Anyone doing anything fun this weekend? Other than, of course, watching the Detroit Red Wings win game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals??

BF and I are going to Philly tonight to see my lil bro and his fiance. Tomorrow, FSIL and I are having a girl''s day (no boys allowed)--Morning spa treatments, lunch and then...Sex&theCity!!! Afterwards, we''ll meet up with the men and let them take us out for dinner...

All-in-all...should be a good time.

Man, Bia! You have an action packed weekend! I am jealous! I can''t WAIT to see SATC! I think the BF said he''d go this weekend with me. What a trooper -- it''s his birthday weekend, even!

Taking him out to a really nice dinner on the 72nd floor of the Renaissance Center in Detroit. BEAUTIFUL views, supposedly. However, expecting rain tonight.

And of course, Gwen, one can never complain about chinese take out!

I am going to a girlfriend''s wedding Saturday. It''s a 3-hour drive away, and we are getting a hotel room. Hoping the weather holds up for her (they''re calling for T-storms!). It''ll be a blast, though, I''m sure!
To the mall tonight for a shrug for myself and shirt/tie for DF.
Sunday = recovery day, probably staying in and watching movies (and hopefully not hurling!)

My weekend should be interesting! My parents own a cabin in the mountains, and we''re having a girls'' weekend up there with me, my mom, BF''s mom, BF''s sister, BF''s aunt, and BF''s cousin.

So apparently EVERYONE is having Girls Weekends! Maybe partly due to the SATC premier? OR just coincidence?

Aw, all these Girl''s nights sound so awesome. I''m having a very non-girl weekend. Baseball game/BBQ for SO''s company, more painting in the apartment, Iron Man if it''s still playing (I''m praying that it isn''t! But don''t tell SO!). Hopefully some relaxing and studying because I have finals next week!

I had to reply because I am also having a girl''s weekend! Tomorrow night is the bachelorette party for my friend (I''m in the wedding which is only a few weeks away!!) We are going into Boston and have a limo for the night, so it should be pretty fantastic!

Unfortunately since the bachelor party is also this weekend and they are going away, I won''t see BF this weekend (he is the best man in the wedding). But I know he and I will both have a great time at our parties!

Aliciagirl - I REALLY didn''t want to see Iron Man either, but seriously -- I loved. I couldn''t believe it, and I hate to admit it, but it was actually a good movie. So don''t worry too much if SO gets to drag you along!

I have a rehearsal dinner tonight. Tomorrow we have the wedding. Sunday is a day of recovery and then Monday is my day of fun to make up for all the stuff I have to do this weekend! I will be going to see SATC on Monday for sure. I am not really a girly girl so two days of getting dressed up (pantyhose? Eck!), doing my hair and make-up and worst of all wearing heels - means I need at least two full days to recover and get the dirt back under my nails digging in my garden

Today I''m enjoying a MUCH needed day off! Work has been utterly draining lately. And not because it''s been busy-- quite the opposite. I''ve had nothing to do lately and it''s starting to wear on me. I keep getting assigned all of the crappy things that nobody else wants to do, like photocopying (which has nothing to do with my job).

So I went to the gym, meeting coworkers for lunch later and then SO is coming tonight! Yay. I can''t wait to see him. I think we''re having ''date night'' tomorrow night. We''ve been trying to save money so we haven''t been out for ages and he wants to take me out.

But for the most part, probably a low-key lazy weekend. Movies, hot tub, a walk, etc.

We had a busy weekend last week, so this weekend we don''t have any specific plans. Its just one of those "wait and see" type weekends for us. Its always fun needless to say!

Oh wait! I just remembered something! In our town, in the summer, they do a little farmers market every weekend. Well, once a month they do pie contests. We went to the cherry one last year and filled up on 9 different cherry pies! Anyhow, I just found out today that they are doing strawberry rhubarb this Sunday and my boyfriend loves strawberry rhubarb. I will let him know about it tonight!

It''s hard for me at time like these to be away from both my boyfriend and my friends back home--both of whom love to celebrate both big and little things! My friends here I have known for less than a year and they have a tendency to flake out on me sometimes and it leaves me feeling rather alone. I am thinking about just going and getting the Chinese takeaway on my own, but I am not sure if that would make me feel better or worse. I think I will wait until I am hungry for dinner and then decide. I want to do a little something to celebrate! It''s been really hard to get even this far--getting a job in another country is NOT easy!
