everyone! ! Today is David’s 37th birthday. He asked for a cat..Since my hubby said no..I got him a stuffed cat. If anyone reads this that doesn’t know David’s situation..they would think we were weird… He also asked for a Brusters ice cream cake. It will have chocolate cake, chocolate ice cream, chocolate fudge in between..with colored sprinkles and M&Ms. That’s a bit too much chocolate for me..and I LOVE chocolate.
I’m picking up my mom..I’m making all David’s favorites for dinner..
Chris is still sick..but better than yesterday. His fever is lower..He won’t get tested so we don’t know what he has..He said he mainly feels warm and tired..no other symptoms..I told him I won’t see him for two weeks if he doesn’t get tested.

Hi NIRDI's!

@mssy beautiful photo of Pete. Wishing you the best with your appointments this week. Those ice cream balls are delicious. I bet we could easily make them too. They use vanilla Hagen-daze ice cream. I might try them the next time we have company over for dinner. Mmm apple pie.

@MamaBee happy birthday to David. I like chocolate too but that cake sounds very sweet. I usually don't get things added to ice cream if we go anywhere since the ice cream is sweet enough for me. Good idea to get him a stuffed cat; that is why my "pets" are all stuffed is due to allergies. I hope Chris feels better soon.

I slept in a bit today and only did about an hour and a half of work so far. My former senior manager sent me a nice email this morning - he misses me because my replacements require his help frequently. I told him that is how he and I learned the ropes was trial and many errors.

I am meeting a friend for supper today - it was her birthday yesterday. Her apple pie is divine (like Greg's) and she made one yesterday for Easter. Maybe she'll surprise me with a piece of pie tonight. A girl can dream, right?

It's sunny and near 50 here today but I have no idea about the wind yet. It's not whistling out there like it has been lately. I did get up at 5 am briefly to look at the 4 morning planets. Anyone who gets up before sunrise and has a clear view to the east and southeast should look for the planets. Venus will be brightest, Jupiter is next bright and lower than Venus in the sky. Then to the upper right of Venus is a reddish star which is Mars. Then the next bright star to the upper right of Mars is Saturn. On April 30 and May 1st Venus and Jupiter will be really, really close together so is well worth taking a peak at them if you can.

Take care.
Marcy

Hello lovelies

That ice cream looks huge @marcy, I’m sure you could easily replicate it at home in a more manageable portion  So glad you had a lovely meal out, it‘s good to do something normal isn’t it?

Happy birthday to David @MamaBee, I had to  at him wanting a cat, because we all know who’d end up responsible for it. Did he like his stuffed one? That chocolate cake sounds right up Colin’s street, he loves anything with chocolate, but people think I’m strange because I don’t really like chocolate.

I hope you managed to get out today and enjoy the scenery @missy before the bad weather hit. It’s been (another) lovely day here, the good weather is certainly a big bonus for us. Good luck for tomorrow, I hope the appts going well.

Aww @springerspaniel, your Easter bunny is gorgeous :kiss2:

Thanks @canuk-gal, it’s certainly coming along!

We‘ve had a quiet Easter, we went out Saturday to look at furniture for the games room (last time before making our final decision) and there was a small market near the stores, with food stalls and live music. I had my first hotdog since getting here and I couldn‘t eat it all. Colin, on the other hand, had no problem eating his and the rest of mine

We went up to the house this afternoon, and it was open, so as no one was around, we went in. A few more things had been done, the doors and door furniture were on, the bathroom accessories were in, and the loft hatches were open, so we think they might’ve been putting in the a/c. Not much more to do.

I hope you all had a good Easter. :wavey:
