I actually bought it second hand from a private seller. Although Gene does cut this design very well too!

It really is quite fun to play with. And I''m a big dork, so I love the pixelation.

Wow, that's a fun stone! Enjoy!

Such a lovely stone! When I first saw pictures of that kind of cut i thought for sure nothing like that could be real

I love that blue green. It''s just right.

What about something like this?
I wouldn''t think with this type of cut you would want to have diamonds around it.

I LOVE PG''s, except I would leave the sides totally open, no scroll work or whatever.

Very, very cool stone.

Are there any other gems that can be cut with this pixelated effected?

It pretty much covers my entire finger since I wear a sz 4.5.

Very interesting. I like how it changes colour from each direction. I don''t know how to set it because if it were me I''d want to play with it to watch the colour change.

MTG, if you don''t mind me chiming in (I was the seller):

HotPozzum, it originally came from the cutting wheel of the late Robert Collins, but I assume any cutter would be able to do something similar -- the design he used was a modified version of Jeff Graham''s "Smith Bar" cut.

Could you do something like that ring Gene posted, but a bracelet? I think it would be gorgeous in an E-W cuff bracelet. If I''d kept it I would have tried to do something like that.

Hi Deorwine! Hehe, I didn''t know it was you!

I''m not a huge bracelet person either, I mostly just wear a watch or my jadeite bangle.

Anyways, it''ll be awhile before I have funds to set anything. I may sell off some of my collection that I don''t wear often, so we''ll see. Believe me you guys will be the first ones I bug if I send it off to be made into jewelery!
