Octopus babies in a large range of colors, now how to decide

Re: Octopus babies in a large range of colors, now how to de

I think you should bring them headless, and let people choose their pearl.

I'm sorry I won't be there!

Re: Octopus babies in a large range of colors, now how to de

I'm one of the octo baby holdouts who would love to see them in person at the ruckus. I like the idea of headless, but on the other hand, I love, love, love the way the colored enamel picks up the colors in the pearl.

Not much help to you, huh?

Re: Octopus babies in a large range of colors, now how to de

The enamel adds an entirely new dimension to the octo, and really looks wonderful in the photos....my mind is a tizzy!

Me too! I would think that option would be really special!

Also wish I was going to the ruckus this year but hoping for next year. Emergency surgery knocked that dream out of the park this year!

I agree Tucs. Beautiful pendant!

Re: Octopus babies in a large range of colors, now how to de

Ringo is so beautifully detailed, and what a bright, shiny head he has! Is that the silver with light oxidation?

Re: Octopus babies in a large range of colors, now how to de

I'm going to be an octo mom, too! I just signed the adoption papers for this little guy. When NL posted his picture a couple days ago, I just knew I had to have him. I hope he will be home with me soon.

Yes, octogirl thought he presented best with a little oxidation...and I agree!

Re: Octopus babies in a large range of colors, now how to de

Congratulations Kay, that's my favorite little octopus yet! Octogirl, I'd love to see these in July, any way you bring them :)

Re: Octopus babies in a large range of colors, now how to de

Great choice Kay!

Re: Octopus babies in a large range of colors, now how to de

Ringo looks great on you, Pirard!

Nice Kay, I look forward to photos of your new baby!

Re: Octopus babies in a large range of colors, now how to de

Kay, I love your little octopus. The tones of the enamel and the tones in the pearl are perfectly matched.

Pirard, that's a beautiful pearl, even without an octopus.

It's an Octo-tidal wave. I'm happy all these little guys are being adopted!

I'm wearing mine to work today with a multi color rope. The omega is a reversible yellow/ white gold necklace.

Pirard, CRD, Lovinggems, Tucs, Ennui, NL, thank you, I am very excited to be adopting this little guy. I got to see 4RG’s bronze octo baby over lunch yesterday, and I was very impressed by the level of detail. I can’t wait until my octo baby is home!

NL, I love the way the octo looks framed by your gorgeous rope. I’ll have to copy that look. How fun that you’ll be adding an enamel baby to your collection. I have the feeling that I’ll end up needing a second one too, lol. :naughty:

Lovinggems, did you decide which type of gold to use for yours?

Re: Octopus babies in a large range of colors, now how to de

Just paid off the adoption fee for Big Papa!!!!! I can't wait!
