Mmm, I love Icekid''s too. There is another one on Gene''s page that D&T pulled up, a trillion, that is a little bluer, too.

Thank you so much for all the suggestions!! Love to drool over sapphires. I am so used to the standard shape stones that some of the non- traditional ones scare me. Anyone have a picture or know of a thread with this type of stones set?

Here is a stone I would love at half the price!!!! I am hoping to keep the whole project around $3,000. Something like 2k for the ring and 1k for the stone. Does that seem like a doable budget?http://www.awesomegems.com/gems/gs2521.jpg

agreed about icekid''s ring... the color and setting are just perfect imo.

my suggestion, and something that really helped me when I was looking for my sapphire, is to compile a collage of the colors you''d be interested in. That was imo, critical to moving along the process when I was contacting cutters. I would tell them I was interested in a sapphire of around certain mm size and shape, attached a collage of the colors I was interested in, and everything took off from there.

Thank you Kas Baby that was a wonderful idea. I went to a local jewelry store a bought a ring. Once home I realized that it wasn''t THE ring. Sigh....I''ll be taking it back on Monday. Is there a ring out there for me???!!!

There is definately a ring out there for you. You just have to figure out what looks good on your hand. Sometimes it''s not what looks good on another person''s hand. The collage of color idea is a good one!

Also making a collage of what settings you like and HAVE tried on and still like would help.

Good Luck!!
